Even though it's only for a fleeting moment or two, I love seeing your E55 AMG wagon in your videos. It may not be new or the fastest, but it's the one I love the most.
You must be from the UK I used to drive to the max in the UK 40 odd years ago, I ended up with 27 endorsements 🤣 I see all these youngsters now driving like crazy on public roads, making vids and putting it on YT and they make a great living doing it. Its not fair!!! 🤣

Very nice car, not too extreme. There are faster cars sure but I suspect this one would be a pleasure to actually use and tour Germany with over the summer for instance.

I can't figure out the 0-100kmh times you are showing at the beginning of the video. Stock m40i does the sprint to 100kmh in ca. 4.2sec. With stage 1 it will be around 4.0sec. Are you quoting some BMW non LC times? But then the figure given in brackets (for the tuned ver) makes no sense at all.
@@zlover7777 My point exactly. Those are not factory numbers, nor they can't be "real life" figures as this model easily do low 4 secs to 100kmh. As basically any other bmw with b58 engine, as all of them come out of factory with a substantial HP bonus.
Bought my Z4 M40i while living in Germany. Had a SLK55 AMG the 7 years prior while living there. I had one glorious year of driving it over there before having to move back to the US. Having this car here is such a waste. I do not understand why anyone in the US would buy anything other than a cheap eco car. I have all this performance and can never use it. My car now spends its life occasionally going 70mph tops. Most of the time I am 'white knuckling it' hoping I do not get hit....again, or being forced to run over the trash on the road....like that 2x4 I could not avoid. I look around and see all of these 4-5-600 hp cars and all they do is rev or stomp on the gas for a quick 10 seconds from a red light to show how cool they sound. Damn do I miss driving in Germany, where you can actually drive your high performance car.......daily.
To me this car is more of a GT car like the F Type instead of a proper out and out sports car like Boxster or Cayman with light and sharp front end which you can easily position on tight twisty roads.
@@erick2good that ain't true, they don't share a platform. the 4 series is built on the CLAR platform used in most BMW models from the 2 series and X3 onwards, while the Z4 is built on the sports car platform developed together with Toyota. They've got little to do with one another. And even if they did share a platform, you're comparing a roadster to a midsize coupe/sedan, two completely different cars. Few people cross shop these 2 categories because they've got completely different characteristics in terms of space and weight. Also, the M4 uses the S58 engine, not B58. And if you were trying to say that the Z4 M40i is a budget M440i, that doesn't make any sense as they both cost about the same.
Mhh is it just me, or do i need another coffee? .. I can barely see/hear a difference in speed or sound to the stock car besides the fact that they lifted VMax ?? .. Probably it´s hard to ban this differences on video.
Large parts of the German autobahn do not have a speed limit, but please comply with the law outside the autobahn as well. You are not alone in the street. Thank you.

B58 is one of the best BMW engines ever made. The potential of tuning that thing is just incredible!!
