I use this to wipe off the wheels when I’m done with the paint, I have hard water in New Mexico and no matter how clean your weeks are when washing, they have that hard water cloudy look after drying. This does really well for making them clean.
Claying is in my opinion one of the scariest part of detailing because of the risk of inflicting more scratches. Having a good lubricant and a high quality clay is key. Great video once again my friend!
Yeah man! I find transitioning to new clay often is the most important aspect, which unfortunately is the most expensive part. I was watching a video the other day and heard someone say their clay lasts a year, as a detailer. Very scary haha. Thanks Buddy!
Dont get me wrong I agree 100 on the clay and lube, but honestly, to me atleast, its the most relaxing and satisfying part. Just keep it slick and work that clay always. You're cutting or polishing either way after. Best trick is to loosen the clearcoat crust with a tar/iron remover soak first. Everything will come right out smooth if you keep it lubed. That crisp vibration of the fingers on cleared paint is on my top satish detail fetish 😂 I almost dont even look at the paint when im claybaring it. Its all feel. Nothing like stubborn tar spots that goes loose at the first pass or require a little side clay roll to let go. That confidence to start cutting it builds up and you can feel where the car needs love.
Clay bars are now long gone the clay towels are the way to go and the clay mitts and clay sponge pads, If you drop them wash it out thoroughly and continue ..Clay bars throw it away when you drop them .. yes it is scary
I am using the rinse and wax. I mixed 1:64 and it don’t work well with heavy duty clay bar. 1:32 much more effective. I used 1:20 for detailing - do you think this is a waste?
Another great video, I appreciate you sharing this with me! I'm in the process of building my detailing business. I've been exploring cost-saving options, while still being able to use quality products.
I am all about saving money! plus if you are claying you should be polishing after. Yet some may argue that its not slippery enough but even with the more expensive/slippery options you are still likely to leave some micro marring behind hence why you should be polishing after. great video ! do you ever use claying mitts instead of clay they are much easier to clean ?
Just so yall know the product actually recommends only 1 Oz per TWO gallons which equals out to 1/8 of oz per 32oz bottle. So you can literally just put a little bit in the bottle and not even worry about measuring it out. 1/8 of an oz is like a short trickle
HellCat Monthly Payement !! lmao~~~~~!!!!!! Dude..0.5 oz to 1 litre !! You just made my Day !!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordering Optimum Asap!! Thanks a Million!! ;-)-
Be cheap use window cleaner. I use nanoskin pad and clay bar for small areas by trims ect. You can even use a bit of car shampoo in a sprayer bottle. These two things you have anyways. No need for ONR.
You have any thought on the green Optimum No Rinse Wash and Wax. I'm not sure the difference between it and the blue Wash and Shine.....people use both for clay lube, washing, and detailer spray.
Thats crazy! Echo2 is almost 3 times the price of No Rinse in North America. Very weird how that happens country to country. I would definitely be using Echo2 if I were you as well.
Soap doesn’t provide the lubrication of Optimum No Rinse(ONR). If you’re going to be polishing after, the marring soap will cause will not be a problem.
Yvan Lacroix interesting! I’ve seen many use car soap and was curious if that was good alternative, guess not as many skip polishing and go straight to applying a wax/sealant
of course IF you use Bilt Hamber clay it is so pure you need no lubricant except water ! they even have their own private clay mines in UK ! it is supelative

This wash and shine has some sealant in it which makes things shine. I have been using it for claying and it did gray work, but ...... Applying sealant/wax after this ONR wash and shine will make new sealant /wax to fail in a week or so , all cause of this sealant in ONR wash and shine and even pure IPA wipe can not kill sealant from ONR wash and shine. This caused me so much reputation loss :(((((((((
The correct amount of water in your 32oz bottle should be 31.5floz of water and .5floz of water. Otherwise the dilution ration making the bottle 32.5floz. Great stuff though, I use it for many things 👍🏻 @MKDetailed
I have GC clay luber, what would be a good dilution ratio? I used a 24 Oz bottle to clay the hood, fenders and 2 doors on my SUV. Yes I know that’s a lot, first time claying my Tahoe.
2 Ounces of wash per 1 gallon of water. Put it in a spray bottle, shake up mixture, spray 2 foot square area and keep surface of car wet at all times when using clay. Saved you 6 minutes of listening to this guy tell you his life.

@Chromatic Auto Detailing but its also more concentrated, (ONR is like water) try maybe really cost less that way :)

can i do this same with Mckees n914 rinseless wash as a lubricant?
Thoughts of using car soap and water as a clay lube alternative?
Love it! It's a great solution if the vehicle is very lightly contaminated and requires minimal claying. Foam it down again and hit it with the clay!

can we apply this on the windshield?
Absolutely. I always clay glass along with paint.
amazing thank you for this
Of course bro! Thank you!
Is that same dilution amount sufficient for using it as detail spray?
1:16 ratio for detail spray. So add 1oz to a 16 oz bottle or 2oz to a 32 oz bottle.
Good info 👍
Thanks!!!!
I hate the American system of volume just litres, milliliters etc like the rest of the world

No, if the ratio is 2oz/gal (128oz) then 128/32=4 and 2/4 =1/2 or 0.5oz. Your method is 2oz/126oz and not 128oz
NO Rinse product can you use to clean the interior of the car ?

30ml of Optimum No Rinse to one litre of water for the 95% of countries that don't use Imperial measurements
Yeah im not sure why I did US measurements in this. Im from Canada. I piss ML's
Isn’t it a recommended 6% dilution ratio which would be 60ml in 1 litre, or have I got that wrong ?
old or new math...oh you need some lube on that chalk board....note: I use silly putty as a clay bar alternative and bud lite as a lube....
Wow 1/2 an oz. for a 32 oz. bottle? That’s awesome! Would it hurt to use a full oz. a bottle? 😂

you put in 1 oz of optimum no rinse in your 32 oz bottle
he should throw it away and start all over again right ?
Instructions say 1oz optimum to 2 gallons of water, his measurement at the beginning is incorrect.
Your dilution is correct for the normal rinse less wash. It needs to be more concentrated for the clay lubricant
