Saw Bootsy's Rubber Band at Cobo Hall in August of 1977, in Detroit, Michigan. They were on tour for the "Ahh...The Name Is Bootsy, Baby!" album-I was so impressed-they did all of those intricate parts that I kind of was not expecting them to do-but they did them-everything sounded just like the original parts on that album! And what they're doing in the above video is not indicative of what I saw them do, all those years ago, in Detroit. I think that first national tour in 1977, was for them, something they had to "prove" themselves to, wherever they played, like Prince when he came out on his first national tour in either late 1979 or early 1980-and they definitely did, when they came to Detroit! They(Bootsy's Rubber Band) also were in my opinion, one of the all-time greatest live and recording studio acts of the 1970's or any other decade! 9-24-24.

Black people then were so talented and creative. Today black people have gotten lazy and lack hunger and desire to be creative in music and other artistic endeavors.
Go somewhere with that garbage. We're just as creative and innovative as we've always been...even with the music programs being cut out of our public schools, even with other people imitating us and doing the kinda of music we were 30-40 years ago and getting credit for being "innovators" (i.e., Mark Ronson, the entire Daptone thing, etc.), and so forth.
Bootsy was/is one of the wildest, most talented performers in music history.

@@Odawg96 ....If you think the things you named are anywhere near as good as the music and musicians of the past, more power to you.
@@areguapiri Obviously you didn't understand what i wrote. The comment about Ronson and Daptone wasn't meant to be a compliment.
