    This is one of the most underrated bands of the hair band era

      Hate they got lumped into the hair bands. Tesla, Skid Row, and Queensryche deserved their own life. Sad they got phased out when grunge hit.

    The band was named after the inventor Nikoli Tesla. Very good band. If you read the liner notes of the album, it read:" No machines were used in the making of these songs" or something to that effect. Which meant. They didn't use backing tracks, computers, programs, synthesizers or any artificial sounds. They are a great band. Still around and touring today.
    You should listen to " What You Give " or " Little Suzi " . Awesome songs.

    Such a shame that performers aren't talented enough like these guys and many others of their day because they can actually play their own instruments (without a phantom musician behind stage) and they can actually sing their own songs without autotune. That's real talent. ANd to have an actual message or story in the song.

  • @grilledspaghetti
    @grilledspaghetti 5 років тому +4

    These guys were game changers. In the high point of hair metal they had the balls to put blatant classic rock and acoustic (strummed) based songs out there when most metal bands avoided folky elements like the plague. They were a precursor to grunge in that sense. Frank Hannon was a flat out smoker on guitar.

    Tesla is by far the most underrated rock bands of all time! I seen them front row their debut tour 1987 & have seen them front row 11 more times as most recent as 2019!!!
    They sound exactly the same & their shows are out of this world!
    As my man( Jeff Keith;lead vocals) always says… Peace & Love!!!

    Here’s what it’s about ... The Cold War and fear of nuclear war, he starts by talking about a Cowboy bandit - illy the Kid, then Al Capone and John Dillinger “Trying to Take more than their share”, the last verse compares the USA and the USSR to modern day cowboys/gangsters itching for a fight “With their six guns to their sides”. So there you go - try ‘Heavens Trail (No Way Out)’

    The song is about 30 years old. from the 80's. The CGI you mentioned is an actual, physical model. The "Dr. Strange" you mentioned is a movie, "Dr. Strangelove". You need to see it. Kind of a comedic comment on what was going on in the 60's. Another movie you should see is "Failsafe". A lot of classic actors. The song kind of describes, through the different era's, how much of a cowboy we are. from Cowboys, to gangsters, to nuclear arms, we all have that Cowboy mentality. Hope you enjoyed.

    This band was the marker-the center point of what was considered HEAVY METAl (no band was able to match their skill) no matter how much others would gross in sold out tours.. Due to their "ahead of their time" ability to recognize music that set the bar too high ..this vantage point would allow them to stay below the radar unlike Bon Jovi GNR ext when it came to the mainstream..so they became a legend only recognized by those few who would buy their albums or cassettes. The irony is that they are still with us..still below the radar and like a lyric on one of theis songs " still kickin ass...

    A band nobody really talks about, but is a MUST WITNESS is STEELHEART.
    "I'll Never Let You Go" is a good one. But "Can't Stop Me Lovin' You" is a little rockier and more riffy. "Love Ain't Easy" is also a crazy good one.
    Milijenko Matijevic is one of the greatest male singers EVER! His vocal range is still insane even to this day (where high singing male singers are becoming more numbersome). You must witness this band. I'd start with "Love Ain't Easy" though. Then make your picks on the other songs for later videos.
    He hits notes that even some Sopranos struggle to hit.

    A lot of the bands big hits have been shared below, but they have another one, on their 1994 Bust a Nut album that is just ROCKIN' from the get go. It was doomed from the beginning, because of the damn Grunge sound takin' over, but they (Jeff & Tommy) wrote a song called "Solution," that Frank Hannon just smokes on the 6 string!!
    Mother Nature has been kickin' the planets ass for quite a few years now and Jeff & Tommy wrote this over 26 years ago. Give this one a listen.
