- Sequence to complete disassemble a CZ Shadow 2 - Frame was disassembled on the part 1, and this the part 2 working on the slide.
These steps are the same for most CZ hand guns. Some exceptions are for the ones equipped with a firing pin block (which includes the firing pin block assembly), the Shadow2 orange and the Accu series from CZ-Custom which are equipped with a 1911 style bushing, and the CZ Czechmates which don't include any bushing.
THISis the right way to DIY a barrel bushing removal. Ive seen other YT videos that uses much more force and seems to also damage the slide interior a bit too. By far the easiest and most effective removal method on YT.
How do you install a new barrel bushing?
Super simples - you just need to align the new bushing on the slide end, making sure the notch for the counter-pin on the bushing matches de hole on the slide on the front sight location (same orientation/alignment). Then you just lightly lubricate the bushing with some lithium grease and use a rubber mallet to push it in. Not really much force is needed...
Once the bushing is all the way in, you replace the front sight and counter-pin locking everything in place again.
