  • Well it's finally time to road test this old 69 skylark we pulled out of my own storage building a while back. Will it go? I don't know.
    Thanks for watching.

@@BrokenWrenches i saw a few yes. Great video's. You also mentioned Pertronix. Know that if your going stock with the Buick and your distributor isn't worn out there is no difference over points. Just check dwell and initial once a year or so and make sure the vacuum advance is working. These electronic sets are all hyped. Points are so easy and when they do start to go bad you'll notice that. Often cleaning is enough. When an electronic part fails you don't see it coming and you need to search for that technical failure. Just some info to think about. Happy New Year!

i personally when you are driving would rather listen to the car than music to hear whats going on

Keep it, seen alot of them beat to death. You have a chevelle or cutlass. Clean it jack it up, see what you got.

Looks like she has a few issues. The transmission leak is probably why no 3rd gear. Low on fluid. That’ll be an interesting rebuild I’ve seen one done they really aren’t that complicated just make sure you keep everything in order taking it apart. You’ll be fine then. Great to see the old girl going down the road again. Probably does need a timing chain those old cars didn’t last as long as far as stuff like like that went. 135,000 is a lot of miles for cars like that. Be neat to watch the redo on it. Stay cool

yea, it’s an exciting first step and a bit of a setback but that’s the way it goes.

@@BrokenWrenches Yes a few steps back and a couple forward. Kinda how life works. But it’s gonna be sweet when it’s done!

I new a guy that got one every winter and end up snowbank slammin, but the moters were bullet proof when they were crushed with the cars.
