.5oz is just a hair under 15ml. Your local pharmacy will probably give you a syringe with ML markings on it...they have a big-O-box of them for childrens liquid medicines. OR...just put 2oz in that gallon jug you have there ;)
Uhhhh, distilled is void of minerals...DI and distillation are two processes that get you to the same end result. Distilled water is on the shelf at your grocery store...DI likely is not.

Would deionized water not be more suitable since that has all the minerals removed, unlike distilled water?
