First time I've heard anyone say they're not sold on George Michael's vocals lol. He had plenty of power in his voice he just wasn't the type of artist to showboat and belt out on every song. He was a proper singer.
George was a musical genius, he wrote, sang and produced his own music. Selling around 150 million records throughout his career isn't too shabby 😉 Please listen to his MTV unplugged session from 1996, you will not be disappointed. I liked the sax. George had a great voice, so good in fact, he was considered as a replacement for Freddie Mercury after his death. He did the song "Somebody To Love" at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. (and killed it)
George Michael sang one of Queen's songs along with the rest of the band during Freddie Mercury's tribute concert as well. If anyone could do justice to Freddie's singing, its him.

its not the about the power (ie.. what now a days famous shows like X-factor are promoting), its all about his own style. He is not about notes and pitch but he sings with with the feel and that's what makes listener involve himself in to the story....You wont find many singers with such characteristics.

I’am 52 years old so this music is very famous for me ,it’s just a bangers tune ,just amazing,compare to music from nowadays i preferred old tunes and so far ! Wham and George are printed in my mind! Even club Tropicana is a very good funky tune and unrated! Thanks for sharing

There are two songs from GM's solo years that are really good.
If you liked this song, then you'll probably also like Father Figure (1987) and Jesus To A Child (1996).
Beautiful compositions, especially the latter track (do look for the full length version of Jesus To A Child, which is just under 7 minutes - not the cheap single edit that is a little over 4 minutes).

More songs to delight yourself with: Freedom 90, Cowboys and Angels, Heal the Pain, Waiting for the Day, Jesus to a Child, Fast Love, Spinning the Wheel, Move On, Star People, You Have been Loved. That takes you through his first three albums.
