That zip tie is going to snap after facing temperature fluctuations, vibrations and funky situations. I've seen similar fixes where folks found a way to wrap that seal with a metal band of some sort. Think keychain ring (saw someone actually use this) or another study but bendable length to wrap around and leave enough on both sides to pull right and then snip if the excess
So I got a 2012 Ford Taurus and my boot has like completely entangled it's self but the tire rod is still tight and good am I good to just replace the boot? Thanks!

I think he zip tied the large end of the boot instead of putting back the metal retainer.
Zip tieing the boot doesn't seem right. In compressed state it could puncture the boot again.
It is probably better get a new one in your case in my honest opinion .
