The following scary stories come from people who encountered some deeply disturbing creatures, and lived to tell the tale. Hey Lazy, that first story reminds me of that othrr story you did about the guy who had that "thing" follow him around and whistle at him a few times in his life. He even had the accompanying video where the thing in that canoe whistles at him and then paddles away.

What is the story called?
That first story... the guy and his brother don't want to be dragged into the woods by somebody in the middle of the night, so they camp far away from other people. Is that really solving the problem?
That's like saying you don't want to fall asleep on the beach because you'll get dragged out by the tide, so you swim out into the middle of the ocean and lay on a raft before you go to sleep.
When you're stupid, anything makes sense.

I've noticed that allot of scary story's start out with the line "growing up"
Don't forget that most creatures are 7-8 feet tall

If you watch Let's Read you'll hear ,,I brushed it off" at least once per story. Literally.
"mmm growing up, i lived by a (insert creepy place). i would pass by it every day on my way to school, mmmm but this day in particular was so horrifying that it will never leave the darkest corners of my mind..."
When the whistling started in the first story, I immediately thought:

What am I looking for?
I mean, if you're all the way out there, the chances of running into another human are much slimmer. There's logic to it.
Personally though, I'd just camp in popular camping spots where there's a lot of people around to avoid psycho murderers.

@@atlastpeace First of all, this is the 2nd time I've had to factually correct someone on furries in a comment on a Lazy Masquerade video. 2nd of all, I think that's kind of a funny joke, BUT it also perpetuates the DISGUSTING, offensive stereotype of us being fundamentally sexual. In short, yes, most of us DO like to bring sex into the Furry Fandom. BUT at the same time, you have furries like myself who don't want ANYTHING to do with the sexual aspects of our fandom (well, actually, I do like to joke about them, but encountering them IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING for me personally, and even occasionally a little traumatizing!); we're also the ones who almost no one on Earth acknowledges, yet we certainly exist!

The whistling story sounds similar to the one with the guy who heard whistling from a boat in the middle of a lake whilst watching fireworks (there`s a video of it on youtube as well). Maybe it`s the same creature.

That second story of the Grandma's description of the growling scared the heck out of me. A few nights ago, I heard a growling outside from my upstairs room. I went downstairs, thinking it was a dog or something. I opened the back door where the noise had originally came from. There's a deck there, so anything below 4 feet could be standing in front of it and still be out of sight to me. Even if it was taller, it was around 11 at night, and hard to see more than a few feet in front of me. It's a growl I don't think I'll ever forget. The best similarity was that it sounded like the Deerclops from Don't Starve - the growl it makes before it shows up to let you know it's coming. It was just like that, only just a bit deeper and lower pitched, and much much louder. I've heard many dog growls and am aware of many bear noises and other animals that make growling noises, but it was unlike anything I'd ever heard. It was too sinister, like it was purposely out of a low-budget horror movie with the sole intent of trying to scare me. If it was a friend or someone playing a prank on me, mission accomplished. I didn't stick around - I closed the door and went back to my room.
Damn being Native American the skinwalker stories are nerve racking as hell! Thank you lazy keep it up!

I remember the other whistler story (although I don't remember if you or Be. Busta was the one who read it) and I got chills when the first whistle sounded in the first story. I watched the footage from the other story with the whistler on the boat and that freaked me out. It's stuck with me. Doesn't help that my sister whistles all the time, either.

The Dogman is huge in Michigan and Wisconsin, but has been seen all over the United States and Canada. We even have a whole song about it called "the legend". There's even a missing person's case from the 1800's where the girl that went missing described a wolf man feeding her berries and keeping her warm for the entire night she was gone.

Hey Lazy, I love how you make run of the mill creepypasta stuff entertaining with the intonation and tone of your voice. As someone who has worked in radio and voiceovers (mainly those annoying radio adverts) I really admire other voice artists who have a great command of English. Also, the stories that feature cryptozoology instead of all that Jeff/Slenderman type stuff is far more interesting.
Something i can just relax and listen to after school and mass amounts of homework...

The first story is especially awesome to me because I grew up in North Georgia and I too had a similar experience their. It's beautiful during the day but at night is not somewhere you want to be the whole atmosphere changes. Love all your stories started listening to you instead of watching TV. Helps gets a lot more done

The whistling! Was that you or maybe someone else. Someone had a story of a person stalked by a whistler just like that. They had footage of a river at night , could barely make a shape of a person. What if this is connected?!
First off, awesome video as always, LM! I absolutely adore you and have a large collection of your videos downloaded as both MP4 & MP3 files. The MP3s are for my cell phone so that you keep me company when I'm out walking to either nearby shops or to catch the bus. It takes longer to create the MP3 files for some odd reason, but it's so worth the effort!
Second reason I'm commenting has to do with the first story. It sounds more like "The Whistler" than a Wendigo. It brought to mind a story narrated on multiple channels - yours may have even been one - about a man who had supposedly been stalked all his life & to multiple states by this mysterious whistling man. I couldn't help pointing that out.
Your videos may be a bit less regular than others but you keep the quality of your stories high. Unlike many who tell any old crap.

I usually play either a card game or whatever computer game I'm into at the moment while listening to these kinds of videos. For instance, I'm currently replaying the first Aveyond game. It's the series that got me hooked on RPGs. Since they just added a new game to the series, I thought I'd play through at least one of the old ones before taking on the new one. :-)

the first story, I heard whistles in my friends woods on multiple occasions, and I also took a picture of my friend next to the fire we made. in the picture we saw a humanoid thing about 7 feet up in the tree behind him, we called it the whistling man. I have a few stories about it. and what's crazy is we live right next to the mountains that Jack's river is on.
