The version he sang is very easy to sing for most people and perfectly within anyone's singing range. He sang it well though but still not a hard song to sing bc he decided to sing an octave lower.

Joe has power and a nice tone but not enough control, Nick contrôles his voice much better.
nick did great. seriously, he has a great voice. he's got a touch of soul, good control, great breath support (at least compared to joe's).
They actually did a really good job. Didn't expect it to be this good!
How they did that before 8am astounds me. I can barely think at 8AM, let alone cover a Frank Ocean song even close to competently. Much better than I expected, and Nick especially is getting to be ridiculously talented.

For those people hating on the way Nick sings, you need to realize that it's actually friggen hard to sing while playing guitar. trying to remember the fingerings for the guitar while manipulating his vocal chords to hit those notes is talent.
I like Nick but there are THOUSANDS of people on UA-cam who sing AND play the guitar at the same time who do better than what he did here.

as a bassist who sings i think it's very difficult. But in this case no, he's just playing quarter notes and that's very easy. The difficulty of playing bass while singing is in the rythm, when you have to play a complex melody while singing
Eric Ardiente I don't care about the Jonas brothers, but I will tell you (as a singer) that it is definitely challenging to do ANYTHING else besides sing. Another challenge is to sing with emotion on command at 7 'o' clock in the morning. Your voice is not warmed up and your mind is not quite ready to be "deep" enough to produce warm, emotional tones. I thought they did a good job, and I'm not even a fan.

I actually love this cover. You guys need to remember that singing a song in a studio without an audience looks a lot different than freely performing it onstage. You concentrate a LOT more on your vocals and aren’t worried about the way it looks because you don’t have people watching. This runs true with any artist.

Glad this video is coming back into popularity. I listened to this years ago, not sure anyone knew about it!
Not to mention, everyone needs to stop saying that Nick is more talented than Joe. They are all equally as talented as the other, and I am including Kevin with that statement. Kevin is the "least favorite" because yes, he doesn't sing lead, but he does sing backup occasionally. By the way, Kevin actually has a really nice voice, if you would just listen to him sing instead of always focusing on his brothers. Kevin sounds like Joe, his voice is just a little bit deeper, but come on he is 3 years older than Joe. Just like how Nick always sounded so young because he is 3 years younger than Joe. In other words, they all have different voices like Nick can go high and Joe can too when he wants. Nonetheless, they sound epic together and epic individually. To conclude, the Jonas Brothers are hot! They all look absolutely stunning, like they have great skin, great hair, great voices, everything! Most of all they have great music and that's why I love them: they are talented musicians who write their own #1 hit songs. Anyone who watches this video should be like: "OMG! I love them, they sound better than ever before!" You guys shouldn't be comparing them and saying that one is better than the other and all that nonsense. Joe, Nick and Kevin just keep your heads up and stay true to yourselves. Nick is doing awesome on his own. You can too Joe, if you would just release an album, a single, anything!

It;s not hard to sing lol. If you have it then it comes naturally. Trying is often a sign on straining your voice, but it was really early so they get a pass.
Signing comes naturally that's true but there different voice types and it seems like they can't hit those notes.

I can't speak for anyone else but I thought the cover was damn good! Like Rachel said I think Nick sang a lot better than Joe but honestly I think he did OK too. I've heard three of their studio works and they have NEVER sang like that on any of their albums I can assure. If their album "V" never makes it out I will be infinitely sad. :/
