I love the premise, becoming who you thought you always wanted to be. somehow losing yourself in the process and seeing someone else who does everything that was great about you and be welcomed after you were rejected (maybe rejected is wrong but its almost like a slip or fake love)
They did this movie better in Spanish....it's called 'Open your eyes'
@@Knightfall182 thank you, always enjoy some good stories
@@Knightfall182May be a similar plot, but that movie was remade as Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruises a long time ago.
same, i feel like this will be very good
The film Charly (1968) based on the novella Flowers For Algernon is the best version of the story
a24 just casually dropping heartbreaking movies each year
The film "Tuesday" that came out this summer. I couldn't even make it through the trailer. The actual film was different from the trailer, but still very entertaining.
They're a production company wtf else would they do
this movie was lowkey scary tbh
I think you misread this trailer… this is not going to be a heartbreaking film, lol. It’s a horror/dark-comedy/thriller
Did you not watch the trailer? This isn’t “heartbreaking”
This is the performance we want from Sebastian Stan 👏👏
You haven't seen the movie yet, what if it sucks
Speak for yourself.
Less marvel and more of this from sebastian
This is the performance I wanted to see from Adam Pearson.
Either this or him in Once Upon a Time
Great that Adam Pearson is the protagonist of this film.
I forgot that he was in Under The Skin, nice to see him back
is he the winter soldier guy?
Thats the other guy, Sebastian. They were talking about the guy with the face condition. The actor actually has it, it is not a prosthetic face@@benguensche
@@800Ms-k6n He's also in this directors first film Chained for Life which is excellent
Is he the protagonist? The trailer makes it seem like he's the antagonist... even if he seems like the more likeable charsctrr.
I’m just happy to see Sebastian in the screen again.

My fiance had NF. He passed away a few years ago. I don't think I can handle watching it. Made my heart hurt just watching the trailer. It does look like a good movie.
I'm so sorry hon.
Same, very sorry for you loss. I could definitely see how it would be too hard for you to watch. ❤❤
Grieving is not a straightforward process, and anything that reminds us of a lost loved one can open wounds we thought were healed. Maybe one day you'll want to watch it, but don't feel like you have to!
What's NF?
Sorry for your loss.
I saw this movie at Sydney film Festival, It's absolutely incredible. Sebastian Stan proves his acting chops with this one
is it worth to watch it???
@@danielventura8873I second that?
Sebastian was great the The Education of Charlie Banks.
I feel like he already proved he’s not just a marvel star in Fresh when he was a cannibal he did great in that
@@danielventura8873absolutely, the best way I can describe it is After Hours mixed with Beauty and The Beast
A24 has single-handedly taken the responsibility to save the cinema
i love them for that but also... f ck, we got to a point where one production company alone has to do it. that is just sad
cinema is fine because these people will always be around to make lower budget films that are more artsy but what's still dead are the mainstream franchises that have larger audiences. No one saving those yet
A24 and Neon
@@SoulbentAnimetrue, mainstream cinema is still dead
A24 is the modern day Miramax
Adam Pearson was remarkable in Under The Skin. Cannot WAIT to see this film!
Did you not see Chained for life? You should also check it out.
Okay, he was barely in the movie. Calm down

Movie looks like it was done in the 70's. Love the vibe, the colors, and the framing. A24 rarely dissapoints, so this is immediately on the radar.
Oo but when they disappoint they disappoint fr
I can’t wait to see this movie. Is this a modern version of the Elephant man?
If you still havent seen Adam Pearson in Under the Skin, go watch it. I'm so excited for this! And Sebastian Stan!
Yeah, and Also check out Chained for life.
He was in that movie for like 5 minutes
I am living the opposite. I used to be paid to show up places etc.. and then it all changed with a brain tumor and the neurosurgeon damaging my optic and facial nerve (#7). I did an hour of cardio and ate clean for all the years prior (and then late 30's it all changed). NO DAY IS PROMISED. Never take life for granted.
Really glad for Sebastian that he's getting ACTUAL good, deep acting roles. He deserves it, and I just know he'll be amazing. ❤️
Kudos to a British legend Adam Pearson. Well done!!
HELL YEAH!
This is a nightmare. Knowing for certain your life would be better and you could connect with people if only your face was more normal and when it happens someone else with the same face is happy and confident and people want to know and love them. You're left with an impossible idea, it was never about your face but something else.
It's always a delight to see Renate Reinsve in a new film.
I saw her in Presumed Innocent lately. Great show
She's actually in this show that just came out called Presumed Innocent with Jake Gyllenhaal and a tonna other people, she's amazing as usual
Saw this movie at Berlinale and it literally changed my life. Felt like I’ve seen 3 movies in 1, in the best way possible. So excited to watch it again!
I’ll see anything with Sebastian Stan in it. Amazing actor & so underrated
Same. I'm going to have trouble with the apprentice one though. They need to stop casting hot actors to play vile POS people. lol
Never mind a sad movie, never mind a movie where the bad guy wins, this was one of the most hopeless, depressing, despair-infested films I have ever seen. I neither loved nor hated this film. I didn’t think this film was amazing nor terrible. This was, however, one of the most unique viewing experiences I have ever had. I can’t recall any other film I have seen in which I felt as miserable and utterly crushed as I did while viewing A Different Man. As a young man in 2024, I know I won’t be alone in this feeling. This film is neither a masterpiece nor disaster, but an exceptional example of the emotional effect of cinema. I need a drink.
That’s a lot
As is this film
I did wonder if young men might get kind of broke up about this, thought provoking film, but I kind of think it shows how profound it is when women fall in love, it really isn’t about looks, they often fall in love with an idea of a person, the idea can be someone who is brave or humble not showy etc, although this film really bends the ideas around , so does life I guess
The song is "New York I Love You" by LCD Soundsystem.
If anyone can give a performance like this, its Sebastian Stan. Such an amazing actor, he puts everything into the parts he plays. Im waiting to also see his performance in The Apprentice. Heard it was very well received at Cann film festival, standing ovation for like 10 minutes. Ive not seen a trailer for it yet.
Adam Pearson had a small but pretty good role in Jonathan Glazer's Under The Skin. So it's nice to see him in a bigger supporting role. His face may not be perfect but he has the talent that I hope the world loves him the most for that. Go Adam! ❤🙌
He's also in this directors first film Chained for Life and he's excellent in it
Was he? I don't think he is a good actor at all.
@@ArticulateWarbling🤡
Small but good?! His role was significant and anchored the whole film. So pleased he’s giving us another performance to enjoy look forward to :)
Who has a perfect face?
Saw this at Sundance, it's an incredible film with some great acting, good comedic bits and philosophical thinking moments about who a person really is
Thought Sebastian Stan was Vince Vaughn the whole time.
He truly was a different man.
Hahaha i also thought it was Vaughn
Same. I was so confused.
Adam Pearson was riveting to watch back in Under The Skin, his performances always feel genuine in an inexplicable way.
LCD Soundsystem X A24 ❤

Sebastian Stan better be getting some Oscar buzz for leading performance
Likely to get me-too‘d beforehand
*Adam Pearson
The movie isn’t even out wtf are u talking about
@@Shmigo22 Always remember: most people are stupid and reactionary.
@@Shmigo22 Demanding he gets Oscar buzz for a well-edited trailer is actually absurd 😭
Adam Pearson may very likely wind up an Academy Award nominee. Good for him. And it's not like he came out of nowhere - he's got a Jonathan Glazer film credit under his belt. He's an actor with pedigree.
Said before, say again A24 is the only studio making great movies for the last 10+ years now . .
Neon, IFC, Film4, all doing great work. And come on man, let's give the writer and director some props to - A24 distribute movies, they aren't behind the camera.
@@crumblebee6728 peoples brains have been broken by marketing. 90% of commenters praising A24 every time a trailer drops have no idea what A24 actually is or its role in the film making process. It's like celebrity worship.
Was lucky to see this gem of a movie at Sundance earlier this year, and trust me when I say it's one of the smartest and funniest films of 2024 with the most perfect ending I've seen since Whiplash. Adam Pearson and Sebastian Stan better get Oscar nominations.
damn, a whiplash comparison? i was excited already for the film but this comment got me even more hyped!
Wasn't the actor seen at the 00:11 mark the same one from "Under The Skin"?
Yes!
That’s actually sebastian Stan with special effects makeup, Adam Pearson (guy from under the skin) appears at 0:54 :)
Nope
I LOVE YOU SEBASTIAN STAN!!!
Sebastian Stan low key becoming one of the best actors of his generation.
Sebastian Stan in ages they were thinking about him since then!
This is the performance we want from Sebastian Stan
I'm waiting for it! Sebastian Stan is brilliant and should win Oscar!
Finally!!!!! I’m so proud of Seb and the team of ADM❤❤❤
This film is truly amazing and nothing you would ever expect.I saw it twice when it premiered in new york and I would see it again and again. The performances were amazing and Sebastian Stan continues to blow minds with how truly truly good he is at his craft.I wish with him every award out there.
saw this in NYC earlier this year.. It's SO great. Aaron Schimberg and the others really created a comical nod to NYC... something I hope everyone will dig as much as I did
A24 is probably my favorite studio. Always putting out bangers.
When Sebastian Stan’s not dominating blockbuster franchises or critically-acclaimed shows, he dedicates a lot of his time and talent to the world of independent films. I love that.
Saw this at Sydney Film Festival and highly recommend it. Fantastic film.
This is perfect. I can't wait to watch it, all the performances are amazing. Sebastian Stan is so talented, and this is one of his best performances. Oscar worthy film for sure. Perfection.❤️👏🏻
this looks like another movie that's gonna shatter my heart to pieces but I'm here for it

I wonder what they’re up to since the Heretic trailer looks like Jenna Ortega but it’s not.

Sebastian is gonna knock this out of the park
Makes me extremely happy to see Adam Pearson in a leading role
Been excited for this one for a while, so stoked to finally get a trailer for it now!!
I myslef and my family have NF in different severity levels, and i'm very glad to see it in film to raise awareness with intersting plot along the way.
I came a cross with unpleasant encounters of pepole with my father, and it would be nice that pepole will know about this genetic mutation.
Wish there really would be a cure of this sort, but recognition is a nice start :)
I have NF1 too and agree with you.
@@federicomanuelolveira7658 have NF1 as well
I thought I knew exactly where this story was going up until halfway through the trailer. This movie has ALL of my attention now
Give my man Sebastian his Oscar already🙏
90 seconds. Here it is hollywood. Here's how to do a 90 second trailer, not give away the whole god damn plot, and make people want to see something.
At this point, we need an A24+ or something cause I wanna binge watch all A24 movies
Adam Pearson! He had his film debut in 2013's _Under the Skin_ alongside Scarlett Johansson and yes, that is not make-up but a medical condition called neurofibromatosis.
Yeah we fuckin know already cringeboy

I saw this movie last month and it was incredible. I can not wait for more people to see it!
9.2/10 wonderful movie. Beautifully crafted. In the last 3 years this is in my top 5 movies. A sadistically dark humorous movie with a beautiful outlook on the emotional human life. A MUST WATCH.
whats interesting is Adam Pearson has a twin who doesn't show NF by tumor growths but through memory. So he appears average in appearance by has difficult remembering and retaining information. The interesting part is this condition doesn't not present itself in one way but actually effects numerous genes down to have memory difficulty.
I have NF. I don't have a severe case as Adam. Causes issues for me. memory is one
Adam Pearson is a phenomenal actor!- soooo glad he's finally getting his big break!
Saw the documentary of the actual guy a few years ago, glad he’s doing well!
I have neurofibromatosis and will soon have plastic surgery to remove growths but I'm starting to wonder if I should bother, because who am I doing it for? Me? I've accepted my appearance (not always easy)...or is it to make others comfortable when they look at me. I think I might hold off watching this film for a while, although I am certain it is great. Most of my growths are internal and covering most of my body. Not so much my face.
My wife has NF1 and has had some removed for cosmetic and medical reasons. When we first started dating she had one on her thigh right next to the muscle tissue that was causing pain. Next she had one on the bottom of her foot and on one of her toes removed for pain as well. She has had one removed from her chest/collar bone and one from her hand for cosmetic reasons. It really is up to you if you would like to get them removed.
My wife has one growth on her face that just popped up and she is self conscious about it. I can't speak for her, but I will always see her as the most beautiful person I have ever met. I understand it's not my body or condition, but growths through our years have never changed anything in our relationship.
She is also scared to see the movie in theaters. I was very excited when I saw the trailer that NF was finally getting some representation, but she doesn't know if she can see it in theaters. If we don't go see it, I will at least buy tickets to support it and try to pass them to friends and family.
Sorry to ramble, I hope your day and week goes well :)
@@EdgarAllenPwn Hi Edgar, yes you are right, it is a personal choice. Some growths are just there, but some has caused me severe issues, like my right hearing is completely gone due to a cochlear growth (I've since had a BAHA implant done which helps somewhat). The growths never bothered me that much, when I've been living in the UK, because it's mostly cold, I'm covered up. But since I moved to DR Congo, with warmer climate, I wear short sleeves and it looks like I've been gang banged by Mosquitoes,😆
Recast Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker he would be amazing
He did look like Mark Hamill in a couple of scenes.
im so excited for this, Sebastian kills every role hes ever touched
With this and The Apprentice, this year might just be the one where Sebastian Stan finally enters the big leagues. All in on the ride
Because I didn't know the title I was gonna watch a trailer first, but as soon I saw the A24 logo I was confident it would be worth it.
I got nf1 and alot that comes with it like the scoliosis and neurofibroma I got it from my mom and she her dad not sure about further back WE ARE ALL STRONG AND CAN MAKE THRU THIS
