I own many of these interesting products…by re-viewing the videos (even a year later,) I see so many ways to use my wonderful stash! Thanks, ScrapTime!
Wow both ink and oxide at once! I've been doing one and then the other! Awesome! How fun is that! And the collage medium in a bottle, wow I didn't know that even existed! Would you mind if I put mine in a bottle I already have that I haven't started uing yet? Thankyou so much Tim Holtz for everything you do!
It's a heat tool, not a blow dryer. Tim is doing live Saturday Q&A videos on his channel. He did Distress Oxides last week. ua-cam.com/video/f25GOFUevkg/v-deo.html You may want to watch those on Saturday if you have questions.
Candace Kieper If you check out the Ranger channel on here Tim did a bunch of Facebook live stream teasers last week. He gave release dates for everything but I can't remember when he said distress oxide would drop. if you can't find it, let me know and I'll look it up for you!
Hello I'm a Tim Holtz fan from Spain and as I am going to go to New York in August for a holiday I would like to buy some things that are difficult for me to find in Spain (where I live). Could you tell me some store that sells your items in New York? thank you very much for your helpP.S. I love your tutorials on how to use the materials of Tim Holtz (Ranger) they are very helpful and encourage me to do things.
The Ink Pad is the main stamping store in NYC. I would contact them to see if they have what you are looking for ahead of time. Maybe they can bring it in for you. www.shoptheinkpad.com
thank you, I mean Oxide are so much more versatile, what does distress ink do that oxide does not? I have oxides and am trying to decide if I want Distress as well.
Oxide Inks turn a whitish colour when sprayed - Distress Inks hold their true colour. They blend differently than Oxides - Oxides are designed more for layering on top. Distress Inks blend into one another. It depends the look you are going for. I use both - separately and together. Plus, the colour selection.
Alcohol Inks are hard to seal. I spoke to a Jewelry artist recently who lets them dry for 3 days. Then mists on a sealer. Then adds a jewelry epoxy over it. But I haven't tried this myself.

thanks a lot.
Which is better? oxide or ink? I have all the inks and love them.
They are completely different inks. Neither are better. I think you need both ;)
We want you at ArtFusion Event!
Do you have to pay to get to creativation (and how much) as a visitor and can you buy some of the stuff? :)
It is a trade show. Buyers go to place orders for their stores. Nothing is sold off the floor.
Why buy Distress INks when the Oxides are so versatile? curious, thank you.
Distress Inks and Dye inks and Oxides are a Hybrid. Distress Inks came out first and are available in 61 colours. Oxides in 12.

Love the oxide ink.
Where is this CHA show? I need to go to next one, please tell me. Thank you!
This is a trade show - not open to the public. You need to be a member of CHA to go.
I think you're a little mixed up Margie. ;)
Interesting product.
Awesome Oxide . . 😎 😎 😎 Love it.
Out of curiosity, with these being both alcohol and water reactive, how do you seal them?
Alcohol Inks are hard to seal. I spoke to a Jewelry artist recently who lets them dry for 3 days. Then mists on a sealer. Then adds a jewelry epoxy over it. But I haven't tried this myself.
