    I purchased a CZ orange ts and have had some issues too. First was a failure to feed after the first round. We changed the spring in the slide (reduced) now it won’t go into battery. I cleaned it of any grease in the rails and will try again. The manual mentioned possibly too much lube. I was told it’s going to take time and rounds to tune it right. Thank you for a great video.
    It out of the box didn’t have a reset, we think the previous owner didn’t fire it but played with the adjustments without knowing what he was doing.

    After 4000 rounds on stock Shadow 2, i ran into bunch of double feeds on competition. The gun was cleaned. It happened only with Sellier Bellot ammo 124 grain. It worked well with PPU. Next competition, I fired around 100 bullets of Sellier Bellot and everything went ok. Maybe it was dirty magazines, I don't know. Anyway, this was very informative video. Thank you very much.

    My Shadow2 is about 18 months old. It has NEVER made it through a single magazine without at least one FTE. Problem was confirmed by range personnel where I bought it. They insisted I run a thousand rounds through it before we do anything else. At about 1200 rounds we sent it back to CZ, and they cleaned it and changed out the spring, test fired it and sent it back to me. Believe it or not, it’s not any better at all. I guess I will go get some polishing compound and try that. Thanks for the video!

    Have a new CZ P--10 c I recently back. It wouldn't feed half the variety of ammunition and half the times the ammo wouldn't properly come out of the magazines and get stuck on the feed ramp or trying to take the ammunition out of the magazines? Also not a fan of the firing pin block on that pistol. I expect there's possible too much force on the ammunition do to defective magazines? Sent it to CZ on 12/11 and hopefully the issue will be resolved? Do like CZ's hammer fired pistol, but their striker fired ones, need to go back to the drawing board.

    Thank you! The close ups and showing damaged parts are helpful.
    Have you worked on a KMR yet? How long do those ring bushings last?
    If you haven't, how long does a bushing on the 6'' CZ target models last and how much play should it have?

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  6 місяців тому +1

      Great questions! I don't know the answers to them though :(. I can tell I've worked on CZs with over 50K -75K rounds in which there was no complain on accuracy or need to replace the bushing.

    Hey CZ armorer, thank you so much for the ton of info on the shadow 2!
    I started IPSC shooting 1year ago, first on the CZ P10C now on the Shadow2.
    But last match I had problems , in the middle of a magazine the gun goes to half cock!
    And thereby putting the gun back in double action!
    it started one time in the first stage, but by the sixth stage I shot 75% in double action.
    I can't replicated the problem it in dry-fire 😬.
    the gun has a 10pound recoil and hammer spring, competition firing pin ...
    do you have any idea what could cause this problem? or a fix?
    Thx, Grts from Belgium

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  8 місяців тому +2

      Thank you! There are a few different reasons for the issue you have described. I would start checking the engagement between your sear and the hammer hooks. If by any chance you backed out your post travel set screw too much at the point of having your sear and hammer touching even with the trigger pulled all the way, this would be enough to prematurely round the hammer hooks, and/or the edge of the sear and cause this.
      When you're checking this, also check your sear spring.
      It's difficult to replicate in dry-firing, but you can try pulling your slide all the way back and lose so it locks up quickly and with some impact (as it would with live fire). You hammer may or may not follow by doing that multiple times...

    I'm having this issue, brand new, maybe 500 rounds through it, failure to extract/eject, whatever term we want to use. The round just fired doesn't extract eject, and the next round in the magazine looks as though it came up and is partially blocking the one in the chamber. This happened several times and it's frustrating. I have many 9 mm and none of them have done this to me, that includes Walther, h&k so no not bottom end ones. Going to put some more rounds through it and give it to the non-Smith to send back as I have seen many people say they have ran thousands of rounds with no problems. Figures I would get one with Gremlins...

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  4 місяці тому +1

      What you're describing sounds like a "stovepipe"
      malfunction. Like I mentioned on the video, this can be caused by a few different things... If you already made your mind up to send it back, then you don't need to try anything else, but if you want to try to address yourself, I would start by checking if it's always happening with the same magazine.. if so, it's likely your magazine is letting the bullet out too soon, and then it gets in the way of the spent case ejection...
      If it's happening with all magazines, you can try playing with different recoil springs... If you're using the stock recoil spring, the last thing I would try is replacing the extractor spring by an extra-power one.
      Of course this is all assuming you've cleared the possibility of being ammo related....

    • @DarkLouie76

      @@czarmorer thank you! I checked all the mags it happened on all of them. Maybe it is just the ammo but I'm going to go Wednesday and run some different types through it to see if I could narrow it down. Also great video very informative much appreciated!! 👍

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  4 місяці тому +1

      @@DarkLouie76 Ok, so the mags are out of the picture. Like I mentioned, it's worth to play a bit with different recoil springs and another cheap option to try is to relplace your extractor spring by an extra-power one.

    Hi! I was wondering, does the recoil spring shock buffer pad do anything at all? is it effective?

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  7 місяців тому +1

      It does. It is effective in protecting the slide from hitting the frame directly. When the manufacturer designed the firearm they have to consider every scenario, so the ligher the recoil spring is in combination with the hotter the ammo is, the more stress it will put between slide and frame every time the gun cycles. Depending on your combination the buffer may or may not make a significant difference in the durability of your slide/frame.
      Is it critical for you gun to function? No... Your gun will work just fine without it.
      I keep them on my shadow2s and never had a problem - They will also last a long time. It's a different case with a TSO in 40SW for instance. the buffers won't last a couple matches!

    My brand new S2C has failed to feed multiple times right out of the box after cleaning and reoiling. Even after 300 rounds, it still kind of has a feeding issue. I've used these brands of ammo, Aguila 124gr, CCI balzer 124gr, winchester 115gr. When it runs, it runs amazing, but it has FTF 😢😢. The slide also feels really rough and griddy, like sand paper when you rack it back and forth. I may need to try these methods to see if i can solve this problem im having, or maybe it just needs to break in 🤷‍♂️.

    • @czarmorer

      Let us know - But your slide to frame fit might be contributing to the malfunctions. It's not supposed to feel like you described.

    • @PrecisionKing85
      @PrecisionKing85 4 місяці тому +1

      @czarmorer I looked inside the frame, and it looks like some of the coating may have been over sprayed into the frame rail.

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  4 місяці тому +1

      @@PrecisionKing85 If you got an used one and it had been cerakoted or similar, then yes, this is actually quite common. I do cerakote and always ensure the fit slide to frame is in good shape after coating. Unfortunately, not everyone does the same.

    My shadow 2 has approx. seen 600 rounds. My main magazine starts to dont let the slide stay in the back position after the last round.
    The follower of that one has a slight play an i can push it quiet easiliy a few millimeters so it´s not pushing the slide release enouth upwards.
    Greetings from Germany

    • @czarmorer
      @czarmorer  8 місяців тому +1

      Greetings @nicoh3277! Yes, this is something that can happen - Check on your magazine spring to ensure it's still pushing the follower up with enough force. If that's out of the way, I would then focus on your follower.
