I got Beam yesterday and found wireless DRM still doesn't work. Netflix didn't work as a wireless connection. XREAL is saying the wireless DRM update will come later. I hope it happens soon. Without wireless DRM, Beam is beautiful garbage.
I reached out to them and they confirmed that native apps coming in “coming month”. They certainly rushed it to market without enough time to finish software
Hi, most third-party devices have the DRM protection under wireless connection, it is the limit from the streaming apps. What we are doing is to solve this issue by pre-installed apps which will come in the near future.

I bought the beam, and it’s useless, since I use Iphone and downloaded netflix film in the iphone app. I am looking forward to enabling drm free for casting to the beam.

As long as it is supported phone I don’t see a reason why wouldn’t this work. I am sure that phone should be on supported list though otherwise power will only go to phone not the glasses, so you would be charging the phone, but glasses won’t work.

How good is the body anchor mode? Aren't there any "microshakes" when slightly moving your head?
It’s pretty decent actually. It helps when used by passenger of a car. I have not noticed any shakes, it felt very smooth

When connecting the Samsung into the Beam is it anyway to expand Hulu or Netflex to 330" or will we have to wait for new updates to occur.
Sorry, I don’t have any android specific information, but I do know that updates and most likely native apps coming directly to Beam
I can mirror my android when wires are connected but it says that it’s paired but it doesn’t pair when it’s wireless

@@youtubebrowser1730 without jailbreaking device (highly don’t recommend doing that) it’s not possible as of right now. But keep in mind this is simply first major software update. It will get even better and amount of app will be greater increased.
This device is a custom android, meaning that in theory it could run pretty much anything, it just needs to be optimized.
As of right now you can download Netflix and Prime Video.

GPD should buy Xreal. These Niech companies need to figure out how to stay ahead of the big companies. They are putting real Customer interests first and that is not what big companies are doing today.

It is not. At least not at the moment

Which MacBook are you using?
I use 2019 Intel pro 16 inch and it works flawlessly.
Are you installing Nebula or just plugging in as is?

I did install the nebula beta app and start the VR session and select 1-2-3 mode and it either stays black or just one blurry screen is what I get.

Long shot, but is your glasses updated? I had an update for them just couple days ago.
Btw, glasses can be updated via Beam!

It actually updated yesterday and I tried after the update no luck
The whole point of the Beam was that it was supposed to have higher Refresh rate
Yes and no. I agree refresh rate is disappointing however that might change with future software updates.
I already jailbreak it and there is a lot of possibilities to make this device 3x better, but it’s heavily dependent on amount of time xreal will spend on software development.
It has potential but as of right now it’s difficult to recommend with exception of few narrow use cases
So many issues with this device. I couldn't recommend anyone buy it without updates to resolve the issues with DRM content and even how it interacts with UA-cam non-DRM videos. Even in wired mode, the performance is kind of a mess.
I strongly believe that software been rushed and simply not finished. I received confirmation directly from XREAL that native apps will come soon (a month ~ish) which should make all DRM issues and remove any reliance on phone all together
Never use these in public. For your own safety. You need all your scenes in a public arena some guy could mug you,stab you,shoot you and you'd be unaware because of the glasses.

Genuinely sorry to hear that this is how you feel in your area and I hope things will improve.
We all live in different locations with different circumstances so we need to exercise our own judgement depending on situation.
With that said, my experience is very positive. I have used it on the plane(s), in foreign country on the street (Iceland) and back at homeland(US of A) in a public parks, coffee shops, etc.
