If i remember right, in the book Midnight Sun (edward's POV), he mentioned that bella's defensive power might come from her dad's genes. because edward cant easily read charlie's mind.. he hears his thoughts in parts and has to make an effort to put it together to understand it. Edward mentioned that it would be interesting to trace bella's ancestry from her father's side.

In the books, Bella heard Edward's voice everytime she put herself into a dangerous situation, it was her way of keeping Edward with her. But for the film, they decided to rather show Edward as some sort of apparition in her mind, because they were worried the Team Edward fans would be disappointed not seeing Robert Pattinson too much in the second installment of the franchise. But New Moon focuses more on Bella and Jacob's relationship.

A little thing about Jasper though. He isn't a NEW vampire, he's old, older than all the other Cullens except Carlisle. Like in 2009 (when this came out) he was supposed to be like 160 maybe? Something like that. The problem is that he lived at least 120 years of his life, being a full blown murderer. Eating any and all humans he could get. No control whatsoever (they explain his upbringing next movie). So now, controlling those impulses PLUS the fact he feels the hunger that all other vampires around him are also feeling, all at the same time, makes it harder on him to control himself.
Zzavid almost puking each time it gets ~dramatic~ made me giggle so much 😂 After all the rotted Horror movies that he watched on this channel, twilight will be the one to break him.
