This car is around 4.79 lakhs and MG comet price is 9 lakh,,,, almost same looks but less seating capacity and two extra doors,,,,, I think this is better than any other small EV cars,,,,
even the comet is technically a 2 seater because the rear row is best for short people and kids
Yazuka Karishma costs less than ₹2 lakhs.
As a car enthusiast I can say that if marketed properly and educate buyers then it can be a game changer.. design needs to be improved for sure I can say. This should be India's " smart car"... This guy should reach out Ratan tata sir. He'll surely help and guide him

Both are different. Comet is not a two seater "PMV". No one in India would buy a two seater car for personal use. We have scooter 🛵 for that.

Sharks should have supported him. With no background in automobile he created a car in 6 years with just one crore is damn impressive. Its very difficult to design and manufacture and on top of that automobile regulation are very tough. Its uphill task for him. Plus he has bring the price to 3 lakhs. Hope he succeeds.

Tata Nano failed because of faulty marketing. It never looked aspirational
Nano targetted the lower middle class , and wanted to make a car that could be affordable for everyone . It was a beautiful intention but in india car is class thing.

I think he gave to answer aman Gupta about safety issues is the 4 wheeler car is always safe than two wheeler. So the car is replace the 2 wheeler bike of the middle class family..and is obviously more safe than two wheeler
it is a sceptical product in a country like india where people relate status with their vehicles..but if looked from a simple and broad minded perspective, this def is a product for the future citizens.
If the final product is good it can also be exported

I think marketing this as a Bike substitute rather than a full blown family car will be a great opportunity and business model . People will start ridiculing this car which is done for some serious use and problem. It will be lot safe for the senior citizen or people who up and down like 20 km everyday on a bike in heat , rain and extreme cold

@@GODGaming-qn8me depends on what they have for us to offer on table...and if people are not bying this at a rate of 3 to 4 lakh then they will never buy MG's quadricycle whos price is from 7 to 10 lakh and is noway near to PMV in look and PMV has some amazing features which looks fancy...3 to 4 lakh is somewhat affordable but i or anybody will chose to buy a car like brezza i20 or other cars if they have to pay 7 to 10 lakhs for a quadricycle...to bhai khel to khtm ni hoga mg se iska qki funding milne k baad abhi or improve hogi ye..mg n na jane kitne hi crore rupye khrch krke we bhadda or mhnga model bnaya h or isne bs ek crore m itna pyara or use adhe se jyada sasta model bna diya to socho funding milne k baad ye bnda kya nahi kr skta

Today a petrol scooter is between 70k to 1lac. Electric scooter is 1.25 lac to 2 lac ... electric 4 - 5 seater car is starting from 10 lac... it is resolving so many issues parking, petrol cost, other issue. with in the city this car should be a hit those who just drive within city small cities etc
I completely agree with this concept of 2nd car. I stay in Vasant Kunj dda flats. I have an suv and I have struggle when I come home and also stress that tomorrow morning I have to go early to drop my son. N sometime people don’t civic sense in place. So I am looking for such small car for daily errands. This is cool better than MG comet.
A Royal Enfield costs approximately 3 lakhs and heavy on maintance plus no protection during summer or monsoon. I am sure once this car is manufactured on a large scale the cost will come down. I think the target audience should be the ones looking to purchase premium bikes for everyday city use. This car will serve their purpose.
Why comparing bike with a car ? - if someone looking to buy a RE or some other bike cuz they are into bike, if they need protection from monsoon and so and if u compare something like this then Auto will be better option
It is the past of tata nano . People in India buy car for showing their reputation in the society. No one will buy this car just because they buy bikes.
Guys ... buying or not buying this car is the customers choice. I am not comparing RE with this car. My POV is that the premium bikers should be their target audience. If someone has 3 lakhs to spend for a comfortable ride and given a test ride of this car there are chances they may have second thoughts on buying a bike.

If you'll even observe west, it is very obvious that most of the successful startups are those who think apart from profits and focused on what impact their product will create on the society or in people's life. It will not be beneficial in short term but I can guarantee it will give you more than 100% returns in next 5-10 yrs. BTW, MG india already launched similar EV..

Perfect for short urban commutes. This would be a hit in a place like Europe where people choose modes of transport because of practicality (Bicycles in Netherlands, compact cars in France etc). But in India, cars are associated with status and prestige. I still see people mocking Nano's on the road.. sad stuff
We need more such talent Indian lads who are aspiring to become big and coming up with some great ideas like this car. Definitely on the business front i completely support the sharks. But on the other hand we should encourage such entrepreneurs with support, Elon Musk once struggled the same way when he started with telsa idea. I wish we could do some public funding for this.

What Kalpit did is 100% right. These luck by chance shark’s doesn’t know to value innovation and commitments. The product is great for narrow city roads use or (May be auto rickshaw replacement) and at this price point way better bet than MG Comet which is selling at more than 8 hundre thousand. Hope Kalpit gets the right people to invest in his hard work by valuing his dedication & ambitions in a fair way.

This car specifically designed for city use only .... So safety is not an big issue.....

Car is a symbol of success and achievement in India. Why would the mass public buy this thing it because generally bigger the vehicle the more costly it is and that is what people who bought cars would like to show off so if they bought an suv worth 40 lacs, they wouldn't mind spending 50k-100k per month as a running cost so they won't buy this at all!!! Only if this vehicle could be stylish and luxurious for the same price of 4 lac-5lacs i think then some people would buy it! Otherwise it has no use
