I've gott the little brother to this knife called the Astor. It's smaller over all but just as well put together. Always enjoy your content. From 🇨🇦...stay safe and sharp.
The harsey is my favorite knife. Such good quality. The main thing I noticed is running it dry is significantly smoother. Well,I out some benchmade blue lube on the detent ball. It's a little thicker than kpl so I figured that would work better.
both you and Theraputic edge have the Plain SHF .. I love it!! I just now bought the large SHF but the Viking model. It says Til Valhalla on the Lock side.. my Son is a Soldier (USMC Semper Fi) so Ill pass that on to him one day! Cant wait to get it.. I love the jimping.. If you handle the knife ebnough you will wear it down.. It is Hinderer esque I paid $550 but had to have it.. YToure 100% right,, never thought id sau iot either.. Ive comme to like Bronze washers better than Bearings for harder use knives
Try no oil dude. I just put a drop on the detent ball and it's significantly smoother. I have never had a knife that was smoother without any oil. I love how easy the harsey is 2 disassemble and clean.
Nice dude. I wanted the rune one. It the new fir tree one. The only reason I went with the plain stonewashed version is the lack of wear it shows with use. That's something I always think about. I won't keep a knife I don't carry and use. That being said I really like the way the rune version wears. Looks amazing
@@jaredappleseed7037 that's interesting. Not sure where you heard bad things. I own and know multiple people that own them and absolutely love the. Spartan also has an amazing warranty.i would say if you don't have a problem spending that much on a knife and you like the design, just take a leap of faith. Lol. If you have any specific questions about the knife hit me up. I would be happy 2 answer them.
Super nice! Of the 3 less expensive Spartans that came out last year, the Talos, Astor and Pallas, I think the Talos looks the most like this Harsey folder. Now, if they would just do a 3.75"-4" version of that, I'd be all set!
Agreed ! The pallas is an amazing knife though. I would really like 2 see a mid size harsey. Like 3.5". I think they went a little small with the new one. That new les George one is amazing also. The quality for 89$ is amazing. Not sure why,
I just picked up the 2021 watchworks version and love it! Only concern is if Spartan blades warranty covers reanodizing the knife due to normal wear just to restore the awesome graphics. Regardless if they do or not, I really love it
I simply don't get why makers don't go with bearings in a race. What's the price differential between bearings and a "washer"? It can't be much more than a buck; I've priced the bearings, and they AREN'T expensive at all! Like 80 cents each or something like that? I own the large Lone Wolf 3. Probably for close to 25 years! The black coating on the blade either needs replacing or removal, but it's in pretty decent shape. I don't know what they're going for, though. The scales are camo G-10. I carried that thing for years!
That line wolf knife is so bad ass dude. And I really don't think this is a knife for bearings. Allot of knives ,yeah I get it. But this knife was made to be a beast and work horse. Not that bearings can't do that. Hell, look at the socom. I really do think some knives just need washers. Just my opinion of course.maybe with bearings it would be even more epic 🤷🏻♂️
Good call on zero lube...it's scary how much oil some YTubers bathe their pivot & washers with...oil in an unsealed system acts as an attractant to sand, grime, metal particles, etc.

I really don't know how people say something is over priced. Just because you can't afford ,or don't want 2 spend the money on it doesn't make it over priced. Spartan has kept them at pretty much the same price since it came out. And they only have 6 employees at the shop they make the us knives at. I would gladly pay more 2 support a small business that is run by 2 vets and amazing people. Not saying your opinion is wrong. It's your opinion.it can't be wrong. I just strongly disagree. Lol. 👊🏻
I love Spartan Blades. Even their T-shirts use great cotton!
Microtech was my favorite knife company.. then I bought a couple spartan blades.lol.

That lanyard really detracts from the artistic beauty of the knife.
On the list for sure. I have to check one out.

I have the saint michael edition spartan harsey I like it way better then the xm-18 I polished up the washers a little kpl and it's crazy smooth

I have a Spartan Blades Pallas in S45VN and hope to pick up a Harsey Folder
You won't regret it. The pallas is such a cool knife. I've owned 2.
The winner in The Pocket Brick category - Every Medford ever made. The Goliath from Maxace beats this as a knife, but surrenders the Doorstop award.
I'm gonna wait a few years, if they're still around I may buy one
LTK is late with this review. They have been around for a few years.
@@franksalem8580 yah but I still have heard mostly bad things I guess I mean a few years of good things being said about the company

I wonder why they didn't use the pivot bushing from the old school Lone Wolf Harsey. Love the size and looks of a Harsey!

Did you ever figure out that the pivot is T-15?
Yes. Lol ! Geeez
The date of manufacture is under the clip/filler tab if you remove those, excellent piece, loving mine!

Looks good 😃
Thanks Lee
Of course Medford’s have a hell of a drop… it’s a 20lb blade! 😝
Not some of the new ones. Well built knives.
Awesome video... thank you

how did such an expensive piece made it on to the ltk's table yo

If you ever want to trade it off lmk , I might have something to interest you
I have the exact version. What were you thinking about trading? I am curious.
