Thousands of Africans are killed every year by Boko Haram, Al Shabab, and other terrorist groups but BLM (Black lives matter) in the west never speak out to help Africans, or bring attention to the problem. Same with left/liberal media and politicians.
I have hope for the future in Africa, All they need is people to invest, so many people just want jobs, food, why is Elon Building in China, When the People who Need him the most get nothing but trash to burn. You're Hope is the future Sir.
The most interesting part of this series for me was how the guide would say that he himself was shocked by some of the things he saw, as a citizen of Mozambique himself. I would have loved if there was an episode devoted to exploring the lives of the middle class (?) in Mozambique. Most foreigners are aware that there is a lot of poverty in Africa. But seeing a native African talk about living in "a bubble" where he felt removed from the poverty he saw in his own country really makes me curious about the side of Mozambique that he comes from.
As an African I will tell you that most Africans don't live in poverty. There is a middle class but westerners love to see poor Africans living in slums. I used to get angry myself seeing this part of Africa I know nothing about. However, I understand that people like Nick are looking for donations for their charity organisations. So poverty porn is a business for them. If you want to see a different side of Africa watch African UA-camrs such as Wode Maya, Taino, African tigress, and Miss Trudy just to mention a few.
I dont think the middle class is very surprising and it is still probably far below what westerners would describe as middle class you notice he speaks good english this is likely an advantage may mean he can get a higher paying job, he sounds educated and is in good health, I think the inclusion of the world bubble was more for the benefit of nicks channel and the viewing audience I am sure growing up in that country he must have had some idea of what it means to be poor.
The story repeats itself all across our continent. There is so much misery in Africa, and yet so much joy and hope. I hope I live to see things really change.
How can we all come together as one humanity, knowledge, innovation and most importantly love to help address these issues we know what can be done , how we can educate, with great natural actions and engineering to overcome! How do we make this happen? Simply poverty drives crime , Stress drives poor decision making and cultural divides, judgements lead to non compassion. Please let’s change the narrative so common to one of compassion love understanding and most importantly action!

Never ceases to amaze me how kind and welcoming so many of these people are that you interview, despite their circumstances. It would be so easy for people in these situations to resort to selfish, criminal, evil behaviour, and yet they don't.

Interesting video series about Mozambique. I myself have been to Mozambique three times to help with the local drinking water supply. Dear Indigo , back in 2010 I was ready to go to Pemba to teach English voluntarily when the Haitian earthquake happened and I ended up spending 9 years helping set up schools with the local communities. I actually thought I had seen the worse of the worst in the make shift camps all over Haiti, but you have proved me wrong. Mozambiquans have really been abandoned by their own government and the international community, not to mention Portugal who colonised and exploited Mozambique. It is at times like this when my heart breaks for these wonderful trusting people and I feel so much anger that I think reparations would be a small price for Portugal to pay up right now.

I loved this visit, Nick. I loved Edmilson’s words at the end. I love seeing resilience in action, and the beauty of Mozambique and the people of Mozambique. Thank you once again for highlighting people in (what for an Anglo American seems to be) “far flung” places. In fact, places like Mozambique are central to humanity. Much love to you and the people of Mozambique. 💓
The reason is so extremely bad it’s the communist influence of the Frelimo government. 20 years of civil war plus the terrible rule of Samora Marchel from 1975-1986. Plus the white Portuguese were driven out of the country in 1974/75 loosing all the farms and houses that they lived in. They became refugees heading to Portugal around 1974-76
The resilience of many on this continent is what keeps Africa moving, honestly. As for the leaders, they would rather rob us and want no cameras projecting light into the lives as they really are. As usual, great work Indigo!
That shot of the beach was breathtaking! As always, thanks for showing us the world, somewhere I along with many others would likely never get to venture too.
Sitting here watching this while drinking my Starbucks coffee on my balcony of my nice, safe, comfortable apartment in America has left me with so much gratitude. Everytime I watch one of Nick's shocking videos I'm reminded my problems are not real problems. Thank you Nick for documenting these places we would otherwise probably never know of!
@armand4464 Hi, Armand. I have in fact donated to his charities. It was for a charity organized when he went to Brazil. I'm sure you also donated to a few. It's the least we can do, isn't it?
@@armand4464 My aunt worked for a charity dedicated to ending world hunger. She would complain about rich donors not taking her to fancy restaurants. That spoke volumes about her and that organization. I knew a guy from school on Facebook who organized a fundraiser through that organization, and I shared my little anecdote and he unfriended me. Idiot. People in America love learning the hard way. Every time.
The goal is to eradicate middle and working classes in US soon too.. that old hope and change. The USD will lose reserve status in short order and what happens when your "wealth" has no buying power..
Problems are subjective. I've had horrible stuff happen to me in life. I've been assaulted, abused, homeless, addicted, etc and yet I would never assume that people who didn't experience these things don't have problems or reasons to be sad. Sure, some experiences are objectively worse than others. But if you've lived a real nice life and then you have a bad breakup (or whatever) that would feel like the darkest point in your life and would destroy you. I was assaulted by a guy when I was 14 and if I'm really honest, it didn't mess me up much. But being cheated on by my first long term girlfriend gave me pretty long term trust issues. Someone else might have had a different reaction to that situation and that's my point. We all experience different levels of tragedy and yet we all also experience emotional devestation because we all have a different frame of reference. I'm not a big fan of people saying "well you don't live in a literal hellscape so what could you possibly feel sad about". Seems super disingenuous and surface level.
You're a very brave man Nick for traveling up to Cabo Delgado. As a South African who's been to Moz a few times, you get warned by the locals to not go further than Nampula. It's a beautiful country though with some of the most pristine coastlines on the African continent. Next time please show us a lot more of Maputo
Always look forward to your videos, Nick! I really like these longer format ones. I want to see as much of the places as you can share and hear all the stories of the amazing people you meet. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next series!
The resilience of these folks are second to none. They have so little and are smiling. Out here in the west, kids suffer from depression from not getting enough likes on social media.
they are smiling because a rich stranger is pointing a camera at them, and in many places, it's considered rude to complain to strangers. why are you assuming poor people can't act in ways that are polite, instead of baring their souls to whomever comes by?

Such top notch journalism everywhere you go. I love how you are able to show the best of people in sometimes the worst of situations. Plus the white Portuguese were driven out of the country in 1974/75 loosing all the farms and houses that they lived in. They became refugees heading to Portugal around 1974-76
So Happy to see your vidoes again!! Be safe out there 😊
Unbelievable conditions to live under yet the people all smiling and upbeat and friendly especially the children simply amazing GOD BLESS them all !
Totally. Incredible people.
The resilience of many on this continent is what keeps Africa moving, honestly. As for the leaders, they would rather rob us and want no cameras projecting light into the lives as they really are. As usual, great work Indigo!
Thank you so much may God continue to bless you too.
That shot of the beach was breathtaking! As always, thanks for showing us the world, somewhere I along with many others would likely never get to venture too.
Hello Nick. Good to see a new episode. Always a good day to release; Sunday. As always excellent work!!!
Thank you, Russell, a long one this week :)
I pray for your constant safety!!! I have enjoyed your videos for years, and I continue to be gripped each time. I wish you peace 🙏🙏🌻🌻🌻
Many cities in America are starting to look like Mozambique, sadly.
The area looks beautiful, and the people seem friendly. It looks like it would be a great place to visit when the situation improves.
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the longer video!
Phew, last week we were confused what has happened!
But it was worth to wait for a double episode like this one!
Cheers! Yeah a Double episode this week ;)
The lady with the yellow top has such a wonderful giggle!❤😊 As well the kids having a blast!😂 Wish I could help rebuild.
Thank you Nick for the double episode.
Hope you enjoy the extra length, cheers
This is one of the most important UA-cam channels right now. Thank you so much for sharing your videos with us all.
These videos make me grateful for what I have. No disrespect to anyone in these videos. I see them as strong brave people. ❤
It’s amazing to see how happy those children are, who have little or nothing, yet over here where they have so much, they seem generally sad….
As always thanks for bringing your viewers (including me) virtually to an area of the world that we don't normally hear anything about on the news. Also I was happy to see that @GabrielTraveler & you met up us recently as you and he are my favorite UA-cam vloggers.
hi nick I was in South Africa for 3 months this year was thinking of visiting Mozambique while I was there but did not go will be in S A in December this year I will definitely go this time thanks for your informative and interesting work regards from Ireland James
Thank You. Great work you have done. That one should be shown on televisions all over the world
I live in Australia 🇦🇺 and this channel shows how lucky I am to the rest of the world and how others have internal happiness no matter there situation. Thanks nick for sharing with us
It is true. The life of these people is painful. And many people of the first world countries never think about the life of the people of such countries. I hope one day these inequalities will disappear❤
i had the luck to raise in germany, i am half russian and we are from kazakhstan. I had so much luck to raise in peace not like my ancients. not like poeople and "that world". we should be so happy for everything. we can write in internet, thats a blessing
Definitely the best vlog creator in UA-cam ❤
I have watched over 200 of Nick's videos. Since 2017. Inspired me to Travel and Vlog. Thanks, Nick!
Thank you for the long time support!
@LifeMoves,
200 videos! That's like 60 hours of your life you are never getting back! LOL!
Love your humility in approaching the people. Great video.
Nick, I thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos. I found your channel last year and have been watching every since. Great content and great quality videos. Please be safe in your travels.
Thank you Princess!
I want you to know that I'm always praying for your safety. I'm glad to see another video.
Thank you Michelle! Much love :)
Wow this was such an insight to Mozambique, a part of Africa which I'm sure most people are unaware of. I hope that people could help out more and donate so these people can live a more normal and safe life that they surely deserve. Thank you Nick, much love to you and stay safe brother.
Thank you!
Your videos are so fantastic and informative. What I love is you say ‘this is a beautiful area’ and then say ‘lots of fishermen and kids playing football’. To you the beauty is in the people. That’s why your videos are so great!!
Thank you. You're totally right, that is the main point of beauty for me. Appreciate your words ☺️
The people there are so beautiful. It is absolutely so sad that greed and corruption is taking away money meant to help the people who have become 'invisible' to the government. Fantastic vlog yet again Nick. Thank you.
Their reslience is incredible, great coverage!
Please stay safe love ya work keep it up showing truth to the world 🌎
Praying for these people their resilience is something to be admired 😢I will give to these charities in the description and keep them uplifted in my prayers this really touched my heart
Thank you so much!
Your a very good reporter Nick, you shame main stream media. STAY SAFE. 👍🕊🐨😢
Thank you for tuning in :)
Thank you Nick, for always showing the good and bad sides of the countries that you visit. ❤ The people and landscapes of Mozambique are beautiful.
I'd love to see you go to Zimbabwe next!
Would love to see Zimbabwe!
Love this series of Mozambique, very friendly people, with a lot of desire to go to school and not give up, despite the nothingness in which they live, touches the heart! From Portugal !
Great to see Kiwi's making it on YT. Stay safe!
Appreciate that, thank you :)
I’m so glad you continue to show me places I’d never otherwise see. Thank you. 🇨🇦
Um prazer receber você aqui em Moçambique
Thank you!
Please stay safe in your travels.
This series has been amazing 👏
Thank you for tuning in
Wishing the best for Moçambicanos from Brazil
This man has some huge balls traveling to these horrible places
Thank you!
Where do you live sir? Are you in haven or you also living on Earth just like any other human beings?
Where do live sir? Are you in haven or you living on Earth just like any other human beings?
@@VusiLubisi-o6x I live in Costa Rica. There is no crime and it’s paradise. These dump poor crime ridden countries like that are garbage. Any person from a developed country is risking their life by going to places like that. Facts
@@VusiLubisi-o6x I live in Costa Rica. Paradise with zero crime and white beaches and cheap cost of living for an American !!! I’m legit 41 and retired. I’m living the life. And I WORKED MY BUTT OF FOR DECADES TO GET WHERE I AM. I at one point worked for 26 months straight without a day off! Late 14 to early 17. I paid my dues. I live in the real world sir. I just set myself up to live in paradise through the grind and working my a** off.
Thanks man. I watch all your videos. I appreciate all the work that goes into these. Travel/Danger/Recording/Editing Really!
This Mozambique series has been amazing
Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Big thanks to Edmilson!
I love your channel. I'm absolutely amazed by the amount of
personal risk you place yourself in so you can bring us such
excellent content!
Thank you so much!
So beautiful and serene country with amazing people. In most of our African countries “if not all”, only less than 5% of our population enjoys the wealth of our countries at the expense of the 95% of the population. That’s so sad. 😢
Thank you so much for sharing with us, Nick.
Thank you Mohammad, big love to you as always!
Your videos are amazing and eye opening. The lifestyles that we live and compare it to these places you share with us is heartbreaking. You put yourself at such great risk to show the world what’s out there and you are an amazing person. Thank you!
Government: You can’t go there 🤚
Nick: Don’t believe me, just watch
Thanks for showing these places and amplifying these voices once again 🤍 We all need to continue trying to stay connected and aware of what is going on within our world. Nothing is far away. It’s only distance.
Thank you for the kind words :)
You are starving and losing weight yet you cant talk about it. Just like Venezuela once gubbb mint decided to hyperinflate them into starvation
You had such a great guide to help you around.
Fantastic series as always.
Keep it up.
Totally, Edmilson is a treasure!
Glad to see you back after your well deserved break man, you never miss with these. Never change Nick‼️
Thank you so much!
Thank you for another amazing series. Thank you for asking the right questions and always being respectful.
So many youtubers/bloggers are not very educated about the area they visit, asking dumb questions and offensive comments.
You my friend are way to underappreciated.
Can't wait for what's next.
I love your content!! Keep exploring, I’m learning soo much about other cultures through you ❤❤
Appreciate the support!
Nick- you are an amazing journalist. I’ve said that before and it’s worth repeating again. And you are an incredible videographer. Wish you the best!
Really informative video ❤❤keep making the same stuff 😊😊
Appreciate that, thank you!
It's such an insight to us who live in a bubble how things are in Africa and we wouldn't if we didn't have your eyes and your compassion to show the world as ut is. I've really enjoyed your series, you show the beauty and the reality of Mozambique. Awesome video!
Thank you!
still alive 😊😊?
Looking forward to new content. 👍👍🙂❤️
Love the channel and all the content you post!
I’ve never seen anything on Mozambique before; you taught me a lot! 🇲🇿
If there is 1 thing I have learned from watching your videos is this. When trouble happens your government IS NOT coming to help anyone but themselves.
Govern ment means literally to govern the mental / mind control
One of the bravest you-tubers ever. Great efforts!! Great videos!! You always focus on the communities you visit rather than on yourself. Thank you for helping people understand the world they live in! I wish even more people watch the amazing content you are making. Keep the nice work ❤
I constantly feel like I've had to endure a lot of stuff in my life, and then when I see your videos, it reminds me, that comparatively, I've had it easy. The sheer fortitude they all go through just to not stop trying is amazing.
I am legitimately curious Nick, how many times when you hear the stories that people tell you when you travel, do you just quietly grab a $20 out of a hidden pile of money & slide it to them, knowing that will help them for weeks. I'd go broke doing what you do, I would be trying too much to help each individual.
Definitely a great remember for how good many of us have it. I do regularly give the people I interview a little something. I don't film it generally. I guess it is nice just between me and the individual :) Thank you for watching.
I'm sure he gives them money, its the least he can do for them giving their time to speak to him and the camera.
Such top notch journalism everywhere you go. I love how you are able to show the best of people in sometimes the worst of situations. I honestly pray that corruption could take a seat behind the desire to take care of those in need. Such a beautiful country and beautiful spirit of the people. These governments need to reflect that.
respect for all women in countries like that. they are strong asfuk mentally and in everything. the women here not compareable in europe..
Best notification for a traveller youtuber ever
All the family gather and watch it .
Welcome back
Beautiful, love to the family!
Muitos força pra Moçambique 💪🇲🇿 cumprimentos desde Portugal 🇵🇹
