For yellow turban (YT) farming, I realized in the early game when the YT rebellions are spawning they often have a follower ancillaries that you can grab. I've gotten many unique, gold tier, followers that way including. In addition, winter does decrease your food supply. This is shown in thee commandery as a winter debuff of reduced food and peasantry income
Hi many thanks once again for the quality content and best TW3K channel I found ! Chance upon your channel when was looking for some guide and a loyal subscriber to your content since.
Having married Sun Ren to Liu Bei in a campaign, when Guan Yu killed Sun Ce in a duel, Sun Ren went berzerk and healed. So yes, the Family/Friend/Oathsworn still counts. I assume that despite serving other factions its still hard emotionally to see a loved one go. Even if you are enemies.
Crossbolts should function like the Hail of Arrows ability, it would differentiate it much more from the arching Trebuchet shots and make it much more anti-formation as opposed to the Trebuchet's anti-fortification or the flaming shot's area denial
if it runs in a perfectly straight line along the ground (like hail of arrows, just that it fires one volley instead of 4) it'd be much more impactful and rewarding to your placement, right now it just feels like it's a flatter trebuchet arch that still hits a circle of units, and where you place and aim the unit doesn't really matter
been watching this after failing a LU BU campaign spectacularly, started a new one that's going much better, landed lucky and Liu biao paid me for a mercenary contract on he Yi when I was on my way there anyway, and made alot more money just selling he yis towns to Liu biao instead of occupying
Great start and looking forward to the rest of the series! In my gameplays, sometimes when I adopt people, they change their last names to my own, but other times when I adopt people, they keep their original last names. Is this a bug in the game, or does this randomly occur sometimes?
i'm not sure if somebody said it but yes if cao cao dies on the battlefield then dian wei would heal. I had a duel going and once my general was victorious he went beserk. turns out he was fighting his oathsworn..
Hi, been trying to follow your guide, but now my army is pulled to the furthest he yi settlement and the guy is on assignment. Their Large army led by he man just took my northern most settlement you begin the game with. My army is suffering serious attrition too. I'm also bankrupt, should I restart or waste turns marching back as I can't recall and redeploy due to finance issues. Any help would be great.
You should probably restart at this point. You probably fumbled your finances which led to the bankruptcy attrition. Given that the enemy is on your doorsteps and you have no money to get an army out and your main army is basically not doing anything (which you really shouldn't do) like certain start walking towards He Yi but feel free to fight along the way too. Each battle gives you experience and post battle loot. If you can get a mercenary contract it would be even better. Ideally you take out all the land around He Yi and then leave them undefended for him to take so he can get richer. Then it would be more likely for him to survive and summon himself on the field for you to fight.
@@SeriousTrivia I destroyed all the He Yi cities, they moved up and took my city Chenliu. I did manage to secure a coalition with Lady Bian. I'm on turn 25, so I guess I'm really out of sync, to shame to restart, with the more detail explanation, is it worth persisting as he yi likely only spawn in one city now.
see the more of his cities you take out the less money he has and the less likely he would ever come out, so you actually want to do the opposite, let him have a lot of land (leave some of yours that are next to him undefended) and then just start smashing his armies until he summons himself.
Keep killing them till he is on the battlefield. The three of them starts out in the same army next to Liu biao. They are Liu Biao’s first battle in his campaign
so I have a mercenary contract with Zang Ba (I think that's who it is) against Liu Bei. Took my first city of Lie's and it did not give me the option to give that city to Zang Ba. Did they change something in how contracts work? Does Zang Ba have to have adjacent land?
Shot in the dark, I have restarted this campaign dozens of times this week trying to get to He Yi before he's defeated, I have managed to get to his capital on turn 4 but he is ALWAYS dead, and I have spent 20+ turns on several campaigns executing his generals in an attempt to spawn him and no luck. I have scoured every corner of the internet for an answer and have turned up nothing. Please help.
This is highly random in favor of him losing that first turn battle. So there is really nothing that I can say aside from maybe declaring war on Liu Biao early to get his attention on you instead of He Yi
@@SeriousTrivia i tried that and he lasted until turn 2 lmao closest try so far, now i am doing something i saw in the comments about building him up so he can afford to be rehired. Thanks for the quick reply lol this has been maddening

Question, amigo... What happens if the characters do not get along? I know there might be a debuff when they dont get along in an army but what about court?
It’s a satisfaction hit. And actually it’s not a debuff in battle but the potential to form rivals which is a buff in damage in battle. If you can handle the satisfaction, rivals are a fine thing to have
In the recruitment pool or as an option after capture? I was curious about the statement made at 43:10 and was wondering if ST had any recollection of it
@@SeriousTrivia thanks for reply! What I mean is that if you lose the first city you take from Cao Cao? Liu bei offers to vassalize YOU. You probably never got there cus you’re too good lol. I always lose it, so I choose to get vassalized so Cao Cao doesn’t kill me, but then I go bankrupt, have to declare independence, and then end up at war with both Cao Cao and Liu Bei. I guess I just have to micro the hell out of Lu Bu and go for Cao Cao throat?
Ah I mean you can go that route. You should thin down your army at that point and try to setup some trade routes right away. But it does take you further from some key targets like He Yi and Zhao Yun which basically makes Lu Bu unstoppable
Resolve on Zhang Liao is triggering On your entire army not only general himself. You can use it to cheese game, eg. You can bounce Lu Bu with Zhang Liao whitout any army allover your teritory to crush anything that appears as threat. Lu bu with all these skills and this trait is just insane. This also helps you picking off target from your list becouse it takes just 2 turns and cost no gold. And tbh you do not need anything else than lu bu to crush any army that does not have alot of cav units. Especially when you have heal and fatigue immunity - nothing can stop Lu Bu from this point. Adding Zhang Fei Roar and Lu Bu level 10 freeze and Lu Bu is able to crush even full cav army

It kinda of does that right now. It doesn’t arch very well over walls so trebuchet is for sieging while crossbolt attack infantry

Move fire puddles (and other deployables) with alt + left click. Works the same as it does with units, easier to get the perfect spot for it :)
