She literally said she was raised in El Salvador, which in case you were unaware of is one of the poorest countries in Latin America. Not to mention that the availability of Harry Potter books is a lot more rare in developing countries

I'm not sure about the other developing countries. but in my country, the Philippines. you can literally see Harry Potter in some local indie book stores. ESPECIALLY in our local "National Book Store" if you see this store in a Filipino mall. you'll eventually know it has Harry Potter books sitting on the book shelf or display of this store. since Harry Potter is still the most selling children's fictional book in the country.
As a Harry Potter fan, the speed these people expected the others to respond was so immediate, I would have never been able to answer questions that quickly, so they would have kicked me out.
The fact that Brian wasn't the mole baffled me.

Bro this is so out of context but this video 3 years ago is what got me into reading fan fiction. I knew what it was but didn’t really notice it, and then this video popped up and the intrigue for Isolation got to me.
Weird comment, I know, but I’m leaving this here so I’ll be reminded of the first ever fanfic I read, and how that inspired me to become an author of my own.
Two of my favorite scenes of the movie is when Harry and Hermione have a dance by themselves in the camping tent that scene is just so magical to me. And also when Hermione walks down the stairs to enter the school hall dance, she looked beautiful and I love how he looks at her❤

He bought another fandoms merch...why would she assume that he couldn't afford it? she specifically mentions "he was wearing COMICS merch. The stuff is very similar in price. Plus he had a wand (more expensive than a shirt or sweater).
Can't defend forgetting Cho's name though, other than the fact that it was a high stress situation where you are being timed and have to think up a scene on the spot.
@@chocodesu The wand is a more expensive piece of HP merch and as a fan of multiple fandoms I would probably do the same kind of math. You buy the wand and then buy sweatshirts and t-shirts from other fandoms especially since I don't really like a lot of the Harry Potter clothes.

3:19 I am not a Potterhead by any means just a fan, however, I read the books and watched the movies plus dived into the fandom a bit and that being said, the Ravenclaw true mascot is an Eagle shocked me like wtf!! I consider myself a Ravenclaw and even did those what house are you tests, researched the house what they stood for and stuff, but never ever heard that before 0_0 Honestly I'm sad to learn that since I think Ravens are really damn cool (well all corvids are but ravens are my fave) and know quite a bit about them, I seriously thought it was always an raven though I only read the books once each the year they came out so maybe I don't remember that detail meanwhile it's clearly a raven in the movies. Kinda cool that having 2 mascots almost and having a raven as Patronus and/or owl replacement isn't as cliche now.

Cho got mentioned a lot in 5 of the 7 books, as well as 4? of the 8 movies (I am not sure about POA and HBP movie) she was a top 20 character in both 4 and 5 book/movie. In three Harry first got a crush on her when he played against her in quidditch, in four he asked her out for the yule ball, in five they got together, in six they ignored each other as she was the only one who didnt stare at Harry in the train. In seven she fought in the battle of hogwarts and volounteered to show Harry the Ravenclaw tower.
On the the other side all 6 wherent potterheads as they all failed in basic trivia. The person who wasn‘t a fan was the one knowing the most about the fandom. 😂
I'm also a huge fan, but I would immediately get voted out. I forget so many things in when I have to say stuff spontaneously and in such a hurry, I would just screw up. Also I'm broke, so I don't have any merch (I own the books tho - eBay is my friend here). Additionally I read WAAAAAY too many fanfics and get confused over what's canon and what's not. 😂😂😂

In general, I like Dumbledore. I think he is a very interesting character. He aspired greatness but in turn made mistakes. He may come out as a master manipulator but I think he just felt too responsible for what Tom became and his feelings towards Gellert and Ariana's death. He wasn't perfect but he wasn't that bad either.

I kinda wish there would “spectrum” episode of Potterheads with statements like: “I respect J.K. Rowling”. “I consider the Cursed Child canon.”, “Dumbledore was actually a bad guy”, “Harry Potter books are children’s books”, “The new movies from the HP world shouldn’t exist” and smth about capitalisation of HP with merch now in every basic stores etc.

I’m a potter head. I was only in about 1st grade when I was introduced to Harry Potter. I have watched all the movies multiple times each and only read the first book so far. I want to read more of the books, I just haven’t yet. But I’ve been a huge fan since I was in about 1st grade so 6 years later, I’m enjoying the fandom. 😅

A lot of people don't realise that a lot of fans only watch the dubbed version because they have a hard time reading subtitles due to dyslexia (at least that's what I read somewhere once)

i feel like this should've been a theme of whos an expert and not a fan, cause im most definetaly a fan, i have some merch, watched the movies several times, im not much of a reader though in general i only read about 3 books, but ive been to the harry potter world in universal studios, read fanfiction, literally made harry potter edits, but im not an expert i dont know quote by quote, which book has what happening in it, heck i only know the names of like 6 people in harry potter and thats it so im a fan just not an expert

Definitely agree! One of my favorite Harry Potter memories growing up was discussing the books with my neighbor, an elderly man who was basically like a grandfather to me. I started reading them when they came out in the US, so I was like 5 or 6. Nobody my age was reading them yet, and he was the only one I had to talk to about Harry Potter stuff.

People like Grecia would make me feel less than for not remembering the small details. After all, she had read them most recently.

i dont even own physical copies of the books myself but im a huge fan of the series and i watch the movies all the time
i can also listen to the audiobooks for days at a time wothout rest but you dont need merchandise amd breathe a franchise to be a fan you can read or watch the series once and consider yourself a fan

Like literally Voldemort is an angel , he was hot af in his teens years and cute af in his childhood. This reminds me of one of my favorite books which were the mistborn trilogy, I would talk about it but if you ask me about a specific detail, I wouldn't even know the answer because details are irrelevant when you're caught up 😂

grecia was so annoying when she said that people who didn’t have gear were suspicious. I think it was so annoying because the gear is SO expensive it’s crazy. like the robe and a wand together is over $100. a robe by itself is nearly $80 and a wand can range from $30-40. a normal shirt is like $33. people not wearing merch was such and invalid reason that someone wasn’t a true hp fan. keep in mind those are the prices without taxes/ possible shipping. and this is only the prices in America.

@@TheAlison941 he actually didn’t. The first time Uzair mentioned it being expensive was AFTER Grecia asked about it. Again, he was also wearing merch from another show and brought his own wand. She could have still found it suspicious (which is why she called it out in her personal interview as well).
