Dylan was and probably still is, a sponge for culture. Music, visual arts, the written word, you name it.

Just a ballad of a thin man without tambourine, walk into the room like a rolling stone seekin' shelter from the storm, no pearls 'n' curls, only a pawn on his game.(from Jujuy,Argentina)

Great movie! Says it all about him. A legend in a world where there are barely any legends left.

Don't need to wait 300 years , we're talking about Bob now! This is the age of consciousness. Bob started the stone to roll forward.

In 1985 (?) on a Saturday night/Sunday morning I was walking my dog at about 1AM along Gulf Blvd in Clearwater Beach, FL. Dylan had played in Tampa that night. Some guy in a ball cap was walking a German Sheppard and our dogs stopped to sniff each other. We started dog owner talking and I realized I was talking to Bob. We walked back towards the Clearwater Beach Hotel where he was staying and there were local TV sound trucks with all these lights flashing parked in front. I suggested we cut down to the beach and walk 10 minutes in the other direction to my house and he was welcome to stay awhile until the reporters left. He stayed over that night (yeah, we got high and talked about some mutual friends it turns out we had living up in Woodstock NY.) and Sunday morning my girlfriend made a big breakfast and we ate and drank Bloody Mary's out on my terrace. Around noon a limo swung by, picked him up and off he went to the airport. He emailed me a thank you the next evening from wherever he was. Nice guy. Totally unaffected. Of course that pales to the time I was walking to my hotel in Manhattan in a freezing rain/ice storm and a guy in a limo creeping along side as I walked rolled down the window and asked where I was going. St. Regis. He said "man you look like your freezin to death, get in back we're goin that way". The lock popped open and I got in back and thanked the passenger profusely for the ride. He smiled and asked where I was from and what I was doing in NYC. It was Muhammad Ali. We had dinner with his agent at the hotel. When I die and St. Peter at the Golden Gate asks if I'd like to meet God I'm gonna tell him I already met him. Both of him.

Just a quick geographical fact check , she said " people came here from all over the world, specially from Eastern Europe " Italy, Ireland, England are not in Eastern Europe. Dylan's family came from Odessa , then part of the Zar's Empire now Ukraine.
    Love you Robert Zimmerman 🤩
Thanks for all those lyrics and songs they inspired my youth in the 70s , thanks also to your friend and camarade Joan Baez . Best music w a message who move us deeply

Bob Dylan is a musical genious . He's a force to be reckoned with . He was honest and true to himself . Take it or leave it ..I don't think he was out to become ' Mr Personality' I think he just wanted yo write lyrics and music .

@@Dawn-Songs I worked at a state hospital in NY (KPPC). Had a pt. being "chased by the holy ghost." Nurse said he liked chess. He would never play. One day I was sitting with board set up. He walked over and wanted to play. He beat me in 6 moves. And then went on to give me an oral presentation on Bobby Fisher. Unbelievable. So yeah, as you say, how many. Its a fine line.

Is Bob Dylan dead? All of these films and documentaries speak of him in the past tense. As far as Bob being a bohemian- think again. He’s a businessman

subterreanean homesick blues is great, but it ain't the first hip hop. Talking blues was common over big band swing in the 30s with artists like Cab Calloway. Johnny Cash did it too.
