A real piece of York!
Thanks for watching!
Hope you’re having a great winter season man!
Thanks man!
Good one Ryan 👍
Thanks Greg! I appreciate you watching
If you have a toasted heat exchanger why not rob parts and put them in the unit with the good heat exchanger?
We have a do not exceed dollar amount that I would have been over and if I did they would never approve the repairs I wrote up on the unit I put parts on. Thanks for watching!
@@HughesManHVAC i see ! Thanks Ryan
Nice video, Ryan. I WAS thinking maybe you could swap the draft motor and ignition control outta the one unit to get 1 unit up and get them some heat.... but then you answered that question at the end. Some customers are like that, and if they have even 1 tire outta 4 that's not flat, they won't fix the other 3 til that last one goes and they're by the side of the road. So, best to just force the issue by putting them right there on the side of that road so they can make the right decision.
Exactly! Plus I have a very small window with the DNE $ amount they give us for these service calls. Thanks for watching Winston!
7 Thumbs uP
Thanks for watching Steve!
Hey Ryan...Big Hello and Happy New year to you and yours, from The Windy City Chiraq....As always, another nice video. Take Care and Be Safe...William
Thank you William, hope you and your family are well!
Good stuff very thorough 👌🏼
Thank you!
Mt. Pleasant !!!! Wooooooo!!!!!
I was on the old Kmart building out there in Mount Pleasant evaluating equipment after the Kmart shut down. It was 45° in the entire space somebody had shut off the gas meter outside they’re lucky I walked in there because the sprinkler lines were still active. Them Yorks are a pain to change the heat exchangers.
2 guys every bit of 8 hrs.
Carrier/Lennox- 2 guys 4 hrs max. Lol.
Those ICM’s are notorious for going bad but do not forget to jump out the rollout switch I always tell our apprentices first jump that out since you may have voltage present but continuity for some reason is not there.
I’ve had those centrifugal switch is go bad and you can jump the mouth to test that but yeah they should’ve replaced it good call.
Great job.
Broken sprinkler lines no good! Thanks for watching man! Maybe I’ll run into ya some day.
@@HughesManHVAC : probably bump into one another at a supply house lol. good investigation on the rest of the parts. Have a great day.
Really enjoying your YT channel. Good Job, man.👍🏻
I am so happy to hear that! Thank you!
Mt Not so Pleasant.....hahahaha that was pretty good
Lol. You just made my day! Thanks for watching man
Had a cold one Friday . High in the low 40’s . Doesn’t happen often. We replaced a blower wheel and shaft and bearings on a rooftop penthouse at a local hospital . They left the hot water coil valve opened so we stayed warm. I know winter is rough up where you work
If we are working on a roof and it’s really cold I’ll open the supply panel on another unit so we can go to it and warm up throughout the workday. Jump out w and have a nice warming station! Thanks for watching Brutis
I'd take 40s anyday. Here in Chicago I've been on rtu at -20..you know it's cold when your meter leads go stiff af 😂😂
@@AllTattedUp13 we pay for in July and August. 95 plus with humidity to match
@@Brutis-1983 heat don't bother me, yea it sucks. But I hate that when it's so cold it hurts lol. Stay safe out there brother
@@AllTattedUp13 you do the same. It’s easier to cool off on a roof than warm up.
So far this year been the year of pressure switches for me. I'm getting like 3 a day, where its the actual switch itself.
Damn! Must have a bad batch. Thanks for watching!
Would appreciate if you show how to check voltage on the controller module while using meter for new tech.thanks greatly appreciated
I basically had my meter set to ac voltage and checked the power terminal on the control to ground. It’s hard to hold the camera and use the meter at the same time. I will try to show more on the next video. Thanks for watching!
Wonder if it's time for a new unit
Probably, if the repairs are extensive we always give a repair and a replacement quote. They never approve the replacement quote and to be honest with you we make more money off repairing units as opposed to replacing them. Thanks for watching man!
Honestly both units could be replaced.
Yep… thanks for watching man!
You guys work on those munters units too?
I do not, those are the dehumidification units right?
👍
Thanks for watching!
👍👍👍
