Every year, one of my favorite surgeons, that I worked with, traveled to India to do charity work, and came back sick every time. He would be laid up for several days with fever, and chills, but was fine during his vacation. I finally convinced him it was the flight itself; all of the humanity crammed into a small space with horrendous air circulation/filtration was the answer in itself. The best thing you can do for yourself is close the drapes, and the doors, and sleep. Resting will allow your body to heal much faster than trying to entertain us. We’ll still be here when your well. Hope you’re better soon.

Exactly! I still wear a mask when I fly. It is so easy to pick up a cold or worse when we are all breathing the same air on a plane. Perhaps over cautious but it has worked so far. 😊

That is not true! I travel everywhere. I just got back from Italy after traveling for 6 weeks throughout the entire country and also went to Switzerland and Germany. I never get sick! Although you can't help to get exposed to the recycled air on the planes it is more to do with your immune system. Earing well and strengthening your immune system with the right supplements, diminish stress and rest is very important. I hope you feel better Stephanie.

Stephanie, I suggest you wear a mask when flying or taking train trips. Ever since the pandemic I have worn a covid mask when I fly. I used to always be sick upon returning from a trip, but ever since using a mask every time, I no longer get sick! Think of it: you have been traveling in planes & trains with all the recirculated air-and germs-it is no wonder you are sick, poor thing! Give it a try & see how it works for you. Feel better soon! Air on a plane is not recirculated, it is filtered and brought in from the outside, changing entirely every three minutes.

Such a young woman with no love or home of her own? Everyone else comes n goes n comes back with stories to share. I just would like to see her venture a new path. Even Amaury moved out n is finding his path, but still returns.

Stephanie, I hope you feel better soon! The best things to eat are chicken soup and hot chili peppers. If those don’t work, try a mixture of honey, lemon, and whiskey. That will either work, or at least make you forget how bad you feel, maybe both!

Spoonful of honey 3 times a day but you must rest your body to give it a chance to repair the damage . There are some evil bugs about this winter so look after yourself. Cookery book will never be used if kept away from the kitchen. A long shelf above the new work top would be the ideal display to inspired all the cooks at the chateau, you got yourself a nice collection. it would pair nicely with a nice slimmer armchair in the corner...i live at Lalande in my head😂

Agreed! I do everything you suggest but I also I have continued to wear a mask when I fly. So far, in the last few years, it has worked.

You are so right, everything takes on a whole different level when you have vases of beautiful flowers around you, unfortunately I live in a hot climate and flowers do not last very long. Also, having beautiful dinner wear is also important as everything is in the eye, like delicious food served on lovely plates makes dining a special experience. Xxxx

I love how that little pot holds one velvet tier, hot chocolate, and pours three little cups. That kind of thing makes my day! I have something similar myself, just not in porcelain.
