Is that commond to not have snow in january?we have never had that much snow those ten years I have lived here in the south of Sweden. I rember this from my childhood. Before we got electrisity, that happen when I was about 8 years old in 1952. I can remember they had to change the wick in our lantern, they was in use all evings, every day, so they got worn out, or burned out. Thank you for the video. Ps. Our lantern was with a long narrow glass and we used paraffin. A lot of smoke sometimes.
You should have cut the wick longer Alicia, I would have cut it a couple inches longer. The extra length won’t hurt anything as is will just fold over and lay on the bottom. At the same length it might not even touch bottom to use all the kerosene. And the wick does eventually lose some of its length as you use it because the black carbon on the end of the wick will eventually disintegrate in time. But good job figuring it out!
Oh thanks Alicia , I have an old coleman lanterns and did not know how to change the wick , Looks like a similar lantern so I should be able to change it now. The pond looks beautiful even in the rain & snow such a peaceful sight. I've always wondered if that glob can be replace if it is broken as things happen eh. thanks for showing us appreciated .
Awesome Alicia... I have some lanterns of old, have wondered how to open them for wick replacement. YaaaaY ! 🤗 Now I know. 🤗 Blessings. Thanks for the share. 😊 Blessed Easter. ✝️💖
try Carbon felt instaed of Cotton Wick. You never need to change the Wick again. you only have to cut the size you need by yourself. Buy 100% Carbon Felt. 👍
Wow, thanks for sharing that, never knew how to replace a wick before. Glad the rain changed over to beautiful snow.

The oil is a bit smelly. Looks nice when it’s lit though. Thanks Kastah!

Thanks Kristin!

I definitely don’t want to break the globe. No idea how expensive it would be to replace it. Thanks Sue!
Glad i saw this! I just ordered a couple lanterns off amazon! Thank you:)

Thanks Halina!
Glad you had success. Every household should have at least one lantern.
The lantern has a lovely ambiance. Thanks Patricia!
I love lanterns so much I have 5 of different ones
Nice md and thanks!
Don't think it matters the length, if you want it longer it's fine. Thread wick from the bottom it's easier, you did great! x
I was so nervous about not breaking the globe! Thanks for the advice on the wick Scarlet!
Another achievement on the "Yes, I can do that" list. ✅
Totally User! Thanks!
Next time cut the corners off the edge you are feeding into the adjusting gizmo it will be easier to get it started
Oh, I should have used the word ‘gizmo’ in the video!! I will try that next time. Thanks Gord!

Happy Easter Lidia! Definitely try the wick replacement. It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Thanks ✨
You did good!
Thanks Gord!
Had no doubt you would get it, next thing you know you'll be rebuilding Russell's 4x4 🤣
Ha! Well I don’t know about rebuilding an ATV. Thanks Ken!
You did a good job! And you can make the wick way longer 👍
Russell also told me that too. Next time. Thanks Chris!
Nice
Thanks Skip!
You can do it!!!
Yes I can! Thanks Jeff!
would have made wick longer to sit in bottom of bowl, then gets all the fluid.
Russell suggested the same thing. Dang it! Thanks Todd!
@RaspberryRockASMR I learned the same ,filling up twice as much, love those lanterns.
