Son made a hammer just like that in high school, I used it for years at work it was just the right weight and size for marking with a centre punch. Got quite upset when I broke it, the aluminium handle where it meets the head eventually gave out. Appreciate the reminder, not least the one about wanting a lathe, even if I haven't used one since high school industrial arts.

If you use a torch to melt a lead bar and let the drips drop into a pot of water you will end up with small lead balls.
Hmmm. Thanks for the tip. I actually tried that but must have done it wrong as I ended up with ribbon bits 😢
@@ShedBuiltStuff You have to play with height and heat. You don't want it super hot when it hits the water.
