    I just realized something. Hot Ones and Sean caters to the guest, and not panders to the audience, and it's that interaction between the interviewer and the guest that we are being presented. Typically, the audience is presented with the questions to the guest, to questions we want to hear the answers to. Hot Ones is so successful because we are given what the guest wants to answer, via research from the Hot Ones team, thus we are really being presented the conversation between guest and interviewer.

    I've said this a million times hot ones is the best example of humanizing Hollywood and media personalities. Instead of showcasing the host with jokes it's just questions showcasing these people with hidden likes and dislikes they genuinely look like they're having fun despite the name sake of the show. I've always kinda thought talk shows make actors and famous people in general look like stiff boards the only reason you see these people outside of articles is when they have something to promote but hot ones does a great job of doing both while also just making them seem like humans beings living their lives.

Sean Evans is a great interviewer and you get to see a different side of the celebrity guest. Not only because they are in pain from spicy spicy wings, but because Sean does such a phenomenal job preparing for these interviews. Props

      I think Part of that is the respect we give to them as people when they get to da bomb and beyond.
      It's like they may be rich or popular is f***. But in that moment, they're person. Even if you didn't like them before you respect them. Because it's not just about the heat, but the way they push through the pain. And the way they react to the pain.
      I don't get any enjoyment from watching them suffer, I feel a great deal of Happiness from watching them succeed.

They appreciate how prepared he is, they also appreciate that he isn't taking cheap shots or trying to bait them into saying something that they would regret. Sean has respect for his guests and it shows in how prepared he is and how the celebrities appreciate it. Its a great thing to have a good comfortable conversation with celebrities who are used to having to defend themselves

    I like how deep sean gets with his interviews. He obviously does his research and goes in for those personal questions.
    Most interviewers just do the very simple questions, like “what got you to do this thing?” or “what was the hardest thing for you to do?”
    No, he goes in with his questions, he asks ones that even the people he’s interviewing have probably forgotten until he asked them.
    And it’s hisway of interviewing people that i love about him.

    What makes this show and its questions so interesting is that the questions will never be based on 'criticism', the almost interrogation styled journalism you find somedays. It's just meant as a bit of fun, getting to know what your guests like based on thorough research. I feel like people open up way more to what they find fun because of the nature of the questions - instead of just getting simple yes or no answers all the time. The First We Feast team really got their shit together and it's probably my favorite celebrity interviews on the internet. Kudos!

      I always find 9/11 weird for me. It happened when I was a kid, but I'm also not really American, and I'm in this weird place where at the time I felt the gravity of the situation, but to me now it's just another tragedy in a long list of no special importance outside from America's absurd response and it's implications.

    • @justinhamilton8647
      @justinhamilton8647 5 років тому +9

      I don’t get this type of comment. Not your comment specifically, because it’s civilized, but just the whole “wow, they were babies in 2001” etc. Maybe it’s just fascination because it feels like 9/11 wasn’t all that long ago.
      Kids that turn 18 this year weren’t alive or were babies during arguably the biggest tragedy on American soil, yeah, and it seems that many who belong in those who were old enough to remember hold some kind of weird, demented power over these kids. A perverse “you haven’t seen anything, kid” that’s obviously due to juvenoia. All while forgetting the vast amounts of mass shootings and murders that have been prevalent for more than a decade.
      Hundreds of kids massacred in schools, all while their peers had to bear witness. Kids are afraid to go to school these days, monthly shooting drills in every district, coupled with the whole gun control discussion. It’s messing them up just as bad as 9/11 did to everybody back then, the feeling that you’re not safe in your own home. In your own school..
      Gonna stop before I write an essay, but just some food for thought.

    • @chogak
      @chogak 5 років тому +2

      @@justinhamilton8647 no, you're definitely right, but to one of your first claims: mankind has always been like, "back in my day" or "you kids don't know what it was like" while these are all true it doesn't stop the fact history keeps repeating itself due to the themes of human nature. I am not dismissing any of the other tragedies that happen on a daily basis. Perhaps I didn't draw a distinct enough line between those two topics I made.
      I feel as if the best thing I could say as a closing statement to this is to live and let live. I'd recommend understanding ethnocentrism, as it entails of judgement of another culture by your own cultures standards. It would be illogical and immoral to say someones way of life is wrong. This includes the generations we live in.
      Thank you for your insight, I hope this finds you well.
