Thanks very much Phil and crew, I would love to see a more in depth video on this subject. I just bought the new edition of Mastering Cone 6 Glazes which is great and very helpful but no one explains things like Phil!

So the carefully controlled compression of the glaze caused by the clay shrinking slightly more creates an effect similar to tempered glass.

There are many glaze recipes designed to craze, the problem is when they are not supposed to craze.

Hola Phil & Crew, much appreciated learning as always. Real life examples included for visuals always appreciated.
Question: I find myself in need of some best practices for making a well pouring teapot, Might that be among the topic you'd tackle here or will we stick more to the ceramic science aspect of things?
