A penny for my thoughts You once offered a penny for my thoughts to understand my mind, Fearlessly diving out from society’s shallowness and deep into my divine. And the solace I found in finally being perceived as something more than a simple feat achieved or as a pawn in a cyclical game of defeat. But rather as a soul trying to be complete tired of running from all these men who want to mislead and being able to rest my feet, and allow my soles to concede. To you. As we slowly start to bind, the start of you and end of me begins to mentally combine. Every second of our time I long to uncover and unwind any part of you I can breathlessly find. And take in all of you within till I can entirely call you mine. I want to be the reason why chemically you start to feel overwhelming ecstasy as I steadily discover your mental complexity. And as we reach pleasure tandemly we climatically peak in transcendency of physical dependency.
2020 here....still watching and, more importantly, still sharing. This should be total goals for every poet, and expectation for every woman. When the day comes that my daughter says "but mom, he says he loves me" I'll show her this, and tell her to settle for nothing less...than a penny for her thoughts.

To mean this means the love that he has for his women is priceless...Sex is ok but that feeling that you have when your in love is so overwhelming that you want to burst out in words that you never thought you would say or think...Poems like this actually make me think what it would be like to be with a guy..because a love that he just blessed me to listen to, made me chance whole perspective of what a real love could be like..most people would turn down a penny but if someone offered me a penny

@BowToMySkill This poem is telling a story. Maybe you need to pay closer attention to what he's saying. He's telling a story about how he met and fell in love with a women. That unlike most other men who have approached her, only wanting to get "closer" so they can be physically intimate, he wants to get to KNOW her mentally and spiritually. He wants to truly love her for who she is.
When I watched this as a high school girl, I decided that this man is describing what I deserve and never knew how to say it and since then I've never accepted less until recently and hearing this now makes me mad at myself for not making sure I get what I deserve
