      More evidence Ebike is the one bike to have.

    Orbea's idea is actually really good because once the batteries are gone the E bike is pretty much useless without that custom BB so instead of spending a ridiculously amount on a new battery for your 5 - 10 year old EMTB you can put a new BB can use it like a normal bike not to mention all that in frame storage

  • @heywood165
    @heywood165 14 днів тому +1

    With the new Orbea Rise getting the bump in travel a large percentage of owners were doing to previous generations, I think Orbea need to distance the full power Wild fs from the Rise and increase travel to 180mm front and 170mm rear bringing it in line with brands like Pole, Specialized, Whyte and Mondraker. They could have been testing a longer suspension platform, just minus a motor to see how the travel effects momentum downhill.

    The only bike full powered emtb you can run without the battery and motor(without heavy mods) is the Rocky Mountain Powerplay because it is built around a normal BB.

    around 15 000 km in the past 3 years :) on two bikes, counting 3 motors (Bosch CX 4th gen). Interestingly, the motor in the "winter abuse" bike is holding up much better than the fun one.

    👍I guess that the "hidden engine" is in fact a linkage system Orbea does not want to show, just like Specialized's new Aluminium/Carbon pipe Downhill bik🤔😁

    @EMBN would it be financially sustainable for companies like Orbea for example since they were the first to come up with this idea to build one frame for both it's MTBs and EMTBs with the only difference being BB and Huge Storage for the MTB instead of the motor and batteries ?

    These cheaper e-bikes are a similar price to a Honda CRF300 motorcycle. Kerching.

    • @carterschichtel9678
      @carterschichtel9678 20 днів тому

      Why compare them? A fishing boat can be 50k, who cares.
      Crf300 is trash in quality and design vs a budget emtb.
      -budget full suspension bike is 2-4k
      -budget emtb is 3.5-6k
      -stock 450 10k
      Emtb is still the best value imo 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @philipshore6924
      @philipshore6924 20 днів тому +1

      @@carterschichtel9678 I disagree. That Honda is built for the mid price market but it isn't trash. It's reliable, has longevity, is repairable and is capable for world travel adventure. E-bikes are still struggling with longevity and ability to repair/replace the motors and batteries. The e-MTB industry still has an early adopter problem. My opinion is the cost-per-hour of riding over the life of the product is still too high on e-MTBs.

    • @carterschichtel9678
      @carterschichtel9678 20 днів тому

      When shopping for something It seems silly to compare the prices to a completely different product.
      My emtb costed the same as my ktm and I ride my emtb 100x more due to accessibility and fun factor of the trails close by.
      If I wanted a cheap bike to commute and do some light trail riding in between a crf would make sense.
