  • In this episode of my build project I bypass the fuel selector valve. I determined last time that the valve was bad. There are no good options. This valve has been a turd from the beginning and Ford apparently fixed it by no longer offering dual tanks. :( The innards are poorly engineered as well and it was clearly designed to save a buck while possibly switching tanks. I wasn't quite ready to put $100's into the truck fuel system yet. I wanted to bypass the valve without modifying the fuel lines. In this video I show how to do that and get the truck running again for less than $35. This is a 1990 F-350 Crew Cab Long Bed truck with a IDI 7.3 non-turbo motor in it. I rescued it from a field on a farm and am putting it back to work.
