We’ve been using Trainerize with our online clients for a good while now and we have some good and not so good things to say about it.
So, in this Trainerize review we’ll be breaking down the pros and cons of using the application.

Most importantly, we’ll be figuring out whether or not Trainerize is worth it for you!
It’s a gonna be a good fit for many trainers and online coaches, but not everyone.

Hello, I a accidentally came across your how to start a personal training business video and when I realized you were from CT, I subscribed and liked to support your business. I live in New Haven, CT and am beginning my business as well. I started establishing web pages , a podcast, business pages, and everything else to begin my journey in the past week. I respect the hustle and grind aspect of the business and understand it is not an overnight goal, but that's what I love about it, the grind. Just want to drop some love and let you know I am following you for a lot of advice in my journey and supporting my fellow statesman. Hope you and your wife are doing well and have a great day/week/year man! 😀

Hey, just watched two videos of yours, firstly I find your style good and informations accurate from my point of view, nice to watch !
I've got a question for you,
    A little context first :
I'm not a personal trainer neither having any certificate or studies in any fitness related fields, but I'm practicing and learning quite deeply the topics for about 15 years, been advising/teaching a real lot of people on the road.
I'm planning to become an online and/or in real life fitness coach, oriented on what I know the most from my experience.
I'm actually learning a lot lately about more specifics informations that I myself don't truly need, such as handling people's health issues and anatomic conflicts for example.
    Here is the question :
Do you believe a profile like myself could become a personal trainer on internet or in real life, without any certification ?
Thanks to anyone that took time to read !

Thanks for the comment! It sounds like you have a lot of good experience and knowledge! I still always recommend getting a certification and some hands on experience training people first though.
There is no substitute for training clients in real life.

I fully agree with everything you said in this video. It has a lot of pros but some annoying cons.

I've found that if your communication with your clients is good you can get by with google docs pretty easily.

Could you review PT Collective certifications? There is almost no info on these certifications on youtube but some of the trainers around my area says it's a really great course .

I was thinking about covering some of their stuff at some point but I think they’re closing down. At least that’s what they posted on instagram recently.

Or were you using a different platform before to manage client? Are you going to continue to use it?

We’ve used Everfit recently as well. Both Trainerize and Everfit are pretty good options. Both come with their own set of pros and cons.
We plan on sticking with Trainerize for the time being.

Could you make a video on the best online training certificates out there? I think this would be very different compared to more traditional certificates such as NASM, given that you are not physically with clients and the focus is not so much on the technique of the exercises

I would advise against. The most popular one is probably Jon Goodmans version from the personal training development center but even still the version I tested relied on DM all your friends everyday. Then there is Brandon Carters which relies on you going SUPER niche. $5000 price tag but I wouldn't take that route. You can probably find more success starting in person then transitioing.

So far I agree with this comment! We’ll be testing out some online training education options but the OTA from Jon Goodman seems like the best bet for most people. I think it’s always better to get in-person experience first and then go online later.
