Chris, thank you so much for posting so many videos. I'm in the midwest of the US and all of our gold is glacial. Hundreds of hours of test panning and it all leads to a source 400 miles and 20,000 years ago. I have had some luck on upper benches, but not nearly as much as inside bends and 90° turns. Again, thanks....and I do give my dog a scratch after every video.

Also we have 2 American fox hounds, we rescued out of Louisiana. They get scratches too.

Nice man. Always good to find those spots. I haven’t found many down my way…. Yet. 😂. But I did find the other day one little pocket in bedrock that had about 2 scoops of dirt and have me 0.26g. I tested so much of the area and got skunked every pan (about 15 full pans) but that one. Ya never know unless you test.

I would quite enjoy chasing gold around those little gully's. I am getting too old for the size of cobbles I have to contend with : D

That's awesome! You need to dig a deep hole with a v shaped channel leading to it so next time it rains you'll have heaps of water.

Hey man. You find a halfways decent spot. Or see a spot u wanna try. Just stack sum rocks and lay a piece of plastic in it. & go up after a big storm heck you could get fancy and channel a lil run off ta collect as well & what a 20×20 piece weigh 😜🤙✌

@@SpudEngineering I take it that you have some kind of license, which encourages you to find something of value that can be taxed. There should be no hinderance for gathering, you need to stay alive is the argument. You bring a tub to pan in, not to dirty the water. Access to water is a right!

I got into an argument about where gold is found and where gold comes from.... Dude tried to say it's only in bends and low pressure zones.... He couldn't understand that it came from somewhere possibly a straight or up the hillside

Are you allowed to use a Vacume (gas/battery) on the bedrock and cracks? We use them in Arizona.
