Well for lack of a better word I'll use that) I understand that you have an opinion and that's fine, but you calling these girls "Stupid bitches" because they didn't perform the song the way you thought it should be performed is just immature and takes away from your argument. Boyce didn't call them out for the way they performed the song so does that make them stupid too? Is everyone who enjoyed this "mindless" and "shallow" as you've claimed the girls to be in a different comment? I read almost all of your arguments trying to understand what about this makes them "stupid." How does the way someone performs a song correlate with their intelligence? Sure there are some people who have a better awareness about what represents the lyrics better and I don't doubt that there are better performers out there, but I don't think Fifth Harmony or even Boyce Avenue put that much meaning behind this little get together. It seems like they wanted to perform with the girls because they have beautiful voices and thought it a good opportunity since I think they were coaches for X Factor when Fifth Harmony was on the show or something. They did this with other contestants as well and I'm sure none of their performances would measure up to your standards either. Honestly, I think you're just being unreasonable. Just enjoy the music or go somewhere else. No need to be so harsh.

I didn't say that I appreciated Boyce because of their "authenticity". It's a cover, there's no authenticity there. I appreciated what they did because their music fit the style of the song as it was written and performed by the artist who wrote and performed it.
If I sang Amazing Grace like it was a beach song, you'd look at me like I was an idiot. Ave Maria like it was a 1970's disco song, you'd think me a moron. Lightning Crashes like a kid's TV show song... yeah you get the idea.
Yes, if you enjoyed their singing and thought it was great, even though they took a deep intense song and performed it like it was Britney Spears in a high school hallway or the Spice Girls down at the mall, you are indeed a moron.

One of the few covers that will always be the best version of the song to ever see light! No offense to the original or any other cover.. but this interpretation of Mirrors is really the best one there is 👌 And we all knew Cabela was meant to become a star back then.. good to see she shun bright ever since! What a rendition 🙌 They knew it was special while it happened.. you can see it in their faces. Well, it translated the same way for over a decade now
