Rice is almost totally void of nutrients. Those meals have way too much starch, no wonder so many walking around fat with health issues.
Not when you're starving. Has Carbs/Protein & calories, yep high in starch but when you can't afford other items, it's great to have to add some calories to meals. And, it's also a great source of other minerals.

US does not buy any rice from Russia or Ukraine, so there is no reason for the price of rice to go up....unless the farmers, sellers, distributors want to price gouge the customers.

@@xthomas7621 There are people growing it in buckets and pools. It needs standing water, fertilizer and shade cloth if your summer sun is to hot. Yes you are limited on how much you can grow but something is better than nothing at all. When I grow it next year I will find out the yield per plant.
