I'm pretty sure Ryan Blaney rode his brakes so Austin could get in front of him. They knew that Brad would've probably wrecked either of them for the win, so it was better for them, as teammates, to be helping each other.
Driving these cars looks so easy from the overhead shots on Fox... From this angle... Not so much. The way these guys push and get squirrely at 180 mph is nothing short of terrifying.
Love the angle, glad they do it, great race... but "in-car" says the title, this is clearly "on-car". It's on the roof, not in the cockpit, which would make it 'in' the car
No, no I wouldnt and Cindric shouldnt have either. Minutes before that Blaneys crew chief reminded him that while they want to win, they want the "chief" to win....meaning Roger. So are you telling me Austin didnt get the same message? Blaney covered his ass for 40 plus laps and was a perfect teammate. So the one time Austin was going to get beat he buries Blaney in the wall, nearly costing them both. Ryan went apeshit on the radio and said he was going to kill the kid. I think he should literally beat his ass Monday morning in the conference room right on the boardroom table....in front of Roger. You think Dale, Kyle, Kevin, Rusty, or any of the older Nascar crowd would have allowed that shit? First real race of the season. NASCAR knew there would be problems that would need to be fixed. Anything new always has teething problems. All of the problems will be addressed.
I have to admit that for the last several decades I’ve been watching the Daytona 500 every February like I said for decades probably for almost 30 years and I have to admit I don’t like this new GEN six car or whatever they’re calling this car it seems too boxy for me and the tires are completely worthless because if you get a flat the car just completely disintegrates and you can’t move or do anything if you end up with a flat tire there’s no space no give no nothing this race this Daytona was OK but I did curious to see what the viewership isFor this race
At 3:48:12 you can see his own teammate Austin Cindric throws a block at him, Ryan Blaney have nowhere to go but only can hit the right-side wall 🤷♂️ And Ryan Blaney is a talented driver, he play clean, keep his position very well through out this race, he also help and pushes Austin Cindric to sacrifice himself, and he was so close to win this race. And the biggest choker in this Motorsport is #11 Denny Hamlin bud, this guy never won a Championship, always choke and losing. I don't blame Austin and Ryan, I'm glad at least a Penske driver helping his own Rookie teammate to the victory lane, and give this victory to Roger Penske the team owner himself for his 85th Birthday.
The harmonizing of the engines at full throttle is beautiful.
