Wikipedia articles are organized (or disorganized) in all kinds of different ways. It depends on who has worked on them. Showing Shankland's career year-by-year seems much better to me than the way many articles show the careers of chessplayers or athletes. Some are really a mess, the way they jump around.
I find that year by year is usually a bad way to organize a Wikipedia page. It tends to mean that the information is just a list of tournament results, only in a harder-to-read format than a list of tournament results. And that's mostly what Shankland's page is. There's a bit more than just a list, but not a whole lot.
Here are some ideas for an one hour Finegold lecture. I am listing them here. If any of you like any of these, feel free to sponsor. Great players of the present : Daniil Dubov Great players of the present : Wei Yi Great players of the present : Baadur Jobava Great players of the present : Baskaran Adhiban Great players of the present : Levon Aronian Great players of the past : Topalov Best wins against Magnus Carlsen Openings : Halloween Gambit Openings : Muzio Gambit
I guess Jobava is a great player from the past; he completely dropped from the top long ago, he's been a 2500 for a while now. Also, there's already a lecture on Topalov.
@@CakeEatingBear Can't disagree with the Jobava point... Also, never noticed the Topalov lecture (until two seconds ago) probably because it's in the Saint Louis Chess Club channel and not his own channel.
@@RisitasKEKW I've looked at a lot of your comments, and you're always saying you went to school with so and so, and you went to school with this guy and that guy. its just not true. You are a compulsive liar and you need to get some help.
This is a very suspicious lecture. I mean there are and were people out there who are apparently not the favorites of the Finegold clan like Nakamura, Alekhine or Hans Niemann and they get harsh treatment time after time in these lectures but this is the first time Ben is literally stonewalling himself from the subject of the lecture ...
50 min with Ben Finegold, he's Ben
Notice how Ben always says "Great Players of the Past" or "Great Players of the Present". But here he said "greatest games"... suspicious
I heard they had beef. But then Ben went vegan
@@nateshsudarshan3743 That was indeed very noticeable.
I think Shankland exaggerates his lack of talent, but it's clear that he grinds really hard to be as good as he is and I respect the hustle.
Wait. This is an actual video and not Ben dissing Shankland for an hour?
Mostly etcetera.
Btw that's extremely funny to request a video about a guy who Ben trolls all the time.
never noticed. Why diss him?
So glad Ben did the magic hand wave, finally i can be 500 ELO higher without any work
watch the video 10 times for 5000 elo
And I lived long enough to see the day where Ben would do this video
why?
Why not ?
what’s up with Ben and Sam?
This video had a very suspicious ending.
How much did it hurt ben to do this
Sam Shankland is a worthy US Champion and a brilliant communicator.
Who requested this troll lecture for Ben? The answer is fries.

If i were a betting man, I’d guess either Shankland has had a hand in his own page, or his fans are equally as organized as him 😅

Usually a sign of self editing lol.
i seem to recall Sam winning a nice minature in the Colle system in the US Open
Shankly, ridiculous
I guess Ben couldn't help trash talking about Shankland again, that's why the video got cut off.
@@CakeEatingBear cut off? He already dissed the guy for 50min straight. Every sentence drippy of irony
Just ben the fine in the gold bro😭🙏
One of the rare good "US" players that are actualy American

Best wins against Magnus Carlsen is a great idea (especially if you restrict it to games where he gets his ass beat after becoming world champion).

That’s an awesome new camera setup Ben! Is this a Sony?
it is! - Ben's Editor
Ben missted Hans as Top 5 chess player ... NOW Ben has new villian.
Shankland went to my elementary school
this just isn't even true.
@@thomasengel1459 glorietta, look it up... why on earth would i make that up?

Ben not crapping all over Shankland, very suspicious.
The endgame really isn't Shankland's forte! I'm a 1700 and I saw the draw with Kc8 before you mentioned stalemate!
You give a lot of shit to this guy no? Or is that just in live streams.
i wonder how many people's best wins (in terms of how strong the opponent is) are over shakh at this point 😂
Go Sam!
Shankland vs Shankland
He told us to contact his wife.. very suspicious

What's the issue Ben has with Shankland 😅
