A FEBRUARY MARBLE HUNT /MUDLARK LEADS TO SOME AMAZING FINDS!
WHAT A DAY IT WAS FOR CATHY! THE AIR WAS WARM, BUT THE WATER WASN'T. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT THOUGH! A BREAK FROM WINTER BLAHS. THIS IS A REALLY FUN OUTING! SOME GREAT METAL FINDS AS WELL, AND ALL WITHOUT A METAL DETECTOR! SEE WHAT TURNED UP AFTER MONTHS OF STORMS AND HIGH WATER. (AND SEE DREW'S REACTION, WHEN CATHY GOES HOME AND SHOWS HER FINDS!)
Now that I watched the whole thing, WOW! That was a fantastic day for sure! But, BBBRRRRRRR! You are a tough, brave woman!

Fun 🎉 marbles always make it an amazing hunt!
Marble Season came early Lol I waited about nine months for that river to come down! But months of storms restocked the rivers, so it was worth the wait. BTW, we went out again on Thursday : Many more marbles!! I may have to make it into two vids!! We shall see. 😃😎👍

Yes, the other finds will eventually fade from my memory of the day... But that crucifix will be a lasting and prescious memory! We went back a few days later.. we had to break ice out there! 🥶

What an adventure! The crucifix (priceless), the crystal stopper, the dime, the marbles, etc. were amazing finds! I did not want this to end; however, I did enjoy the scenery at the end and those cardinals were like the decoration on a cake! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Cynthia! I don't think I will ever top that crucifix! I was thrilled with it even before I knew it was 14k... Being a person of faith. I was thanking God for the marbles, and for a rare 50° day in Feb! 🌞 Drew went with me yesterday.. it was 38° 🥶

Hi Amanda, What a day it was! 😃 (As you know, I could not wait for the video to share that ✝️) So guess what.. we both went back (downstream) on Thursday.. it was MUCH colder.. We had to smash ice to get through the river!! I thought I would never warm up after! 🥶
But I think we set a new record for marbles! ( If not, it had to be close) plus other finds. More vids on the way! Nothing tops that ✝️ though. 😍 It is sooo special to me. I wished Drew had been there, but you still got to see him react later. Hi Susan! 👋😃 Yes, that ✝️ is the best!! I'm sure I probably walked right over it, who knows how many times, before I found it! I hunt the same places over and over. There is always something new to find. I know I shouldn't go out alone.. God was truly with me🙂. Drew and I went back a few days later, and it was sooo cold... We had to break ice out there!! I could NOT get warm again for hours after. I think we will wait for warmer weather next time. But another video is in the works! 😁💖

Hello Cathy and Drew. What a awesome video! Lew and I enjoyed watching this very much. So many nice marble finds and the 1893 dime was a awesome coin to find. (They made them from 1892 to 1915) Man, finding that gold cross made that whole day and mud larking trip worth it! I would say the same on the value of that cross would be at least three hundred dollars worth of gold. That heart pendant was another nice find and just around Valentine's day to. I think you were blessed by both of these finds for sure and they were meant for you to find. The toy vehicle that was damaged would make a nice junk yard art scene in a small planetarium. Right? LOL! With maybe some older vehicles near it. LOL! 🙂I think maybe some half ass person must of used that half of butt plug,,right?! LOL! Lew and I are doing good and hope you both are doing good as well. We wish good health and luck to both of you. Hope you can go to the Londonderry New Hampshire flea market this spring. What a day that was! I was only out a few hours. Amazing to be out there, thanking God for marbles, and the ability to be out there in February, and then the ✝️! It is priceless to me.. I could not put a $ amount on my Lord. It is treasure of another kind for me. I just wish Drew had actually been there to see me find it.
Funny, I had the same idea (sort of) for my trashed toy cars: junk yard diarama. Wish I had more time for art projects.

Holy smokes Kathy!!! You found *all* the things! Cheering for/with you up the way here ; ) We caught a break in the weather too- several days ago now. TRUE FACT: I actually found 3 marbles- a pretty green swirl like your more emeraldy one, a pale green and tan on cream and a solid blue like your solid tomato soup. I kept muttering no way as you kept finding familiar 'faces'. But then also-- on a very cold day (hunter's hand warmers are the *thing*) I found exactly 2 things. @ coins. One a 'stinkin Lincoln' and a... SEATED LIBERTY 1889!!! So yeah- I was laughing by that time. Amazing too the adrenaline rush-- how chipper you were after finding Jesus- I had to smile- and swear a little too. Such an a-ma-zing find! Congrats, happy snow days-- and cheers from the Isle!
Hi There! Thanks for sharing in my excitement! I waited sooo long for that river to go down, but the months of storms sure helped to reveal some wonderful things! I have been over and over that same area in the past... Who knows how many times I may have stepped on Jesus before I found Him 😯.
Sounds like you had some great finds too! I have only found two seated liberty dimes in my lifetime.. one while detecting and the other while larking the river bank (different river than this outing). Adrenaline rush, yes! Always get more energy suddenly when the finds get good.. Even if exhausted minutes earlier!
We went back a few days ago.. it was much colder, and I had to smash the ice to recover some finds! (Future video!)

I needed that! Actually, despite colder temps, a few days later, we went back to the river. We had to smash through some ice out there!! 🧊🥶 But it was worth it, as you will see in upcoming videos!

We have a whole playlist of us at a bottle dump on our channel. It is hard to find places that still exist (not developed).
And some are now on conservation land (those places are off limits!) There were more dumps around Mass in the 1970's, before the big development boom.
And our beach dig videos are actually at a 1930s bottle dump site. Too bad it's not a little older. - Cathy 💖

Yes, I do have a collection of marbles: both "river marbles" and some nicer (purchased) marbles. I did a video of my general collection a couple of years ago (I will give you the link in a separate reply). Also a vid of some of my Akro collection.. (I did not even get to the Akro Popeyes!)
