REALLY enjoyed this video, John! Beautifully and skilfully flown, too. Thank you for sharing this flight in the *perfect* Mojave RC playground. It looks almost like a computer simulation, but it's all natural beauty. A bit like the P-47. I bought mine to complete a collection of 1.2m E-flite warbirds (my all-time favourite type and size of RC) and wasn't that particularly struck by its looks. However, once I got it airborne, *everything* about my perception of the P-47 changed. This model commands the air and has so much presence, and from that, the real beauty of the P-47 snagged this Brit. I love mine and we can all see you adore yours, John.

Like you, I think the 1.2m size is just about PERFECT, and although I wasn't particularly taken by the P-47's looks (and that horrific thing on the port side near the nose 🤣), I did know that P-47's have a reputation for being superb flyers. WOW, this one didn't let me down one iota!! I'm so glad to hear you like the scenery; there's a special beauty in the starkness of the desert, and flying on a dry lake really frees you up to let rip without fear of anything to crash into (besides terra firma!), and landings are a piece of cake! At first I thought "dang that looks good!" Then I remembered it was Brent's. Lol. That boy don't leave anything stock...lol. Great flying brother! As P-47's go...yours is a looker!
Hah! Yessir, Brent can't leave anything stock! Truth be told, I asked him to dirty it up a bit and he literally knocked this out in 20-30 minutes while I stood there watching. Simply amazing. I love this RC community!!

Hi my friend! This is at Calico Dry Lake, one of the many dry lake beds scattered all throughout the high desert of Southern California. They're perfect RC fields because they are totally wide open, there's nothing to crash into, and if the wind shifts, you simply change your landing direction! Blue skies and happy landings to you!
@@JustwingitRC dude, I’ve been looking for this type of thing for almost a year. I moved to SoCal from TX and haven’t really found a great spot to fly. I’m in the Costa Mesa area, near Newport Beach. Any chance you could share the location of one or two closest to me?
