    Join me on my motorcycle trip through the Mojave Desert in California, filmed on 3 cameras by myself, in Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley National Park, and Anza Borrego Desert State Park. I rented a Triumph Tiger 800 XCX, which was more than capable on the road and in the sand. I camped in both parks, once in Jumbo Rocks campground (Joshua Tree) and once in the backcountry in the Panamint Dunes (Death Valley).

    The commentary on this video is AMAZING. Wow! Such a good analogy to the power of the desert. Thank you for enlightening us with this.

    Thanks Chris, what a treat to have a new video this morning. Just bought a 2015 1200 Explorer and was thinking of the name Triumph as well this weekend. I think when contentedness gets flamed by desire we stop adapting and start taking risks that makes us divided, but when content reigns the soul rests. The answer is in the attempt. No risk in adventure, just make discovery your foundation and enjoy the journey. I look forward to your next video.

    I live in the middle of the Sonoran desert in Arizona. Triple digits six months of the year, it does bake the life out of you if not adequately prepared. To your commentary I would only add that the desert 8s actually teeming with life. The longer I live here, the more critters I see. Be well.

    What I love the most about your videos is the poetic narrations, the lessons , the historic and religious reference, very well narrated, more than just a hike or a motorcycle video, it has an extra edge to it, good work 👍

    A different motorcycle, the same video editing brilliant skills and music choice, the same awesome inspirational and motivational shared words that "takes" you away from where you're watching it and into a motorcycle seat, on an open road ahead of you! It just never disappoints, truly awesome, thank you Chris!! 👍👍

    I don't know how I found your page, but I'm hooked! I've been riding around the country trying to put two wheels in each of the lower 48. Almost completed now, and I feel like I don't want to finish because I don't know where to go next.

      @@ChrisIronhardt lucky or unlucky, I'm in Indiana, so I can go in a different direction each vacation. I did do a fly and rent for the first time in November.
      Sounds like that's how you do part of your trips. I think one of the weird spots that really got me was if you look at the map of Maryland there is some little tails that run down to the next state. It's super touristy, but there are some spots where there isn't enough land for a building, and that Atlantic Ocean breeze with the sounds of the water is pretty fantastic.

      @@JCrozier1 I love the fly and rent. Definitely allows me to see more places / ride a variety of bikes. Maryland coast sounds interesting - I’ve been eyeing the Carolina coasts, but will add MD to the list! Thanks for the tip + wisdom

      @@ChrisIronhardt something I didn't like about the flying rent was trusting how good or bad someone else's bike is. I ended up with an xsr900, which was a fantastic bike, but with a dry chain and some almost bad tires. I either would have had to find a different method, or scrub the whole trip if I didn't take it.
      Something to be said about riding your own bike, whether you take good care of it or not. You know what's been done or not done to it.

    I completely agree with everything you said about the desert, it’s such a special place. It took me a few visits to the Mojave after I moved to San Diego to understand stand, but when I did it was amazing.
    Where did you rent the bike from?

    • @ChrisIronhardt
      @ChrisIronhardt  Рік тому +1

      Cheers thanks for the comment - typically I use Rider's Share or Twisted Road to rent motorcycles in new places, they are peer-to-peer sites, a nice way to try a variety of bikes

      @@ChrisIronhardt amazing, thanks so much. I had no idea that was a thing. Considering getting a bigger bike than my dual sport 350 to do longer rides but there are way too many choices. This sounds like a good way to see handful of bikes.
