One of the changes is you, you are much more comfortable and confident with your skill. It’s what makes your channel so enjoyable to watch! Your videos sure have evolved but you are still the same entertaining Russell.
I think what is really cool your sharing of your journey with us. From beginning to now and everything between. I’m really enjoying watching these videos.
Nice to see the initial visualization process you had then compared to what you have now! Your crude stick outline turned out exactly how you pictured it!
You have done one heck of a build that is just awesome and I look forward to your videos every week. Just wish city women can be there with you 24 7. Be ✌️✌️✌️
This video was actually taken in late November. A week later we had a big warm spell and I was able to put the concrete posts in. So winter was coming on fast.
Nice. I'll have to check on my computer at home. I'm pretty sure I've got a picture of you on one of my trail cameras when you were first looking for the property...I remember pulling the card and thinking'" Who's this Jack Wagon?"
Your vision has come to life Dr. Frankenstein , Whats next ? Maybe some free range Lamas or wrangle a wild elk and start your own antler farm !! LOL. As always Russ entertaining, great to see the before and after results.
You couldn't have picked a better spot for the cabin Russell, it's perfect! Maybe before the weather gets bad again you could do a video walking around and showing some of the rest of the property? I'd love to see that myself, if you can sometime. Take care Russell
Hi Jeff I've done a fair amount of hiking and they're all in my videos. There are a couple of hiking videos, and "trip to the far side" of the property video. Also, I do a bunch of hiking in my earlier "episodes" videos.
Yeah I have seen some of those, still catching up, it just seems like there must be quite a bit we haven't seen with that amount of acreage and who doesn't like seeing you and the dogs go for an adventure. Actually it would be even cooler if you did that with Alicia if she's up for it. Anyway it's just an idea, I get that you don't want to repeat things too much. Cheers!
Jeff we probably won't do any hiking for a while mainly because the bugs are so bad but also you'll get lost in the foliage 10 steps from the cabin. We'll probably start hiking again in late August.
Ah yeah I can get that. I can also get that, now that I've thought about it, maybe when you guys do get the chance to hike you don't really want to take the time to film it and just enjoy.
Mate, it's so good to see that footage and just how far you have come in only a couple of years. Did I hear you say that you wanted the cabin to face true north? So does that mean your deck is on the shaded side of the cabin. I thought it would face true South as here down under we try to position ourselves true north to get the sun. Great video Russ, I loved seeing what it was like back then.
Hey Geoff, I actually wanted it to face North for a couple reasons. I don't like sitting in the sun (I'm very white), but I like seeing it. And facing north, everything we look at is bathed in sunlight. If you have a South view here, then often what you're looking at is in shadow. So this is perfect. The only other aspect was I wanted it very close to true North because of the solar panels on the South side.
The aspect is perfect then. I can't believe just how beautiful the view is and how lucky you are up there to have so many ponds and lakes. Such a magnificent area and it makes me so envious.
Can you guys spot all the changes?
You've come a long way since then. Nice to see the then and now. Keep on keeping on. :)
Thank you Russell for showing us this video👍❤🇺🇲
Quick, we’ve got to warn young Russell in that video about the ATV problems!
Get that winch fixed, Russell!

Wow! Very cool to see what it looked like before.
It's neat to go back and see what it used to look like.
Nice to see the initial visualization process you had then compared to what you have now! Your crude stick outline turned out exactly how you pictured it!
Very close, Chad! I had to review that video with a real critical eye to see how close I ended up. I was within a couple feet.
Dreams do come true, so happy for you both!
The earliest history for Raspberry rock, this is where it all began..... This is where your Legacy starts here....
Very neat.
Nice trip back in time there... The biggest change i spotted was no house! 😲
Nice, you caught it!
sorry i meant to right cabin at the time. 🏡
It looks like there are more trees around now than there was then, even with a cabin and all the firewood harvested.
It's nice to look back at was there ans then what you have now. Lots accomplished eh!!!!
Sure is, Mike. Eh!
Nice video !!😘

Wow..!!
What a difference xx ❤🍿😵
Looked like there was still a skim of ice on the pond then.

Russ it must have been a great feeling to wonder your property and envision your dream. So far so good. Stick with it Bro. Jim
Jim to be honest I was pretty scared. It was a huge endeavor and the property was still very foreign to me.
Nice. I'll have to check on my computer at home. I'm pretty sure I've got a picture of you on one of my trail cameras when you were first looking for the property...I remember pulling the card and thinking'" Who's this Jack Wagon?"
Oooh the one where I'm carrying that stupid box? Yeah, that would be my very first trip to see the property.
Nice Mr Russell.

Thanks Tommy. I could swim in the lake, just have to be faster than the leaches.
😁👌👍✌👍👍
Fall 2015?
Yes Brad, late November.
Still trying to fathom everything being brought in by an ATV. Just wow.
It was a trip alright. Well, a hundred trips.
But I love The View
