Every MotorBeam video, I always try to figure out the location of the shoot. Since I stay in Navi Mumbai, I am able to recognize a lot of these locations.

EVs are also very consistent. Bikes and scooters start feeling sluggish as KMs add up. You can actually feel the engine getting rougher as the oil gets old.
With EVs it is the same experience when it was new. You get the same pull and same power. Range might drop over the years but that is manageable.
@@anirudhhhh well EV performance drops as battery percentage drops and when the battery life shortens in the long run it is gon feel just like an old regular scooter
@@dawg7339 Yeah within a charge as the battery percentage drops the acceleration drops slightly. I have Ather for more than 2 years now only below 10% you will feel power drop.
As battery ages you get less range but acceleration more or less remains same.
I bring this up because. Motorcycle feels great after it is serviced but in few thousand KMs the crispness goes away.
With my Ather it was the same pull through out the year.
Used Ntorq for 3.5 years...sold it and bought Ather 450X...Saved around 50-55k on petrol within 1.25 years 😊

I'm a petrol head, but i've own an ather. Forget about Ntorq, in hilly places where i lived, even aerox couldn't keep up with me. But that is different in plain areas where roads are straight. The reason why i bought the ather is in remote areas where i live, there is always not enough fuel to buy, but i have fallen in love with ather day by day.

I bought Ntorq Race XP yesterday and it is interesting to see this comparison. After taking delivery I reached about 100 Kmph and the feel was very good. EV is the future when looked from many aspects but still the way in which the exhaust sound is tuned to be sports and lively definitely brings more satisfaction.

It's simple. If you drive 30-40kms daily it's nothing wrong spending more to buy ola or ather. It's worth.

Quick meaning their initial acceleration is faster but they internetly aren't fast going
Well the initial acceleration is very important in city commutes to overtake vehicle. And people mostly buy scooters for daily short commutes

Other than that EVs are best like ola and ather and TVs I qube is also best
Ather 450x can use Warp mode just for 15 minutes. After that it automatically changes to lower mode.

I have few points that keeps bugging me and no one talks about it,
1. EV after 10 years are useless, can't send them to scrapyard because of battery.
2. Issues in disposal of battery packs at End of Life.
3. Leave ICE vehicle for years and it'll still work but once the EV gets deep discharged it is never coming back to life you can't even charge it, instead there is a possibility that battery may burn if you try to recharge it.
4. Hybrid bio fuels are getting cheaper and more efficient for ICE as the years roll by hence reducing the dependency on fossil fuels solely.
Now tell me what has bigger environmental footprint on a longer run? Are EVs really that Eco friendly? 😂
Well I am an automobile engineer who love EVs for their advance electronic features. But to be honest, ICE really has a soul it can be revived even after 100years. Whereas leave an EV unattended for couple of years and it's Tata Tata, bye bye, khatam😂

@@udiptaaryah7782 unlike Android phones, the OTA (for now) comes directly from the manufacturer there might be glitches here wnd there but that's about it, Android in phones can be modified so you see MODS of the ROM it's possible to do it in EVs too (technically), but can't due to the key holders being the service centre guys (official employees)
@Cristroxx your explanation is not convincing...even tesla's has crashed so many times due to faulty updates for eg : the incident occurred in CHINA another eg : OLA's reverse parking feature which had some software issue ended up the vehicle to move forward instead of backwards ....just like any other technology ...ev's, if everything functions more on software thn hardware it will hav security issues nd bugs ...which is life threatening..

TBH there is one point no one talks about whether it's a connected ICE vehicle or an EV. What about cyber attacks? Is there any protection from being attacked. The more integration we bring the more vulnerable we become to cyber attacks. In a connected machine we still have a chance cause your machine isn't always connected except a few which have a direct interface on the other hand these EVs which are getting OTA updates. How will they protect their vehicles being remotely controlled if it comes to that?
How do you think you can get cyber attacked on an electric scooter? How many times have you gotten cyber attacked in your life so far?

Well scripted!!Kudos!! Keeping aside which is better, EV or Petrol..I enjoyed the script and the acting.... According to me, EV is the future, but this is present! EV will be the normal may be after 5-10 yrs. EVs (Scooter & Car) has a looooot to learn and experiment and develop to be the normal!!
If you're buying now go for petrol..anyways, you'll buy a new scooter after 7-10 yrs, for for EVs then! Till then EVs will be way more developed and reliable!!

I own an Ather 450X and initially I had range anxiety, but after a week I'm so happy!! Full charge in ₹12 to ₹15 and ride 85 to 90 kms 😆💜(I mostly ride in Eco mode).
I didn't buy the Ather to go green or anything...it's to save money on petrol & maintenance🤣

I understand EV is the Future. But at this point of Time. ICE still trums the mile. Expecially in hill areas.
We generally kept scooter for 5-8 years. Given that time frame the adventage of EV is not that much. As for now EV are best choice when you have money to spare for Secondary Vehicle. Strictly for city commuting.
As much as i like Ather, the 450x is not for me. It just too cramped for me. Maybe i'll opt for River Indie
