"Pac died at 25, Biggie died a year younger, All my life been broke, I'm motivated by my hunger, Told my mama bury me with a 3-57 Just incase God trip and I don't get into heaven" Best part
"life's a bitch right from the start, that's why you come out your momma cryin". "Told my mom to burry me with a 3-57 just in case God trip and I don't get into heaven". Two of the most realist verses I have ever heard in my entire life! I get goosebumps everytime I hear em.
It is the year 2024...I am now 30 years old. I think I first saw this when I was in middle school. And as a spoken word artist myself, this is still my favorite poem. Still thinking of you Pat and sharing this piece.
mhmm, don't think we may last as a species if we don't slow down on the exploitation of people, animal, plant and natural resources...but hey, two rich yt guys shot themselves into the upper atmosphere this year 2021, woohoo, while everyone else chokes on the fumes from their rocket ships...
i don’t know why this has been on my heart, I watched this as a child, all week this performance has been on my mind!! Pats Justice you killed this, you inspired me as a little Cali kid, one of the only westcoast rappers who made it on Def Poetry Jam, the Westcoast Lyrical emcee has had it hard in the 2000s, “I had a lotta pain in my heart, that’s why I started to rap” me too Pats Justice! Thank you for inspiring the next generation of spitters. I rap the way I do because of people like u! HIPHOP WILL NEVER DIE it’s in our #ancestry
You saving up for a Bentley, I'm saving up for a TANK.... That's just the mindset of a soldier______ this is future prophecy for 2025-2032 7 years of tribulation. This guy was way before his time speaking about preparation for war! Salute to you Pat!
It's 2020 & I'm still watching this 🔥 artist. He knows his future, cause he knows his past. They used to show this on HBO on Friday's after school. Now it's unfortunate that today's generation doesn't have show's like this anymore.
watching as many clips as I can in 2021. I know, used to stay up to watch this on HBO. With the "woke" generation now, I wonder if many would understand the messages of spoken word / poetry. ANd understand the fight for equity is a continuous one, maybe never-ending.
The world is a better place because you exist! I'm a teacher, my students will see this...I promise you that. What you have to say matters that much! Add your name to the greats, you've already made a difference. Thank you for lending your brilliance and your voice to a group that has never had one..."The Innocent Criminal'- You sir- RIPPED Rap :)!
I miss Def Poetry. This show was proof positive that not everybody from the ghetto is a thug, drug dealer, gangster, killer, or criminal. There are actually beautifully poetic souls from all walks of life there if we just take the time to look and most importantly, listen.
I think it's proof positive that many people are from the hood, thugs, ghetto, and still poetic intellectuals. The two are not mutually exclusive, yet informative of each other.
Honestly, I think they took this show off the air bc it spoke too much realness lol
i believe it
Right on point they don't want people hearing truth he speaking some real shit
Mhmmmm
they don't want us to eat - dj khalid
Same thing with The Wire
"Pac died at 25, Biggie died a year younger,
All my life been broke, I'm motivated by my hunger,
