    Understand Flatland grew up in the oil fields of Northern Montana doing your job there. Sub-zero 40 miles an hour winds are fun times.

      The kids and I were on our way to the farm for work when we drove past this giant red rig, we were in his lil blue vw and he was massive compared to us!
      The kids enjoyed seeing their dad out on the road♥️ smiles all around

      If I'm not pinned by my 16, I'll stop and mark off duty. If it's a serious accident or injuries, I'll also use ADC, and notate it. I've been 1st on scene of a fresh wreck or one that literally I had a front row seat to. Never had any enforcement issues if noted and logged proper.
      In this case, with pilots waiting, and someone else on site the wreck, I'd call it in to 911 to make sure they got it (esp if bad cell area, note mile marker and make sure someone knows)

    Surprised the trailer grounds through the wheel. Surely a ground wire in the plug would be more foolproof?

      Lifetime scholarship at the Skool of Hard Knocks.
      Middle of nowhere, no help, no option to fail, get it figured.
      Having some old hands that pass down their knowledge, and having mechanical skills and unlimited problem solving to think completely outside the (yard that the) box (came in).....

    Showed my dad (an ex trucker, fired cuz he wrecked a load of wood pallets, fiber boards) these videos. and all he had to say was “if the dot pulls him over and see the fixes he does he’s getting fired! He should just wait for the mechanic.” But he’s jobless and you’re not so I don’t believe him. He called you stupid for stuff like this. He lost some of my respect for that.

    • @TimelapseTruckerRTOT
      @TimelapseTruckerRTOT  5 місяців тому +2

      Well you should never lose respect for your dad’s opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own. No problems here, we are mechanics and drivers, it’s get it done or sit for ever. When your a 14 hour drive away from home. I would have done a great fix if I had all the proper stuff. And DOT can’t be mad on a fix that’s unrelated to how the vehicle operates.

      @@TimelapseTruckerRTOT instead of dumping a buncha shit like I did before I’ll just put it short. The guy sucks and has such a loser attitude I barely have any respect for him in the first place. And when I try to show him someone that does cool shit he’s got nothin good to say. He’s leaving behind a legacy of bad memories and shitty attitude. Pisses me off.

    Great video Jerrold. There will always be days like that and you just have to keep a cool head and think it out plus having a couple of awesome fans and the pilot driver sure makes it nice. Love the old hearse i kinda miss those monster size land yachts they were big but they had beautiful body lines and style.
