    I live in Brooklyn, NYC, and it's a bit of a weird time here now as I'm sure it is everywhere. But it's great to end the work-from-home day cooking one of your meals. My girlfriend and I have been cooking them for months. All of the meals that I like from your videos, I transcribe onto my phone, and now I have a couple of dozen of them stored up. Thanks for all you guys have done all these years and thanks for posting these videos even at times like these. I'll be at the market tomorrow buying ingredients for this.

      @@gordanazakula4927 I know you asked this question a long time ago, LOL and I'm sure you have figured it out and done it your way, but I just at the moment and making this recipe for about the 10th time in a year, I actually make it once a month and every month it's a little different. I change up some of the green veg, I change up the pasta portion, this time I'm using red quinoa, last time I used red lentil pasta, the time before I used barley and some white quinoa,it's all good! I season the stew per serving cuz everyone has different flavor profiles they prefer but I sometimes add extra beans at the end and that's when I add tons of parboiled mushrooms I don't put them in the stew itself. After about 2 days in the big pot in the fridge, I transfer it to single serving portions and freeze. Serve it with a crusty baguette and vegan butter, absolutely amazing! Best of luck and enjoy!

    Thanks guys. We are eating so well at the moment. I’m vegan and my husband eats what I give him because he says the food is so wholesome. I suppose it’s wrong to veganise a person in isolation but the food is so good and I dose him with B 12, and multivitamins. Thank you for being relevant.

    • @donnakeane5754
      @donnakeane5754 4 роки тому

      Alexandra Fingleton i do not see how it can be wrong when your husband happily eats all you prepare and set before him. If you were lying to or misleading him that might be different given that he is an adult and capable of making his own food choices. Even that is sometimes a thin line to navigate when someone we care for refuses to make better choices even when their health or life may depend on it.
      What is relevant right now is keeping ourselves as healthy as possible. A large part of that is based on the food we put into our body. You are giving both you and your husband extra ammunition by eating as healthy a vegan diet as you can for as long as you can. Our best defence starts on the inside.
      Wishing you and yours peace and continued good health! XO

    18th or 19th batch, coming up to 3 years making this every month or every other month, found this video at the very beginning of the pandemic, mid March 2020 and been having it and freezing portions every month ever since! By the way, we add mushrooms and maybe some extra beans and whatever we have laying around, leftover peas or something just throw that in. And each person seasons at the way they like, my favorite is turmeric, black pepper, garlic powder, a bit of Cajun seasoning and to top it off, a shot of vegan Worcestershire (made without the anchovies

      The Happy Pear It took some figuring out how to get there. We got the boat from Mykonos to Evdilos on the north side of the island, hired a car and travelled across to the south side of the island - spectacular scenic drive across a mountain range. There is a fabulous health food shop (last shop on the left) as you leave Evdilos - and then we stayed in a small seaside village called Therma where there is a natural thermal spring in the harbor. We left the island from the south port of Agios Kirykos. We only spent a couple nights there because we were scouting things out, but definitely want to go back and explore other parts of the island.

      We know, its a shielding problem somewhere on the radio mics, can't figure out if its the cables, mics or radio pack. They get affected by the current from the element in the electric hob when its turned up high. We even bought a new hob.

    As tasty as the recipe is, please please avoid using the misleading term immune "boosting" just to catch people's attention during the C-19 pandemic! No foods, vitamins and diets actually 'boost' your immune system, but rather "support" or "supplement" whatever's already in your diet.
    In fact, too much "boosting" of the immune system can be harmful, for example look at auto-immune diseases where your defence systm actually attacks your own body! It's all about balance.
    Instead of anxiously and panic-ly eating lots of these foods, it's more important to exercise regularly and to have a balanced diet!
    Stay safe everyone and look after each other!

    No oil? Why? Our immune system need a certain amount of fat to work properly, so if it is a dish that is looking for boost the immune system you shouldn't be afraid of using oil, or at least garnish with some nuts, almonds or olive oil. I really can't understand why you guys make so many videos "oil free", specially when vegans don't eat meat fat, they always need to be aware of importance of putting the right amount of fat on their diet... (sorry for the bad English, I'm brazilian...)

      We agree with you about garnishing with nuts and almonds. There are many fat sources that are not refined sources. If you would like a recipe with oil we have hundreds of them. This is just one recipe we made for our subscribers who asked for a recipe without oil. If you'd like it with oil you can just add the oil. 👍😀
