I’m still a teen but I can’t wait to do a trip like this someday!! This was absolutely gorgeous and I love how you kept a great attitude the whole time. I can’t wait to see more content from you soon :)
I was very pleased when you mentioned packing out the excess cheese goop. So many people just bury it or even just toss it under a bush. Your demonstration of keeping it low impact sets a good example for us all!
Your videos are absolutely awesome👏🏼👍🏼💯🙇🏼♂️ You're a natural🏆🎥📽🎬🎙🏁 I hope that you and your mom will continue sharing adventures together creating priceless memories for as long as y'all are physically able to do so🙏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 Thank you for sharing such personal and special priceless moments with us🙏🏼👍🏼👏🏼
It's so cool that you got to have this amazing trip with your Mom. You've got such a positive attitude and some pretty wicked photography/videography skills. Thanks for the video!
Madison…..another wonderful video. Those mountains and lakes are stunning. The Canadian Rockies are beautiful. Love how you enjoy hiking and exploring the mountains. Keep doing this at your young age because you will be glad you did many years later. These are priceless moments. Old age will creep up, more people later, and sharing time with your mom will be cherished. I hiked and traveled with my dad for years and now he is no longer here but I have the memories. Always remember, life is not about accumulating possessions but about experiences. Wish I could meet you and hike with you. You are truly an amazing woman. Keep the videos coming, I am addicted. Thanks for sharing.
You and your mom have an awesome relationship. I go to the theater (or to the opera … or to concerts _which she is in,_ hurrah!) with my mom several times a month, depending on the season, so usually about 35 to 40 times a year, and it’s great. More of an urban adventure than what you two do, but similar vibe. I’ve always felt bad for people who feel alienated from both of their parents, which is a more common condition to encounter as an adult than I would have expected growing up. It’s great to get along with one’s parent as an adult. Yay you two!
Thanks for the memories. We hiked from Sunshine to Mt Shark back about 10 years ago. Still looks amazing. Thanks again for reminding me how beautiful our hike was.
You were lucky with the weather. I love that area too. Was my "backyard" as I was brought up in Invermere and spent a lot of time hiking and skiing in the Rockies and Purcells.
I've never heard of the place. It rivals Torres de Paine in Chile/Argentina. I wondered where the snow was during that time of year. The larches were splendid in the valley, with the mountains providing a backdrop. I'm glad you dropped the music in future videos. I've seen other videos made after this, and the experience has made them better.
Amazing sunset 🌇. Quite the adventurer you've become. On another note that bridge with the guard rail on one side made me nervous just watching you two walk across it.
Drinking water comment - One problem I keep seeing is people are missing a very simple step. You must ensure that water from the outside of the "dirty" bottle does not run down and drip into your "clean" water bottle. Trust me you only need to know someone personally that has gotten sick from unsafe water to never take a chance again. Either dry the bottle off first or hold it at such an angle to not let untreated water drip into you clean bottle. Great video, Thanks for posting.
Just wow. Thanks for sharing, I saw Assiniboine from Mount Bourgeau, it looks so tempting, but yea, it is 5 days minimum. Or heli, which is very expensive
Hey Madison, hope you are doing fine. Love your video ❤ Your boots look tough.. didnt see them in your gear video. What brand are they? And make longer videos please 😊 most outdoor videos are 30min+ let us enjoy yours a bit longer..
That's pretty impressive hiking 18 miles with that huge backpack. Ya have to be in good shape to do that,. I know for many people hiking that distance emptyhanded would be exhausting.
Great video. I was wondering what exact week you visited Mt. Assiniboine to be able to see the larches during the Fall season? Did you still have to apply for permits for the camp sites? I am interested in going to visit this area, either in July or September 2025.
Wonderful video! Such an amazing backpacking trek eh! I also changed last minute and hiked Mt. Shark to Magog return. But I biked the first 8 kms and then up Assiniboine Pass cuz it wasn’t as high as Wonder Pass. Looks like you and your mom had a spectacular time! 🥾⛰👌🏼
Hi, loved your video! Such a magical place! Was it in October? No reservation required? Seems impossible to get a reservation for Assiniboine campsite. I will be coming from Seattle.
Scenery is unreal

Aw thank you!! Excited for you to experience the same 😊
I’ve spent 60 years hiking and canoeing in the wilderness. I have never seen anything more spectacular than this.
I was very pleased when you mentioned packing out the excess cheese goop. So many people just bury it or even just toss it under a bush. Your demonstration of keeping it low impact sets a good example for us all!
People travel across the world to see views like this and here it is practically in our backyards. Gorgeous.
Your videos are absolutely awesome👏🏼👍🏼💯🙇🏼♂️ You're a natural🏆🎥📽🎬🎙🏁

@@MadisonClysdalee I had to get going the other day so I didn't have time to include how incredibly awesome and down-to-earth your mom is👍🏼🙏🏼👏🏼

Cheers to your mom for raising such a strong and fearless woman.
And Mom is pretty strong herself to be able to hike this trip!
Absolutely loved this video. Loved that you did it with your mom. Great memories!
Wow what a beautiful part of the world. You both are legends hiking that with those heavy packs!

Wow, that really is a gorgeous place! I need to travel north of the border and do this hike. Cheers!
Amazing sunset 🌇. Quite the adventurer you've become. On another note that bridge with the guard rail on one side made me nervous just watching you two walk across it.
I also have a 9-5 and I'd also love to do this! Thanks for taking us along ❤
As a Canadian living in the US, your videos make me homesick 😮💨
Amaaaaazing scenery! & that Happy Yak Moroccan Feast is a delicious one on the trail, tried it on the WCT. Absolutely enjoy all your vids.
This is absolutely fantabulous Madison, keep it up :)
Your mom is a rockstar! Very cool ladies! Thanks for sharing 🤠

BEAUTIFUL! THANKS FOR SHARING!
That is such gorgeous country there👏🏼👍🏼🙏🏼 I've always wanted to go there. If I remember correctly that peak is around 11,800+ feet
I had to look it up because I used to know exactly. 11,870 feet. I'm still going some day. I miss living close to the mountains 😩
That's AWESOME that you hike with your Mom :)

Tu país es muy lindo...😊
Thank for this great, informative, inspiring video! Question: what was the title of the book you read that discussed misogi?
Thank you 😊. It’s the comfort crisis by Michael Easter

beauty sunset
when did you do the hike? 28 Oct? Booked this hike for the long weekend in October (7-9), just wondering if there will be snow already...Thanks!
Hi, loved your video! Such a magical place! Was it in October? No reservation required? Seems impossible to get a reservation for Assiniboine campsite. I will be coming from Seattle.
No apologies for the Bear Scat! Inexperienced hikers, like myself, find this material very helpful and possibly lifesaving!
wow so nice
❤❤❤ nice
Hello Madison, what is that book about Misogi? Nice video btw 🤙
Is it Ikigai?
Comfort Crisis
40lb loadout is no joke. I go ultralight and the difference between even 25lbs and 30lbs is a lot.
🌍
Grabing baktas jud diay walay tulogan😅
You're really strong!
Did you see any bear ?
Did you encounter any bears ?
What was your bear strategy ?
Did you carry firearms in case of bear attack ?
Min: 10:06 wow,wow,wow!!!!

Hi Madison clysdale
Hope you’re not cooking too near your tent for bear country.
Hi from india
I can’t read the subtitles at the bottom, too quick and the white letters blend into the background. Great adventure!!
mommy
I'd avoid pouring hot water into any plastic container.Plastic leaches all kinds of nasty chemicals into your food. This goes for microwaving also.
Pretty sure those reusables are made with that in mind. Like no more bpa in Nalgene and bike bottles.
Amazing video as usual, please could you tell me which Misogi book you read?🤎
Thanks!
