I have heard about this one before. It is so horrific that women or men in the sex trade get preyed upon as though they don't matter. The truth is, they do. There are someone's child, parent, sibling or friend. It is just how they work makes them vulnerable. Thanks Emma another deep dive.
Agree, but i think they are more than all those things, they are valuable in and of themselves, not their relationships with other people alone. they are inately valuable in and of themselves.
Thank you for covering Hansen. As someone from Southcentral Alaska, this is a significant case in our history, as you might expect. Not only that, my grandfather worked at Spring Creek Correctional Facility for years, and he dealt with Hansen personally. Love your videos, keep up the amazing work.

Thank you for all you do, Emma. I recently discovered your channel and have been binge-watching your older episodes ever since... I would love to hear your take on the Paul Bernardo/Karla Homolka case. While it's been now over 30 years since they brutally assaulted, tortured, and murdered Leslie Mahaffy, Kristen French and Karla's own sister Tammy, it's a case that still haunts Canada (and probably always will). Between the horrific hidden 'torture' tapes, Homolka's plea agreement dubbed "the deal with the devil", and Bernardo repeatedly coming up for (and justifiably being denied) parole, we're all still reeling from this case. I would love to see you bring your unique take on it, and bring it to a wider audience who may never have heard about it (especially with the publication ban that was in place during the trials). Cheers and thanks!
Emma, my testament to the quality of your work is this: I've looked at everything I could find about Robert Hansen, multiple times in fact, yet when I saw that you'd covered it, I had to watch. Well done, and thanks.
It's really horrific that some of the cases Emma covers would sound too far fetched if someone suggested them for a movie....yet here we are being given a reality check that people like this actually exist.

In South Africa we ALL have bars on our windows.. and security systems.. and razor wire... and electric fences... and dogs... and fire arms... Crime is a serious issue here...
I know this isn't exactly relevant to today's video but I just watched a Daybell/Vallow update on a fav law channel of mine. I'm sure most of us Emma fans follow at least the highlights of that bizarre case. I hope that Emma will consider a full coverage show on them when the trials are finally over.
I'm very well versed in that case, but I have yet to look into the new updates. I'll make sure to do so asap. Out of interest, do you believe this was all legitimately done in the name of their cult's beliefs? Or do you think that is all just an excuse and it was actually done just for money? Personally I do think they believed that stuff. There is a lot of evidence suggesting that they did. Have you seen the coded emails and coded voicemails? Also have you read the horrendous documents regarding Lori's despicable abuse of tylee in the name of destroying Joe Ryan? The best coverage of all that is hands down by noor jasmine who has an amazing playlist thats essential viewing. Love from England ♥
Thanks to the truck driver 🙌👏.....honestly, if I saw a woman running, my first thought would be a person on drugs, and I would be too scared to stop. I know that's terrible, but with crime on the rise, I would just be too scared. I'd call 911 within a split second, but to actually stop and let a stranger in my car, would frighten the bejesus out of me. 🥺🥺🥺😬😬😬
Emma just wanted to stop by and say thank you. My hoody is so comfortable I love it. My wonderful husband bought it for me and it turned up on Thursday but he said we need one that says and me and me haha. Will catch up with this one later have to run for now just wanted to let you know it arrived safe.
When I was a young teenager and lived on the streets I had guns and knives pulled on me for sex I know how your mind races from bad solution to worse solution. I had to jump from a moving car - ouch, and pretended to comply until I got him to put the gun down and then I attacked him. I’m very strong with adrenaline. How I survived my childhood is a miracle.😊
I know first hand how important it is to recover a body. My cousin Tiffany Booth was murdered Sept 2020 and it took weeks to find her body in the NV desert. We were so grateful to be able to lay her to rest. Especially since her murderer Eduardo Clemente is still on the run.
It seems doubly horrible that sex workers, drug addicts, the homeless, and the mentally ll are both exponentially more likely to be victimized, as well as being the least likely to be believed when reporting crimes. Disgusting on so many levels. Thanks for another in depth analysis of a monster masquerading as human.
I’d add illegal immigrants who for many are considered expendable, just thinking about those people who try entering other countries travelling on dingy boats and often get chucked off board if they get into dire situations as nobody is going to question their whereabouts and if they do nobody is interested in looking for them
Most of the hookers, drug addicts, homeless and mentally ill people these cops interact with on a day to day basis when there isn't a serial killer prowling around will just chat total bollocks, taking these people seriously 100% of the time would be such a waste of resources that America just does not have
Emma, had heard other documentaries re: Robert Hansen. I learned so much more about him through you! Thank you as always for your thorough coverage. BTW, when are your going to tour the states?
Ooo I'm looking forward to this one, I don't always recognise names but this doesn't seem familiar at all right now. It may turn out I've heard of the case as we get in to the video but I'm excited to learn something new hopefully! 😁 Thank you for another fabulous video Emma 💜
Hi if you get chance Emma iv just heard a horrific crime Baby Brianne 5 months 5 days when she died 😢. And Baby Stirling .. why is the world so messed up especially against children Emma xx
Baby Brianna haunts me. What an awful life that poor baby lived. She is the same age as my daughter and if I ever laid eyes in the ‘mother’ I would bash her face in.
The amount t of research u do is amazing ..considering ..that u have a life ..children..husband and are soo busy ...Thanks u ..Always love your perspectives ..😊
Hey Emma, maybe you could have a look into the actual history of the person Pocahontas (Matoaka). Loads of sick crime involved in that story. She's burried in Kent after being kidnapped, raped and possibly poisoned and thinking she was gonna be going back to her homeland as far as I know....maybe a good story do cover on the channel (eventhough its not modern True crime). Anyways...love your work! ♡
The Queen of true crime nails it once again! The excellent presentation, detailed research, respect for the victims and their families and Emma's personality with a side humour and sarcasm all make her and her channel so unique. Bravo Emma! Definitely on my bucket list to visit one of your live shows! ☺ ❤ Keep up the amazing work! Definitely my favourite true crime channel 😀
So many of us in the US think you are the best at what you do!! Do you think you will ever plan a tour here? “Just putting it out there,” Oklahoma or Texas??
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant 👏 love how u break it up with the humour Emma, u did make me chuckle quite a bit in this one i must say 😂🤓love your knowledge, passion and professionalism throughout all of your true stories, of course!!. A big thank u for that 🤗
🤔🤣🤣, I was just thinking candlestick maker when Emma threw it out there, great minds think alike, I hope, rather than simple minds seldom differ. Great stuff, God bless all 🙏
There’s moose and rabbits all over Alaska. No wild boars. 😊 Most people living in Alaska do have an American accent, however, Native Alaskans have a unique American accent. Great job on this one Emma! ❤ I enjoy your sarcastic imaginary dialogues in accents. 😂
John Douglas discussed profiling a killer that turned out to be David Carpenter aka The Trailside Killer in his book "Mindhunter" and saying the man had a speech impediment. He explained that the need to approach the victim alone and rely on a blitz style attack to get control showed he had something he was deeply ashamed of and felt rejected by women. Since there were no reports of someone in the area with an obvious disfigurement, a speech problem wouldn't be obvious though it would affect a person socially and they would feel ashamed about. He has a later chapter about Robert Hansen.
Totally agree with you Emma concerning hunting (murdering animals) wildlife!! They absolutely DO suffer before they succumb to their wounds. Not sport! Not cool! I never understood why people hunt..( murder) for sport!😡
i love it so much more when you do better known cases of serial killers like this or dennis rader... robert hansen is my personal nightmare, being hunted and knowing you won't come out alive yet still trying and expecting the kill shot from the dark any time, that is HORROR!!!
Yet ANOTHER case where if the police took his criminal behavior seriously, so many others COULD HAVE been saved. There is absolutely no excuse for this ineptitude. Period.
Good job Emma you do such a good job with your story’s you have such a beautiful way of telling people what really happened and keeping the family in mind so they are not hurting anymore thank you so much for your kindness ❤😊
Some of the old old homes in Ventura CA have bars on the windows. They pop off if you press a button on the inside. I’ve never felt so comfy sleeping with the windows wide open!
My stepdad was born and raised in Esterville and actually knew this guy! He said he could be really nice but something about him was really off. he didn't elaborate further.
FROZEN GROUND is. A Movie about Robert Hansen. John Cusack plays Hansen, Nicholas Cage plays the DETECTIVE WHO BROUGHT HIM DOWN! It is a good movie & I’ve rewatched it many times. the end credits included the list of victims murdered by Hansen. Prostitutes & erotic dancers are often transients who wouldn’t be missed. I don’t understand how prostitutes can perform oral sex or have sex with strangers who may be smelly, sweaty, unwashed & violent. Just the thought of oral sex with a smelly, sweaty man makes me sick. I may be a prude but I can live with that.
Thank you for covering Hansen Em, I hadn’t heard of this case so was very interesting the insights you told on his crimes & his past. He is truly terrifying and in my opinion up there was the truly evil and frightening serial killers. Your smashing the content Em thank you again ❤
Hi Emma!! This is my area of knowledge and I can’t help myself so here I go on a pheasant based rant. Pheasants are not native to the UK, they have not evolved here, and evolution doesn’t usually occur on a level fast enough to have allowed any species to effectively adapt to anthropogenic influences like infrastructure. Pheasants are bred in the UK for the shooting season, they are reared in captivity and released whilst young with no survival skills and therefore often succumb to predation and the environment as they have not learned to forage for food or evade dangers. Love the videos as always !
I had a friend call me the other night. She was so upset because she didn't think anyone would care if she went missing. Of course the first thing I said was "I would" but then the reality cames through. I don't talk to her everyday. We talk maybe twice a month. So now I at least text her everyday. I never want anyone to feel that lonely.
Another stinking narration from The Queen of TRUE CRIME. Thank you Emma we appreciate your devotion to us DONT WE FELLOW TC LOVERS???? Emma? When O when, please O please…. Denise Amber Lee? I wait with calm baited breath to hear your take on this. I’ve only listened to KIMBRYLEYA (American ) on it. And she was great. I was spellbound by her, however, all the while, I just kept thinking how you should cover this. Emma, I think you’ve seen me request this many times…. Here’s another plea . Love the merch…. I’m waiting for one that reads…. IS IT JUST ME🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼❤️
Thanks Emma, for another unbelievable case! What a horrific way to die. The fear those women felt....I cannot imagine. I used to have similar nightmares when I was younger, of someone chasing me to do me harm, and I would wake up in panic. Emma,I think you would find the case of CARI LEA FARVER very interesting. It is definitely one of a kind. Thanks so much!!
‼Side Note ‼ The movie "FROZEN GROUND" with Vanessa Hudges & Nicholas Cage , is REALLY GOOD . its based on Robert Hansen .. i cried on some parts, hollerd , and laughed lol basically yelling at the T.V
I was kidnapped by 2 guys in NY hitching..a steakknife on my neck. I put car in reverse..got out..went straight to see license plate number Ran to a farm..called police..
I know you probably get this quite a lot, but you are my new favourite true crime podcaster - love the content and the presentation- it would be tremendously appreciated if one day you might cover the stories of baby brianna lopez, sylvia likens and dozier school for boys. Much love and admiration from the usa 😊
Hey Emma, I’m so obsessed with your content I watch them religiously. You’re such a good story teller. Would it be possible to look into the Menendez brothers? I feel like there’s a lot we don’t know and your opinion on the case? Sending love xxx
"Oooo, no, no...I can't pair the wonderful baker who makes my morning donuts and coffee and a rapist - killer. Nope I refuse to believe, especially as a donut munching member of law enforcement. " What a crock!
I believe that in cases where a murder won’t tell where his/her victims are then torture is justified in getting their burial site. Water boardinghouse is the first that comes into mind. Whatever it takes.
Emma, you're not at all wrong, pheasants are suicidal. I live in the country and I literally cannot count the number of times I've seen a pheasant standing at the side of the road only to shuffle out in front of a car as it comes towards them. I've even had to drive around groups of them just chilling in the road. They can fly. Why don't they fly from one side to the other?
Most older homes homes here have bars + wire mesh on the windows, and barred + wire mesh doors for the front and the back. It's bc the temperatures summer-fall stays between 25 C at night to 40 C during the day. There wasn't always AC,, but also there used to be a high crime rate.
😂😂😂I live in South Africa and everyone has bars on our windows here. It's not safe otherwise. We also NEVER sleep with our doors unlocked. So it is fascinating to hear about people sleeping with their doors unlocked in other countries. Thanks for your coverage Emma.
Honestly, I think the police only offered the deal, claiming there would not be a public trial of him for the woman who survived, was just the police not wanting a public trial happening for that. The shame was just as much theirs as it would be his. If that went to trial it would become crystal clear that they literally let the killer go to kill others, while shaming/blaming the real hero of the case, the survivor. It's a shame she never got justice personally, though he did go to prison for his other crimes.
In South Africa, every house has barred windows hahaha! But yes, in a country where it's for the most part, safe... this is definitely odd & certainly to be investigated lol!
Thanks Emma, for another interesting episode 👍 I keep waiting for your thoughts, insights and break down of the Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka case!! I have been asking/recommending for more than a year, so I hope when you open the episodes with "you asked, so you shall receive":is an accurate statement - very soon!!😉 I'll keep my 🤞 and learning in the meantime.
I’m beyond excited I’m coming to see you and get a copy of your book in Liverpool 5th September 🎉thank you to my beautiful daughter niaya xx I’m obsessed with your videos and so thankful I get to watch, learn new facts and enjoy your bizarre humour which tickles me xxx I love true crime and could never watch children true crime until I watched your videos you are amazing how you articulate their story with respect and honesty xx THANK YOU ❤
The profile was scary accurate this time huh 🤯🤯 I think it’s amazing what they can do!! I would absolutely love to be apart of that. Hell, I’ll even be an unpaid intern who does coffee runs- just teach me your secrets lol. In all seriousness though I do think it’s amazing how accurate they can get a profile sometimes
Explosive necklaces...🤔...Emma is my kind of judge!😃 Or- there could be a new type of technology where a red flashing light atop his head is triggered to warn the person he's thinking of harming before he gets too close.
Who wouldn't know Pedro's Lopez's case though, cause it's pretty overrated tbh and most would've heard about him. Now people like Amelia Dyer who killed like 400 babies, now that should have much more coverage

IS IT JUST ME🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼❤️
That was supposed to say STONKING 🤣 not stinking. 😳 sorry Em. 🙏🏼
🤣💙😂💙🤣
I was kidnapped by 2 guys in NY
hitching..a steakknife on my neck.
I put car in reverse..got out..went straight to see license plate number
Ran to a farm..called police..
I know you probably get this quite a lot, but you are my new favourite true crime podcaster - love the content and the presentation- it would be tremendously appreciated if one day you might cover the stories of baby brianna lopez, sylvia likens and dozier school for boys. Much love and admiration from the usa 😊
Emma your crime program is the best you are awesome
When are you coming to Australia Emma…?.love your stuff… !,,,,you are the best ! Presenter of true crime ..
Love from Adelaide …South Australia….xx
Thank you for highlighting that sex work is legitimate if it's by your own choice. It's a job like every other job out there.
I love Emma Kenny! Great as usual❤
Love your videos Emma!
Hey Emma, I’m so obsessed with your content I watch them religiously. You’re such a good story teller.
Would it be possible to look into the Menendez brothers? I feel like there’s a lot we don’t know and your opinion on the case?
Sending love xxx
Another fascinating narrative Emma thank you. Can't help but laugh when you say " I digress" . Brilliant 👍
My mother once told me it you should never be ashamed of what you do for a living as long as no one is getting hurt (ie Bank robber)
"Oooo, no, no...I can't pair the wonderful baker who makes my morning donuts and coffee and a rapist - killer. Nope I refuse to believe, especially as a donut munching member of law enforcement. "
What a crock!
I believe that in cases where a murder won’t tell where his/her victims are then torture is justified in getting their burial site. Water boardinghouse is the first that comes into mind. Whatever it takes.
Thanks!
Seen the film about this guy (frozen ground) John Cuzack played him and Nicolas Cage played the detective who caught him
It’s a great movie
I've just mentioned that film too, it's really good
Very interesting story, thanks Emma✌️♥️
I can't wait!
Hi Emma I'm on the Bus Watching this
Emma, it was FBI agent John Douglas who put together the profile of Robert Hansen. I have read his book ‘Mindhunter’ it is an amazing read.
Thank you Emma xx
My house was built in the 60s and all the side and rear windows have really pretty decorative bars on the window. It’s for security
There's a film called Frozen Ground made in 2013 about Robert Hansen
Most older homes homes here have bars + wire mesh on the windows, and barred + wire mesh doors for the front and the back. It's bc the temperatures summer-fall stays between 25 C at night to 40 C during the day. There wasn't always AC,, but also there used to be a high crime rate.
John Douglas created the profile. If you haven't read his book yet, you should. He's creepily accurate on all his cases
😂😂😂I live in South Africa and everyone has bars on our windows here. It's not safe otherwise.
We also NEVER sleep with our doors unlocked. So it is fascinating to hear about people sleeping with their doors unlocked in other countries.
Thanks for your coverage Emma.
Used to be normality in the UK but not anymore…
Honestly, I think the police only offered the deal, claiming there would not be a public trial of him for the woman who survived, was just the police not wanting a public trial happening for that. The shame was just as much theirs as it would be his. If that went to trial it would become crystal clear that they literally let the killer go to kill others, while shaming/blaming the real hero of the case, the survivor. It's a shame she never got justice personally, though he did go to prison for his other crimes.
Congratulations Emma on your tour and show your doing. I'd love to see you if I lived there or holiday
I’m beyond excited I’m coming to see you and get a copy of your book in Liverpool 5th September 🎉thank you to my beautiful daughter niaya xx
I’m obsessed with your videos and so thankful I get to watch, learn new facts and enjoy your bizarre humour which tickles me xxx I love true crime and could never watch children true crime until I watched your videos you are amazing how you articulate their story with respect and honesty xx THANK YOU ❤
I wish I could see you in person!!! You are amazing at telling peoples stories.. ily 💕
The profile was scary accurate this time huh 🤯🤯
I think it’s amazing what they can do!!
I'm pretty sure it was John Douglas who profiled him, he is one of the main reasons of my obsession/interest in true crime.
Have you heard of the Pedro López cases, Emma? You, along with everyone else will be absolutely outraged.
Who wouldn't know Pedro's Lopez's case though, cause it's pretty overrated tbh and most would've heard about him. Now people like Amelia Dyer who killed like 400 babies, now that should have much more coverage
