Yay, I'm so happy you decided to do this one on camera! It's a bit lackluster, but hey, any excuse to hang out with the Weasleys! 6:24 - My guess is that we'll never directly meet Harry and Hermione at this point. They probably just did Ron because he's the youngest Weasley brother, so it'd be weird if we didn't get to meet him. 17:13 - Yes, it was the one called "A Very Weasley Christmas," and we got a snow globe with a model of the car inside. 18:35 - That's "forget to write *home*." As in, write letters to your mama and papa because they miss you and witches and wizards don't do telephones! 22:11 - We're bringing that car back, right? Right?! Personally, I never spend any real money on the game, and I play a bit more casually than I used to. I still enjoy the main story and occasionally a TLSQ, but it's definitely not nearly as good as it was when Years 1-5 were being released.
I have this funny story in my Headcanon about when the Flying Car is seen by the Muggles in Chamber of Secret. The Ministry is worrying over the news about that Harry and Ron risked exposure to the windows. But Ethan manages to tell people to get a grip on themselves and that they can get this under control. Ministry Official: "Well what do we tell the Muggles this was?" Ethan: "Um... just say Government Experiment gone wrong or U.F.O sighting. Isn't that the usual B.S muggles believe?" Ministry Official: "It's not that simple." Much Later. Muggle News: "And what was believed to have been a Government Experiment gone wrong involving a flying car over London that was seen by seven people. The Government has issued an apology and assures people that everything is now under control." Now with that being said. With the Muggle World entering the 2000s and the new age of the Internet and Social Media and measures of Security. It is only a matter of time before the International Statue of Secrecy collapses. What do I mean by this? Let's just say that a Witch of Wizard is caught by a Muggle doing magic. And then that Muggle just happens to take a Video of it or a picture and put it on the Internet. Say a sight like Facebook or Twitter. And then that information is shared to everyone around the world. And once someone in America sees it. So too will someone in France, or Africa, or England, or even China, or India. It's going to be one massive Domino Effect. That gets reblogged and reposted and shared around the world. And soon everyone knows about it.
15:16 looking it up on google 1 galleon is 5 British pound which is roughly $7. Mundungus original price was 30 galleons which would have been about $210 but he changed it to 5 galleons which is $35. In today money Mundungus might have try to over charge MC by a little bit, but since the game is in the 90s it might be reasonable for MC to be suspicious do to the inflation rate at the time.
This had a good, straightforward and wholesome premise for a quest but I felt it ended pretty abruptly. I also felt in total agreement with your commentary about the game being less worthwhile. Honestly question the point of adding so much content if it's just going to be walled behind monetization and bogging the player down. Energy points, waiting periods for some tasks and having to stay up so late at night just to stay caught up on a TLSQ were huge reasons why I got rid of the app and haven't played HM for a few years. Now I'd pick an RPG like HL over HM any day. HM had a good premise but it works out better on a console or PC in the end. HM still though has value as a good source of story for OC headcanons based on it, and it played a key part in me joining the fandom starting with Cato, my HM MC. Your commentary on the HM story content makes it more enjoyable and highlights the better moments of it. That said I love your coverage of the game though I really care more about you finding things that make you happy doing so, Akemi. I always consider you a friend in any case.
18:31: If Ron got bullied, Harry would kill. He’d get away with it because there’d be no evidence: because Hermione helped hide the body. Also, if you ever end playing this game, no-one will find the body. Ever. And, no, everyone, you did *not* just read that.
Akemi please play any if your choosing in this list; the paper Mario series, mass effect series, dragon age origin series Baldur gate 3 or persona 4 golden and persons 5 royal 5 royal? pretty please with Barnaby life size chocolate cake on top?!!! 😂 I love your videos❤ please think about it! 🙏
The Weasleys definitely give me that family where they can pick on each other but if anyone else tries it they're toast. Also you joke about what happens with the car but wouldn't put it past JC to make covering all that up another TLSQ.
Hey I just realized something. Once Harry and Ron get to school, we’re likely going to see the car in the forbidden forest and not at the Weasley‘s anymore
