I have one: If you need ice cream in seasons other than summer or at a time where no one is tending the stand and you have a horse, you can leave your horse behind the stand (a bit to the left, you have to move it around until it works) and the game counts the horse as someone tending the stand, so you can buy your ice cream in any season and any weather.
It's a pretty well known exploit, but catching Robin at her desk as she's coming back from aerobics has been a lifesaver. #9 used to work on console too. It's patched, now. I remember buying all my iridium sprinklers from Krobus on Friday with that one.

Interesting exploit I found with my friend, if you get on a horse and someone else uses the horse flute at the same time it teleports you to a completely different area, we found that if you jump on the horse at the top right of Linus’s tent you can get to the summit without perfection (and I don’t think it matters where the person is using the horse flute from)
Look at my horse, my horse is amazing, give him a lick, hmm he tastes just like raisins, he turns into a plane when you glitch out the game, and he turns back again when horse warp is completed (Lol sorry if that reference is kinda old)
If you quickly use returning septer while getting up onto horse. It will teleport the horse with you to the location that you are currently standing in a map. (For eg, If you are standing in the middle of pelican town, it will teleport you to middle of the farm. Sometime it will teleport you to out of bound or place that you can get out like fences or high differences.)
I wonder if that's just on PC, if you try to call your horse but somebody is riding away on it, the fleet will tell you you can't call a horse while it's in use. Doesn't do anyting
Always fun to see these exploits in action, even if I never end up using them, haha. One chair skip that I never see anyone mention, despite how useful it could theoretically be, is to clip through the barrier blocking the Mutant Bug Lair in the sewers. You can use it to get the Dark Talisman early and unlock the Witch's Swamp & the ability to build obelisks, Junimo Huts, etc. without finishing the Community Center. Granted, you're probably well on your way to finishing the Community Center by the time you can access the sewers, but I still think it's a fun one!
Junimo huts without completing the Community center you say? Well you might not have all bundles done by then! Especially that one farming bundle that starts with the letter 'q'
@@caritahearts2405 the vanilla bundles are awful. When I do a new play through I do remixed bundles and the remixed mines rewards for extra randomness. Albeit some of the remixed bundles are also awful (I’m talking about the master fisher and the sticky bundle) BUT some of the harder vanilla bundles can be replaced by much easier bundles such as the animal/artisan bundle being replaced by the garden bundle and the fish farmer bundle. Or the dreadfully awful dye bundle requiring a red cabbage which the entire bundle can be replaced OR the red cabbage can be replaced by an iridium bar. The treasure hunters bundle is also pretty hard but not as hard as the master angler bundle.
The chair skip an also be used to access the quarry day 1 if you place the chair next to the mine cart in the mines and walk to the right (make sure you have some other way of getting home) I think it also can be used to access the desert, although I am not 100% sure, since I think the quarry mine, the regular mines and the skull caverns all share a map you just don’t see the other parts.

This is not an exploit but a funny bug. On Mobile, when you tell Robin to build something, you can go back to your farm next to the construction site and save a backup. Reload the backup and Robbin appears there but is completely bugged out. She slides through your farm, passing through anything she encounters and does her hammer animation at light speed every so often.
the out of bounds glitch is actually useful to catch high quality fish easier! (since IIRC it's based on distance from land) just go out of bounds on the beach and walk all the way south and enjoy your gold quality fish
If you get enough hearts with Abigail for her to show up in the mines sometimes, the flag for having already talked to her resets when you leave the mines, allowing you to very quickly repeat the name duplication if she’s at or near an elevator
@@hadarhai7864 Sometimes, once you have a certain amount of hearts with her, Abigail shows up in the mines. You can talk to her, and her dialogue is relatively short and includes your name. By leaving and re-entering the mines, you can have the same short conversation again, as she'll still be on that level of the mines. If it happens to be near an elevator, you can use this for efficient name-based item duplication.
@GamerZoneSpeakingYou need to have 10 hearts with Abby and saw her 10 heart event. She's on the 20th floor of the Mines everytime it rains. It's understandable that not everyone knows this, especially it requires that Abigail is given a bouquet.
You actually don't need to befriend Marnie to get the mayor's shorts. Just craft a staircase, swap it out for your pants, and it will turn into trimmed lucky purple shorts. These shorts function exactly as the ones in Marnie's room do. Once you give the shorts back to the mayor, the ones in Marnir's room disappear.
What if you do this and ALSO get the ones from Marnie's? Will you have multiple shorts? Or simply doing it more than once. 🤔 Could you, in theory, give one pair to Lewis, put another in the governor's soup, and display another at the produce showcase? (and any other use I'm not aware of) I intended to go through these in different game files, but now I want to try if I can do it all at once 😂
There's one niche use for the out of bounds glitch that I used in my personal playthrough. I was romancing Emily but didnt have the upgraded axe. I was supposed to meet her in the hidden forest which is blocked by a large stump. I was about to miss our date when i remembered the out of bounds glitch and made it to our date on time- barely!
I know an exploit regarding statue of perfection (the one you get when grandpa gives you 4 lit candles) I will quote the wiki: When the player's inventory is full, using the pickaxe to pick up the placed statue will not add it to inventory. If the player right-clicks Grandpa's Shrine at this time, they can obtain another Statue Of Perfection. Players can obtain infinite Statues Of Perfection by repeating the process. This method combined with the mining 10 blacksmith skill will get you rich in no time!
Since the legend fish is the most expensive item in the game (and sells more with angler) marry one of the NPCS that says your name after a gift and make your name [163][373][74]. Its Golden pumpkin (universal love) Legend (most expensive item) and prismatic shard (bonus). It really helps boost the game. (You can add starfruit to your name)
Legend is only most expensive if you can get it at better than standard quality... the base price is beaten by the Tiger Slime Egg in 1.5 (item code [857])
I remember the most known exploit being the task fishing, where if you clicked the task menu while casting the line, the fishing was still going but time stopped, so you could get an insane amount of fishes. This also worked with passing out after 2AM so everyone exploited the skull caverns
Interesting fact instead of using a chair to get the shorts take a staircase and because it has the same item code as the shorts you can place it on your pants slot and it turns it into the shorts

Also, you can get into the opposite gender locker room in the sauna from the pool area by just holding up and repeatedly closing the pop-up message. It's completely useless and just lets you see what the other locker room looks like without having to make a new character of the opposite gender.
You know that statue of perfection you get from grandpa? If you fill up your inventory and drop that statue on the ground, you can get another one from Grandpa's Shrine. Giving you plenty of iridium ore each day for double the amount!
You can actually do this as many times as you want providing you have the patience for it. Playing on 4-corners with my siblings I did it 6 or 8 times for each of us? It was tough to not auto-grab all the ones that had been dropped and I kept a chest next to the shrine for easy inventory fill up/empty

You know… I’d love to see someone make a video on something very specific: A day (and the list of items required) with a schedule and route to gift the most people a loved gift. Like a super friendship route. I have a hard time maintaining and developing my friendships
Give a piece of fruit (or if ambitious, specific character's loved gifts) and go to the bar on Friday. Leave early enough and you can catch the kids, Lena, Jodi, and Caroline before they go home and the majority of the rest of the town is in the bar.
I have done this before! it was quite difficult finding everyone, but what I did was find one item each npc liked, and placed them in the order of how many hearts i had with each npc, from lowest to highest. ie i would give leah or haley gifts first because i had no hearts with them etc. and i would do this until there was no items left in my inventory
When scamming Pierre you only need to reset your profession once if you reset it the second day right before buying back the goods, and at night take artisan back immediately because between resetting and sleeping you have no profession, no need to waste money on setting it to something else
You can also get as many Statues of Perfection as you want! If you fill up your inventory (try to put one useless item in your inventory that you can throw away), you can mine your statue with the pickaxe, and since your inventory is full you won't pick it up. Then you can head back to Grandpa's Shrine and pick up a new one, since the game doesn't think you've done that yet! It works like a charm, I have 6 currently.
If you use the out of bounds glitch at mr quis place before its unlocked, the bouncer will get mad and place a mega bomb, it teleports you inside the building in bounds.
I use item codes 645 (Iridium Sprinkler) and 74 (Prismatic Shard) in combination with either 749 (Omni Geode) or 848 (Cinder Shard) for my character name. Elliot, Shane, Maru, and Abigail all say your name when gifting a favored item (Prismatic Shard). Marry one of these four to get your name spoken at least once daily (upon gifting the shard) later on. Elliot when married will also go outside of his house on the beach every Monday and infinitely say your name until I believe 5pm. At something like 6 hearts, the Mayor Lewis will say your name on repeat for the two 3 digit items Friday and Sunday nights in the Saloon and Gus will say your name infinitely on certain days at 10 hearts. The item code can also be used for one off by naming farm animals purchased via Marnie. other useful codes for one offs: Dwarf Scroll I: 96 Dwarf Scroll II: 97 Dwarf Scroll III: 98 Dwarf Scroll IV: 99 Ancient Seeds (one the seed, the other the artifact): 114, 449
Switch version is behind on updates, so we don’t get radioactive bars selling for the blacksmith perk or the guaranteed treasure chest at floor 100 but the nuts still works
another mobile exploit, at least for chromebook: Eat a food with a buff: for example, a stack of pancakes. Backup and quit, then start where you left off. The buff carries over (so now you'll have level 12 foraging) but you can eat another pancake and get level 14 foraging. You can do this infinitely and get ridiculous amounts of blackberries and salmon berries it's so fun.
My favorite fact about Stardew is some of the exploits are intentionally left in the game because Ape though they were amusing. Also, the index is in the wiki and every other day the bartender will say your name every single time you talk to him. Prismatic Shards, Legend Fish, and Iridium Sprinkler are my go to names. Your farm name and names of your animals and the name of your favorite thing to think about work too. For example if your favorite thing is the item index for the item that increases your energy, every time you use one you get another one. This is a bug Ape is well aware of and thought it was hilarious so he left it in since it's a single player game. It's one of the OGs.
You can go out of bounds by the mines by placing a chair behind the minecart which mean you can gain both the gold scythe and potentially some iridium from the quarry. I was going to use this to get iridium ore of one of the remixed bundles however no node spawned

If you are having trouble with qi's skull cavern or dangers of the deep quest. Have a 2nd player place the stairs, no negatives to you. ( I needed the autopetters I have too many animals 🤣)
I know another (pretty common) out of bounds one, you just gotta take a chair with you, and use the scythe to go out of bounds at the place where you would usually load from robin's shop to the community center, then walk over to the quarry to get there without the junimo's help repairing the bridge, or get to the mines before they're unlocked.
The Legend [163], Prismatic Shard [74], Deluxe Retaining Soil [920], Island Warp Totem [886], Tomato [256]. Playing around with this I’ve accidentally-Ed myself into a red cabbage, prismatic jelly, an arctic shard and most useless of all, a parsnip.
The item name exploit used on a chicken allowed me to fix my Birdie quest where the Photo went missing from my inventory and didn't end up in the lost and found. Was so worried I was locked out of it, but the item brackets was actually a game saver lol.
For the index names, you mention calling Clint, but you missed the real gem. Gus. While he's working, he will ALWAYS say your name when telling you what the daily special is. The only requirement is that the Saloon is open... Which it is most nights.
I just used the out of bound glitch to gain access to the mountain peak above the train station. There is nothing to do up here either, but it at least cured my curiosity
You can duplicate the Iridium statue you get from Grandpa’s Evaluation. All you have to do is place the statue(s), ensure your inventory is completely full (full stacks not required), hit the statue so it is able to be picked up, interact with the shrine, and get your new statue. I have 10 of these things, and they just make crafting so much easier with a steady income of about 50 iridium ore per day.
I have a neat mobile one. During the last week of a season when you’ll usually harvest tea leaves, after you harvest the leave just save backup and quit to title screen. When you re enter the game you should be able to harvest the tea leave again. Good to harvest lots of tea leaves
Best mobile glitch is buying slime from krobus and turning them into eggs and then selling them in the bin. Its free money. Also makes grinding for slime eggs much easier if you have lots of presses
The best combo is 163, 166, 74 and it gives you the legend, a prismatic shard, and a treasure chest. You can also do this glitch by spam talking to Gus, as he says your name infinitely sometimes
to get more than one statue of perfection, you can fill your inventory and pickaxe the one you have. since it doesnt technically exist when its dropped, you can get another one
To my knowledge I'm the first person to have found Chair Clip. It was maybe half an hour after 1.5 released, playing some multiplayer with buddies, and I used it to clip past a WIP silo. For the next hour or so we tried to clip into the quarry early on another save to no avail, but then Bumpy tried it from inside the normal mines and got a method that worked. Then he posted it on Reddit and it blew up; good times. I looked around and didn't see anybody else mentioning it anywhere before that post. I also found a very interesting exploit semi-recently that allows you to break some interactions with NPCs, etc. Haven't found any good uses for it yet aside from forcing festival areas to load as normal on festival day, but hey, still neat stuff. You can also use it to eat food on the bus or permanently delete items from your inventory if that's more your speed. Edit: you can also use Chair Clip in one of the corners of the second house upgrade. It's pretty useless but still fun. Also, getting horses inside is fun too.
another out-of-bounds glitch you can do actually can be done in the railroad/spa area. If you go out of bounds in the spa area's loading zone, you can get to the mountain early. it is very finicky and sometimes you just won't clip through.
So, thing about the "restock" on mobile, you actually need to do a save backup and then get back in to get the "refilled" options on some of the merchants (kinda forgot if you can use it on Krobus before you buy his Stardrop). Also, you can use Save Backups as well to be able to "speak again" to the villagers (if you're using the item ID name exploit). No, it does not let you gift people again (which, btw, if you're also using the exploit, your main targets should be Abigail, Maru, Shane, and Elliott since those four ALWAYS say your name when you give them a Loved gift).
Gus is the best character BECAUSE you can abuse his words like "hey (here your name), you always welcome here" or smthg and THIS is where your tag-name is mostly useful
You can actually use the out of bounds exploit to access the secret woods before you have the axe to break the stump, although the chair exploit is easier. You can also use it to access the right side of the beach before unlocking the bridge.
7:42 on the first day of spring every year gus says your name, and when you talk to gus in the solon when he's at the counter you can talk to him infinitely. if you have the patience and you have the ids of a stardrop, treasure chest and legend you can get stacks and stacks of those items on day one.

I don't know what version it was, but in my first playthrough of stardew, I got infinite coffee from the midnight festival thingy at the beach. I'd spend the whole day farming coffee, and get about a hundred a day and that'd give me speed boots for mining. More recently I tried, and now you only get one coffee per day, it's quite tragic, I miss it!
If you combine exploit 2 and 4 then you can place a chair above the fence behind the log and get into the forest behind the traveling cart. idk what this is useful for but it is there

I actually have a nother exploit for mobile. If you talk to your spouse when they make breakfast, you can save backup, then close the game, then you can reopen it, go back to that save point and grab the food again. It's good if you need energy.
I remember using the out-of-bounds exploit in the mines to walk over to the entrance area for the cave in the quarry. I then exited the area, tricked my friend, and then got the scythe from the quarry(just for fun). At the time, I had the mine carts already, so I just exited that way. I also got two diamonds from the quarry.
one of my favorite exploits was the old item duplication one. you needed a full inventory and a chest with an item in it (we’ll say the item was the gold pumpkin because it’s easy to get), you’d open the chest and pick up the item and click the sort button and golden pumpkins would just come spitting out of the chest. it was best for making money because the glitch was super weird and the amounts of items per stack would change depending on how many you have in your inventory (if you had one slot for pumpkins it would be like 60 in the stack, if you had 2 it would be like 500 per stack). it was patched in 1.5, but it was hilarious. i remember getting to a point where i’d made so much money from golden pumpkins that the game just straight up deleted it all and the total earnings said i had a negative amount of money in total.
Theres also the infinite geode glitch in mobile. Drag an item into another inventory slot (or the same one) then press the anvil then a geode will apear on the anvil and be cracked while you still have yours in the inventory. 1 geode can be cracked multiple times.
For the duplication glitch it's actually better to call gus because he is open later and most of his replies include your name. Also it's only one text box instead so you only need to tap twice to dismiss it before calling him again for more. This glitch is actually very fun, my first time trying it I chose the item codes for the stardrop, iridium sprinkler and the legend. Infinite energy, no need for watering and once you have enough of all the items you can just sell all the extras for amazing profits :)
I just discovered a useful chair skip: if you use it to get around the minecart in the mines, you can just walk out of bounds and around to the entrance to the Quarry mine early! You also need to use the chair to get back in and out of bounds to escape. You can also get to the Dwarf early, but you won't be able to talk to him unless you're like me and never upgrade your pickaxe before getting the Dwarvish Book.
12:11 In Mobile there's one I found when you want to get Full friendship with a cow or a goat fill you whole inventory you can do this with every time if you have a lot of them and after that try milking the animals you still get friendship but doesn't register that you got the milk via tricking the game that the cow hasn't been milk meaning you can Max that cow or goat
Addition to the out of bounds cliping, there is one loading zone that you can't normally reach during gameplay that can be reached with the scyth swinging (or sword I believe?): The changing room of the opposite gender of your character. I think it only works from inside the bath room, but you can swing through the message that blocks you and eventually walk into the loading zone and go in the normally blocked off room! Not really useful for anything tho
btw regarding THE CHAIR, going out of bounds is another way to get into the secret woods early, and you can get back out, although the limited space between the log and loading zone make getting the right direction pretty tricky.
One use of the scythe/sword exploit on ginger island (as of 1.6) is going out of bounds on the island south before building the resort and entering the southeast loading zone.
You didn't mention the Ice Cream exploit, I'm a little surprised. Any NPC that stands behind the counter at the Ice Cream Stand activates the ability to buy ice cream, no matter the time, day, or season. Most people use their horse but if you have a slime incubator you can block the exit of the stand and use it to hatch a slime and it'll work.
I already 100%-ed this game. Having beat Fector's Challenge, it gets harder and harder the further you progress. Saving and loading would lose the rhythm you get into and so the later levels would still be pretty tough to just jump into. Not having to start over at the beginning would definitely be helpful though. IIRC, there are random drops that may or may not drop the same with your saved game. So you might get bad RNG stored in your save file and still have to start over anyway.
You can use the chair glitch in order to get out of bounds in the mines entrance, go behind the minecart and walk a couple screens to the right before finding a room, use the chair to glitch into that room and now you're in the quarry.
The restock shop(on mobile)is very OP, I literally filled my greenhouse with ancient seeds in just 1 day, when I got lucky and the traveling cart sells ancient seeds.
With the out of hounds glitch if you are in the area with the spa go out of bounds you can go up to the final cliff area jowever theres a unique cutscene with mr qi and a wierd veiw
I think there is a difference between a glitch and an exploit. A glitch is almost like a bug that was totally unintended and breaks the game, while an exploit is more like "exploiting" built in features in ways that were unintended by the developer.
you can improve item name duplication, how you can do this? Its very easy you need to have only one free space in your inventory and you buy a chicken and name it [item that you want to get for example 434(stardrop) ][102][100] and you will start to getting many of this items that you wanted to get in the free space.

@bobb nope, don't think so. And I don't think horses can go into buildings anyway.
Sandy also sells Ice Cream on Sundays any season and it's 10g cheaper than on the stand, if you don't want to bother with this exploit.

Interesting exploit I found with my friend, if you get on a horse and someone else uses the horse flute at the same time it teleports you to a completely different area, we found that if you jump on the horse at the top right of Linus’s tent you can get to the summit without perfection (and I don’t think it matters where the person is using the horse flute from)

If you quickly use returning septer while getting up onto horse. It will teleport the horse with you to the location that you are currently standing in a map. (For eg, If you are standing in the middle of pelican town, it will teleport you to middle of the farm. Sometime it will teleport you to out of bound or place that you can get out like fences or high differences.)
I wonder if that's just on PC, if you try to call your horse but somebody is riding away on it, the fleet will tell you you can't call a horse while it's in use. Doesn't do anyting

One chair skip that I never see anyone mention, despite how useful it could theoretically be, is to clip through the barrier blocking the Mutant Bug Lair in the sewers. You can use it to get the Dark Talisman early and unlock the Witch's Swamp & the ability to build obelisks, Junimo Huts, etc. without finishing the Community Center. Granted, you're probably well on your way to finishing the Community Center by the time you can access the sewers, but I still think it's a fun one!

@@caritahearts2405 the vanilla bundles are awful. When I do a new play through I do remixed bundles and the remixed mines rewards for extra randomness. Albeit some of the remixed bundles are also awful (I’m talking about the master fisher and the sticky bundle) BUT some of the harder vanilla bundles can be replaced by much easier bundles such as the animal/artisan bundle being replaced by the garden bundle and the fish farmer bundle. Or the dreadfully awful dye bundle requiring a red cabbage which the entire bundle can be replaced OR the red cabbage can be replaced by an iridium bar. The treasure hunters bundle is also pretty hard but not as hard as the master angler bundle.
The chair skip an also be used to access the quarry day 1 if you place the chair next to the mine cart in the mines and walk to the right (make sure you have some other way of getting home) I think it also can be used to access the desert, although I am not 100% sure, since I think the quarry mine, the regular mines and the skull caverns all share a map you just don’t see the other parts.

This is not an exploit but a funny bug.
On Mobile, when you tell Robin to build something, you can go back to your farm next to the construction site and save a backup. Reload the backup and Robbin appears there but is completely bugged out. She slides through your farm, passing through anything she encounters and does her hammer animation at light speed every so often.
the out of bounds glitch is actually useful to catch high quality fish easier! (since IIRC it's based on distance from land) just go out of bounds on the beach and walk all the way south and enjoy your gold quality fish
If you get enough hearts with Abigail for her to show up in the mines sometimes, the flag for having already talked to her resets when you leave the mines, allowing you to very quickly repeat the name duplication if she’s at or near an elevator

@@hadarhai7864 Sometimes, once you have a certain amount of hearts with her, Abigail shows up in the mines. You can talk to her, and her dialogue is relatively short and includes your name. By leaving and re-entering the mines, you can have the same short conversation again, as she'll still be on that level of the mines. If it happens to be near an elevator, you can use this for efficient name-based item duplication.

You actually don't need to befriend Marnie to get the mayor's shorts. Just craft a staircase, swap it out for your pants, and it will turn into trimmed lucky purple shorts. These shorts function exactly as the ones in Marnie's room do. Once you give the shorts back to the mayor, the ones in Marnir's room disappear.
What if you do this and ALSO get the ones from Marnie's? Will you have multiple shorts? Or simply doing it more than once. 🤔
Could you, in theory, give one pair to Lewis, put another in the governor's soup, and display another at the produce showcase? (and any other use I'm not aware of)

There's one niche use for the out of bounds glitch that I used in my personal playthrough. I was romancing Emily but didnt have the upgraded axe. I was supposed to meet her in the hidden forest which is blocked by a large stump. I was about to miss our date when i remembered the out of bounds glitch and made it to our date on time- barely!

I know an exploit regarding statue of perfection (the one you get when grandpa gives you 4 lit candles) I will quote the wiki:
When the player's inventory is full, using the pickaxe to pick up the placed statue will not add it to inventory. If the player right-clicks Grandpa's Shrine at this time, they can obtain another Statue Of Perfection. Players can obtain infinite Statues Of Perfection by repeating the process.
This method combined with the mining 10 blacksmith skill will get you rich in no time!

Since the legend fish is the most expensive item in the game (and sells more with angler) marry one of the NPCS that says your name after a gift and make your name [163][373][74]. Its Golden pumpkin (universal love) Legend (most expensive item) and prismatic shard (bonus). It really helps boost the game. (You can add starfruit to your name)
Legend is only most expensive if you can get it at better than standard quality... the base price is beaten by the Tiger Slime Egg in 1.5 (item code [857])

I remember the most known exploit being the task fishing, where if you clicked the task menu while casting the line, the fishing was still going but time stopped, so you could get an insane amount of fishes. This also worked with passing out after 2AM so everyone exploited the skull caverns
Interesting fact instead of using a chair to get the shorts take a staircase and because it has the same item code as the shorts you can place it on your pants slot and it turns it into the shorts

Name your farm [261][74] and save the warp and the shard until the first Thursday, when you can buy Deluxe Speed Grow from Sandy and take the shard to that circle to get the Galaxy Sword.
Another benefit of getting into the secret woods early is that the slimes there can drop mahogany seeds, which drop hardwood when chopped down.
Also, you can get into the opposite gender locker room in the sauna from the pool area by just holding up and repeatedly closing the pop-up message. It's completely useless and just lets you see what the other locker room looks like without having to make a new character of the opposite gender.
You know that statue of perfection you get from grandpa? If you fill up your inventory and drop that statue on the ground, you can get another one from Grandpa's Shrine. Giving you plenty of iridium ore each day for double the amount!
You can actually do this as many times as you want providing you have the patience for it. Playing on 4-corners with my siblings I did it 6 or 8 times for each of us? It was tough to not auto-grab all the ones that had been dropped and I kept a chest next to the shrine for easy inventory fill up/empty

Give a piece of fruit (or if ambitious, specific character's loved gifts) and go to the bar on Friday. Leave early enough and you can catch the kids, Lena, Jodi, and Caroline before they go home and the majority of the rest of the town is in the bar.
I have done this before! it was quite difficult finding everyone, but what I did was find one item each npc liked, and placed them in the order of how many hearts i had with each npc, from lowest to highest. ie i would give leah or haley gifts first because i had no hearts with them etc. and i would do this until there was no items left in my inventory
Just plant fruits trees around the edges of your greenhouse and give people fruit...no one doesn't like fruit. Easiest way to lvl friendships.
When scamming Pierre you only need to reset your profession once if you reset it the second day right before buying back the goods, and at night take artisan back immediately because between resetting and sleeping you have no profession, no need to waste money on setting it to something else
You can also get as many Statues of Perfection as you want! If you fill up your inventory (try to put one useless item in your inventory that you can throw away), you can mine your statue with the pickaxe, and since your inventory is full you won't pick it up. Then you can head back to Grandpa's Shrine and pick up a new one, since the game doesn't think you've done that yet! It works like a charm, I have 6 currently.
If you use the out of bounds glitch at mr quis place before its unlocked, the bouncer will get mad and place a mega bomb, it teleports you inside the building in bounds.
I use item codes 645 (Iridium Sprinkler) and 74 (Prismatic Shard) in combination with either 749 (Omni Geode) or 848 (Cinder Shard) for my character name. Elliot, Shane, Maru, and Abigail all say your name when gifting a favored item (Prismatic Shard). Marry one of these four to get your name spoken at least once daily (upon gifting the shard) later on. Elliot when married will also go outside of his house on the beach every Monday and infinitely say your name until I believe 5pm. At something like 6 hearts, the Mayor Lewis will say your name on repeat for the two 3 digit items Friday and Sunday nights in the Saloon and Gus will say your name infinitely on certain days at 10 hearts.
The item code can also be used for one off by naming farm animals purchased via Marnie.

Eat a food with a buff: for example, a stack of pancakes. Backup and quit, then start where you left off. The buff carries over (so now you'll have level 12 foraging) but you can eat another pancake and get level 14 foraging. You can do this infinitely and get ridiculous amounts of blackberries and salmon berries it's so fun.

My favorite fact about Stardew is some of the exploits are intentionally left in the game because Ape though they were amusing.
Also, the index is in the wiki and every other day the bartender will say your name every single time you talk to him. Prismatic Shards, Legend Fish, and Iridium Sprinkler are my go to names. Your farm name and names of your animals and the name of your favorite thing to think about work too. For example if your favorite thing is the item index for the item that increases your energy, every time you use one you get another one.
This is a bug Ape is well aware of and thought it was hilarious so he left it in since it's a single player game. It's one of the OGs.
You can go out of bounds by the mines by placing a chair behind the minecart which mean you can gain both the gold scythe and potentially some iridium from the quarry. I was going to use this to get iridium ore of one of the remixed bundles however no node spawned

I know another (pretty common) out of bounds one, you just gotta take a chair with you, and use the scythe to go out of bounds at the place where you would usually load from robin's shop to the community center, then walk over to the quarry to get there without the junimo's help repairing the bridge, or get to the mines before they're unlocked.
The Legend [163], Prismatic Shard [74], Deluxe Retaining Soil [920], Island Warp Totem [886], Tomato [256]. Playing around with this I’ve accidentally-Ed myself into a red cabbage, prismatic jelly, an arctic shard and most useless of all, a parsnip.

The item name exploit used on a chicken allowed me to fix my Birdie quest where the Photo went missing from my inventory and didn't end up in the lost and found. Was so worried I was locked out of it, but the item brackets was actually a game saver lol.

While he's working, he will ALWAYS say your name when telling you what the daily special is. The only requirement is that the Saloon is open... Which it is most nights.

I just used the out of bound glitch to gain access to the mountain peak above the train station. There is nothing to do up here either, but it at least cured my curiosity
You can duplicate the Iridium statue you get from Grandpa’s Evaluation. All you have to do is place the statue(s), ensure your inventory is completely full (full stacks not required), hit the statue so it is able to be picked up, interact with the shrine, and get your new statue. I have 10 of these things, and they just make crafting so much easier with a steady income of about 50 iridium ore per day.

I have a neat mobile one. During the last week of a season when you’ll usually harvest tea leaves, after you harvest the leave just save backup and quit to title screen. When you re enter the game you should be able to harvest the tea leave again. Good to harvest lots of tea leaves

Best mobile glitch is buying slime from krobus and turning them into eggs and then selling them in the bin. Its free money. Also makes grinding for slime eggs much easier if you have lots of presses
The best combo is 163, 166, 74 and it gives you the legend, a prismatic shard, and a treasure chest. You can also do this glitch by spam talking to Gus, as he says your name infinitely sometimes
I find it kinda funny if you spam animation cancel with a fishing rod it freezes the player mid-cast while able to walk around.

to get more than one statue of perfection, you can fill your inventory and pickaxe the one you have. since it doesnt technically exist when its dropped, you can get another one
To my knowledge I'm the first person to have found Chair Clip. It was maybe half an hour after 1.5 released, playing some multiplayer with buddies, and I used it to clip past a WIP silo. For the next hour or so we tried to clip into the quarry early on another save to no avail, but then Bumpy tried it from inside the normal mines and got a method that worked. Then he posted it on Reddit and it blew up; good times. I looked around and didn't see anybody else mentioning it anywhere before that post.
I also found a very interesting exploit semi-recently that allows you to break some interactions with NPCs, etc. Haven't found any good uses for it yet aside from forcing festival areas to load as normal on festival day, but hey, still neat stuff. You can also use it to eat food on the bus or permanently delete items from your inventory if that's more your speed.
Edit: you can also use Chair Clip in one of the corners of the second house upgrade. It's pretty useless but still fun. Also, getting horses inside is fun too.

another out-of-bounds glitch you can do actually can be done in the railroad/spa area. If you go out of bounds in the spa area's loading zone, you can get to the mountain early. it is very finicky and sometimes you just won't clip through.
So, thing about the "restock" on mobile, you actually need to do a save backup and then get back in to get the "refilled" options on some of the merchants (kinda forgot if you can use it on Krobus before you buy his Stardrop).
Also, you can use Save Backups as well to be able to "speak again" to the villagers (if you're using the item ID name exploit). No, it does not let you gift people again (which, btw, if you're also using the exploit, your main targets should be Abigail, Maru, Shane, and Elliott since those four ALWAYS say your name when you give them a Loved gift).
Gus is the best character BECAUSE you can abuse his words like "hey (here your name), you always welcome here" or smthg

You can actually use the out of bounds exploit to access the secret woods before you have the axe to break the stump, although the chair exploit is easier. You can also use it to access the right side of the beach before unlocking the bridge.
7:42 on the first day of spring every year gus says your name, and when you talk to gus in the solon when he's at the counter you can talk to him infinitely. if you have the patience and you have the ids of a stardrop, treasure chest and legend you can get stacks and stacks of those items on day one.

I don't know what version it was, but in my first playthrough of stardew, I got infinite coffee from the midnight festival thingy at the beach. I'd spend the whole day farming coffee, and get about a hundred a day and that'd give me speed boots for mining. More recently I tried, and now you only get one coffee per day, it's quite tragic, I miss it!
If you combine exploit 2 and 4 then you can place a chair above the fence behind the log and get into the forest behind the traveling cart.

I actually have a nother exploit for mobile. If you talk to your spouse when they make breakfast, you can save backup, then close the game, then you can reopen it, go back to that save point and grab the food again. It's good if you need energy.
I remember using the out-of-bounds exploit in the mines to walk over to the entrance area for the cave in the quarry. I then exited the area, tricked my friend, and then got the scythe from the quarry(just for fun). At the time, I had the mine carts already, so I just exited that way. I also got two diamonds from the quarry.

one of my favorite exploits was the old item duplication one. you needed a full inventory and a chest with an item in it (we’ll say the item was the gold pumpkin because it’s easy to get), you’d open the chest and pick up the item and click the sort button and golden pumpkins would just come spitting out of the chest. it was best for making money because the glitch was super weird and the amounts of items per stack would change depending on how many you have in your inventory (if you had one slot for pumpkins it would be like 60 in the stack, if you had 2 it would be like 500 per stack). it was patched in 1.5, but it was hilarious. i remember getting to a point where i’d made so much money from golden pumpkins that the game just straight up deleted it all and the total earnings said i had a negative amount of money in total.
Theres also the infinite geode glitch in mobile. Drag an item into another inventory slot (or the same one) then press the anvil then a geode will apear on the anvil and be cracked while you still have yours in the inventory. 1 geode can be cracked multiple times.
For the duplication glitch it's actually better to call gus because he is open later and most of his replies include your name. Also it's only one text box instead so you only need to tap twice to dismiss it before calling him again for more. This glitch is actually very fun, my first time trying it I chose the item codes for the stardrop, iridium sprinkler and the legend. Infinite energy, no need for watering and once you have enough of all the items you can just sell all the extras for amazing profits :)
I just discovered a useful chair skip: if you use it to get around the minecart in the mines, you can just walk out of bounds and around to the entrance to the Quarry mine early! You also need to use the chair to get back in and out of bounds to escape.
You can also get to the Dwarf early, but you won't be able to talk to him unless you're like me and never upgrade your pickaxe before getting the Dwarvish Book.

12:11 In Mobile there's one I found when you want to get Full friendship with a cow or a goat fill you whole inventory you can do this with every time if you have a lot of them and after that try milking the animals you still get friendship but doesn't register that you got the milk via tricking the game that the cow hasn't been milk meaning you can Max that cow or goat
Addition to the out of bounds cliping, there is one loading zone that you can't normally reach during gameplay that can be reached with the scyth swinging (or sword I believe?): The changing room of the opposite gender of your character. I think it only works from inside the bath room, but you can swing through the message that blocks you and eventually walk into the loading zone and go in the normally blocked off room! Not really useful for anything tho
no if you just walk in and keep trying to walk in evauntaully for some reason it just lets you in
btw regarding THE CHAIR, going out of bounds is another way to get into the secret woods early, and you can get back out, although the limited space between the log and loading zone make getting the right direction pretty tricky.

You didn't mention the Ice Cream exploit, I'm a little surprised. Any NPC that stands behind the counter at the Ice Cream Stand activates the ability to buy ice cream, no matter the time, day, or season. Most people use their horse but if you have a slime incubator you can block the exit of the stand and use it to hatch a slime and it'll work.
If you use the out of bounds glitch at the railroad, you can go to the summit super early, though you don’t get the cutscene
I already 100%-ed this game. Having beat Fector's Challenge, it gets harder and harder the further you progress. Saving and loading would lose the rhythm you get into and so the later levels would still be pretty tough to just jump into. Not having to start over at the beginning would definitely be helpful though. IIRC, there are random drops that may or may not drop the same with your saved game. So you might get bad RNG stored in your save file and still have to start over anyway.
You can use the chair glitch in order to get out of bounds in the mines entrance, go behind the minecart and walk a couple screens to the right before finding a room, use the chair to glitch into that room and now you're in the quarry.

The restock shop(on mobile)is very OP, I literally filled my greenhouse with ancient seeds in just 1 day, when I got lucky and the traveling cart sells ancient seeds.
With the out of hounds glitch if you are in the area with the spa go out of bounds you can go up to the final cliff area jowever theres a unique cutscene with mr qi and a wierd veiw
I think there is a difference between a glitch and an exploit. A glitch is almost like a bug that was totally unintended and breaks the game, while an exploit is more like "exploiting" built in features in ways that were unintended by the developer.
