- In our latest India travel video we’ll be visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar and eating indian food in the world’s biggest kitchen! The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, happens to feed around 100,000 thousand visitors EVERY SINGLE DAY! And get this, the food is FREE! This community kitchen is known as a ‘langar’ and it’s a place where everyone is welcome to eat regardless of gender, caste or religion.

The kitchen in the Golden Temple never closes and it is run by countless volunteers who devote their time to cook, serve, and clean for visitors who pass through at every hour of the day. I had visited Amritsar’s Golden Temple once before on my very first trip to India over 10 years ago, but this time around, I was joined by Deepak from Amritsar Walking Tours.
Having him as a guide allowed me to experience the Golden Temple in a completely different way, and it was a day I won’t soon forget. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s kick off this video!
Visiting GOLDEN TEMPLE in Amritsar + Eating INDIAN FOOD in WORLD’S BIGGEST KITCHEN w/ 100000 People!
Having an opportunity to revisit the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, was one of the top highlights of my recent trip to India. If I had to compare my impressions visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra and the Golden Temple in Amritsar, I would say my visit to Harmandir Sahib moved me emotionally more than visiting one of the true marvels of India.
There is just an energy at the Golden Temple that is hard to describe. The fact that everyone is welcome regardless of race, class or caste is what allows you to feel your ego disappearing. You feel connected with everyone visiting - especially when you sit down for a meal together.

You will be found gurudwara in every country. And every gurudwara have free food services. 95% gurudwaras
That is amazing!
Please come to India 🇮🇳

Waheguru, with the blessings of wahe guruji i could visit the golden Temple twice, when I first entered the temple it was 6.30.pm , that too in the month of October and last week, for a moment I felt as if thats heaven, preview of heaven in that climate with all those lights, with some chantings in pure
Punjabi language, that was an unforgettable experience, thank u Samuelji for this video, by watching which I could refresh my memories ☺
Thank you so much! Loved hearing about your experience. I would love to revisit for a third time someday.
@@samuelandaudrey I too pray and wish, may waheguruji give you and family a chance to visit the temple and give you all a refreshment for rest of your life
Another thing I noticed in Amritsar is that, though langer works 24×7, 99% are hard working though aged, is it not?

Plz visit India because it is adorable, we indians are incredible in ourselves 😍☺️
Thanks Bharti! We've loved visiting India. Where do you recommend people go?
@@samuelandaudrey people should visit Delhi's monuments, like I am from Delhi so I would recommend to visit their especially humanyu tomb, which is a quiet place☺️and then market complex like sarojini nagar for females specially, kamala nagar, gandhi nagar and so on.
Y’all are styling & profiling!
Thanks Stan! It was quite the experience.
OMG!!!! Not many vloggers go to the Golden temple!!! Thank you for that. And did you survive the Langer?? I have av sensitive stomach so never make it through
Thank you Sooki! We just loved the experience. Fortunately, we digested our meal well. When did you visit?
@@samuelandaudrey oh.. I've been a few times but not since past 5 years. Tbh i got food poisoning from a McDonald's in India, burger King in Budapest and almost died in hongkong after me trip b from Thailand. So overall i have a shitty stomach.

¿Hay control de Bromatología del Estado allí?
No estoy seguro de ser honesto
This beautiful spirit of practising charity & volunteer probably isn’t going on because of Covid-19, and my heart sink with thinking about some less fortunate people cannot have their once-a-day free meal😢
Thanks Yuka, indeed that must be really tough right now. There are so many silent voices suffering right now. I sure hope this is over soon.

Of course they have a God and his name is Ram. Why do you think they celebrate Diwali????? Sad thing is that many Sikhs don't even know about their own culture.
